After six years, I revisited PARLA and tried their Sugar Butter Truffle crepe. Unlike crepes overloaded with cream, this one had the perfect balance of the crepe's flavor, saltiness, and sweetness. It brought back memories of pre-COVID times, walking through the streets of Tokyo, enjoying crepes along the way.

The air was filled with humidity, making me want to grimace involuntarily. The heat was unbearable, not what I would expect for September. Feeling down from the heat, I decided to stop by and have something sweet after a long time. The elegant exterior of the place caught my attention as always. What I ordered: Seasonal Crepe for 1580 yen. The seasonal crepe was peach-flavored. The cream, a mix of sweetness and tartness, had a great aftertaste, and paired perfectly with the peach fruit. The price of the crepe was quite high, but the taste was worth it, the best I've ever had. Though I usually only eat the same thing, so it's technically only the second type I've tried (laughs). Either way, it was nice to see them carefully making each crepe right there. I would like to visit again when the season changes.

After enjoying a hot stone bath, my friend and I felt like having something sweet, so we decided to drop by this place. We were happy to find that it was still open even though it was past 8 pm. We chose the limited edition peach crepe to share, which cost 1600 yen. It may seem pricey for a crepe, but the taste was elegant and worth it (they only gave us two bites). The champagne jelly was sophisticated and had an adult flavor! We even joked that we could eat three more.

#Today's sweet treat, Parla's white peach Bellini. It's just delicious. This menu is my favorite, a summer delight. The scent of peach, the freshness, the crunchy texture. The whipped cream that's just right, not too heavy. The raspberry that hits the spot. The crunchy almond slices. It's cool with the granita. Yummy. #SweetTooth #Dessert #Sweets #SweetTreat #TokyoEats #TokyoSweets #GinzaSweets #Crepes #Peach #PeachSweets #PeachLover #PeachCrepes

During my stroll in Ginza, I changed my plans and decided to wander around Hibiya instead. It was too hot, so I stopped for some hydration. I had been curious about PARLA for a while, so I checked it out. I wanted to try their crepes, but today I chose their homemade lemonade instead. It cost ¥648. On a scorching hot day, it's important to replenish with citric acid, salt, and fluids like lemonade. The sweet and sour lemonade was refreshing for my heated body. I'd like to visit again to try their crepes next time.

Located on a side street, not inside Tokyu Plaza, so be careful not to get lost! This crepe shop is not like the cheap ones you find at amusement parks, but rather a high-end, authentic crepe shop. They offer a variety of sweet and savory crepes. For some reason, the staff at the Ginza location are not as friendly as at other branches, but not necessarily bad...

PARLA in Ginza. This is a crepe shop that was exhibiting at a French exhibition at Isetan Shinjuku the other day. They have other stores in Omotesando and Tokyo Station, and I was interested in their design so I visited. The location is on the back side of Ginza Tokyu Plaza, across from a small park. It's a small shop where you can take out or enjoy at the counter table. What I had that day was... a pistachio and chocolate crepe. It was a beautiful crepe with two colors of cream, decorated with chocolate sweets, pistachios, and orange peel. The contrast in flavors and textures made it delicious. It's a casual place to stop by, so I might drop in again... Thank you for the meal.

"Parla" is a crepe specialty shop located on the first floor of Tokyu Plaza in Ginza, Tokyo. They use carefully selected ingredients to make high-end crepes that cost over 1,000 yen each. Being in Ginza, it's not surprising that there were many foreign visitors when I went there. Each crepe offers a refined and delicious taste, with seasonal ingredients changing regularly. Some crepes even cost over 2,000 yen each. If you love crepes, I highly recommend treating yourself to this occasional luxury experience!

A crepe shop located a few minutes' walk from Yurakucho Station. I visited around lunchtime. The shop does not have seating inside, it is a take-out style shop. However, there is a small park right in front of the shop, so you won't have trouble finding a place to eat. This time, I ordered the "Pudding a la Mode". The price was over 1500 yen, reflecting its high-quality ingredients. But the taste was truly exceptional. The pudding, fruit, and crepe dough all had a gentle sweetness that made it easy to eat. Even those who don't like sweet things won't be able to stop eating this delicious crepe. If you're in Yurakucho or Ginza, why not give it a try? Thank you for the meal.

Located on the side of the Sukiyabashi Park at Tokyu Plaza, this place may be hard to find for those who don't know about it. I was intrigued by their high-end menu featuring items like Sugar Butter Truffle and Caviar that seem perfect for pairing with alcohol. Upon visiting, I found a selection of unique and tasteful dishes that you don't see at other restaurants. Crepes with flavors like rose and strawberry, fig and blue cheese were particularly interesting. Looking back at past seasonal crepes, combinations like white peach with champagne jelly or pineapple with coconut and passion fruit were all to my liking. On this visit, I tried Lemon Biscuit, Caramel Praline, and Iced Cafe Latte. I love lemon cream, and this one had just the right amount of whipped cream and a crunchy biscuit that didn't overpower the dish. The coffee was also delicious. They also serve alcohol. I realized I need to check their seasonal menu regularly to try out new flavors.

I had bookmarked this place for a few years now, but never really felt motivated to go due to the prices. However, after a disappointing lunch, I decided to give it a try. It was a scorching hot day, with temperatures reaching 32°C, making it the hottest May day in 19 years. The only table near the register was so hot that it felt like a summer day. I had to leave right after eating because of the direct sunlight.
Blue cheese and fig red wine crepe ¥1380 (tax included): I love both blue cheese and figs, but I had never thought of combining them. In reality, the figs were the main focus with just a hint of saltiness from the blue cheese towards the end. It felt more like a dessert, similar to when cheese or dried fruits are served at the end of a course meal. The sweetness of the figs in red wine complemented the lack of sweetness in the cream, creating a balanced taste. The visible specks in the batter might be vanilla beans. I don't usually eat crepes, apart from the ones in Harajuku a long time ago, but this one was completely different. Due to the strong sunlight in the location, I recommend visiting in the evening rather than during the day.

I visited around 8:30 pm on weekends and was able to purchase smoothly. I bought a chestnut Mont Blanc crepe for 1320 yen. The crepe had thin dough but was rolled multiple times, giving it a satisfying texture. Personally, I could taste the flavor of galette, but as a result, the whipped cream and Mont Blanc felt less flavorful. I wonder if it's the same at Omotesando as well. If I have the chance, I'd like to try it. Thank you for the meal.

You can enjoy freshly made crepes as they are cooked one by one after ordering. The batter is made with vanilla beans, giving it a slightly thick and luxurious texture that is very delicious. I ordered the sophisticated bitter chocolate banana crepe, which had a perfect balance of bitter chocolate flavor and crunchy nuts. I would love to try other flavors as well.

The shop is set up like a food stall near a nearby park, where many people enjoy eating. The popular item is crepes, with some high-end options costing over 2000 yen. This time, I chose a lemon biscuit crepe, while my partner had a sugar butter truffle crepe. The truffle one had a more sophisticated flavor.

I finally got to visit a parlor I've always wanted to go to! The menu didn't have any photos, so I couldn't imagine how it would look like... I had the pudding a la mode! There was no cream at the bottom, so it ended with just the custard, but overall it was delicious!

In addition to the locations in Omotesando and Ginza, the crepe specialty shop "PÄRLA" has opened a new store at Kurobei Yokocho near Tokyo Station in 2023. Personally, I feel that the Omotesando location is more delicious, but the Ginza location is more convenient for me, so I decided to try it after 7 years. The concept of the Ginza store is "High Collar Dandy," with a romantic atmosphere reminiscent of the Taisho era. The menu also seems to have a slight Japanese influence. I finally tried the "Pudding a la Mode" that I had been wanting to try. As the name suggests, it is like a crepe version of Pudding a la Mode. The cute-sized firm pudding on top is rich in egg flavor and quite enjoyable. The texture of sliced almonds and the sweet and sourness of the fruits can be felt here and there, with the caramel sauce adding a nice accent to the last bite. However, the crepe itself, with rum and nuts, has a dry and rough texture that is honestly not very delicious. The crepe seems to be overshadowed by the toppings. My impression hasn't changed much even after 7 years. Since I sometimes visit the Omotesando area recently, I plan to try the main store there as well.

It was an expensive crepe. I ordered the pudding a la mode and it was very delicious. There were only two seats available, so if there are no seats, it seems like you have to eat in the nearby park. I was able to sit because there were no people, but later there were people lining up. It depends on the timing.

Rose and Wood Strawberry Crepe ¥1500/person
The crepe was topped with various berries, but there were so many red currants that it could be called a Red Currant Crepe. The frozen red currants were too sour and disappointing. It may be better to rename the crepe as Red Currant and Rose. It looked fancy at first, but there wasn't much filling inside, so it was a letdown. There are only two outdoor seats, and for the price, it's quite expensive considering it's mostly standing room only.

Sweets lovers highly praise the taste. The level of crepes is exceptional. The dough is moistened with rum and filled with high-quality fresh cream. Every ingredient is carefully selected, resulting in a luxurious crepe that is not too sweet or heavy. Treat yourself to this high-end crepe!

A crepe shop in Ginza that uses high-quality ingredients. The pudding a la mode is delicious. The ingredients are unique and the crepes are stylish, typical of Ginza. It's worth trying at least once. They make sure the toppings are included all the way to the last bite. They even have the ultimate Caviar Crepe for 2,900 yen. I want to try it!

After over a year, I revisited this place and the taste remains consistent. However, I noticed that the portion size has decreased and the ingredients are less abundant. The crepe used to be neatly rolled into a cone shape, but now it's more rectangular. It also seems smaller than before, even smaller than when I ordered it through Uber. Despite these changes, I enjoyed it because I was craving it. The crepe dough must still be moist and soft. Although it's not chestnut season, the Mont Blanc with candied chestnuts, chestnut paste, and meringue texture was delicious.
