I purchased 5 each of the red bean paste and custard-filled imagawayaki for 160 yen each. They have a very sweet aroma. The red bean paste filling is plentiful but not too sweet, which is nice. The custard cream filling is delicious and I enjoyed it a lot.

I wandered around the shopping street looking for something to satisfy my hunger, and ended up getting a takeout from the affordable o-yaki shop in front of the station. I couldn't decide between the classic red bean paste or the mayonnaise sausage, but in the end, I chose custard and bought one. I enjoyed it quickly on the side of the shop. Well, the taste was just a typical o-yaki.

Nakano Station is located near Sanmall, just across the pedestrian crossing (Broadway side), next to the standing soba and kaisei shops. As soon as I got off the station, I was captivated by the delicious smell of oyaki and bought some. The freshly baked aroma of these oyaki reminds me of festival stalls! Oh, I think this place was featured on a TV show where sumo wrestler Takanohana visited and competed in a queue counting challenge! There are various types of oyaki, but I recommend the custard flavor. I also tried the mayonnaise sausage following the scent of the stalls - it's not ham! I got 4 hot oyaki to go and enjoyed them with beer at home. Even after 30 minutes, they were still warm and paired perfectly with beer. The mayonnaise sausage, which is more like a ham, complements the slight acidity of the mayonnaise and the texture of the oyaki. And the custard oyaki was just right, not too sweet. If they were this delicious, I should have bought more!

There is a large pancake shop located about a 1-minute walk from Nakano Station where you can get one for under 200 yen, making it perfect for when you're feeling a bit peckish. I ordered the sweet potato paste for 180 yen and custard for 160 yen, both had just the right amount of sweetness and were good value for money, so I recommend them. They have a wide variety of flavors, so I'd like to try other flavors next time. This is a must-visit shop when you're in Nakano. Thank you for the meal!

After stopping by Nakano on the way back, I thought I'd buy some souvenirs at a shop near the station. There were so many flavors to choose from, I couldn't decide! In the end, I ended up buying quite a few different ones. Well, if I can't finish them all, I can just freeze them, right? It's easy to tell the flavors apart because they have different stamps on them. The pine one was cheese and sweet bean paste! I also bought a summer limited edition one that caught my eye! I tried to break it for the photo, but it ended up a bit flat... This mango cream one is so delicious! I regret not buying more. The mango cream is rich and tasty, and the dough is fluffy! The red bean paste has a good amount and the hint of salt adds a nice touch to enhance the sweetness, not too sweet but just right. The pork sausage with mayonnaise tasted similar to a favorite taiyaki place I used to frequent in the past, it made me feel relieved. It's tough to start over and find new favorite places after moving, but I'll enjoy discovering new places little by little. I'll definitely buy this one again!

There is an ohagi shop in front of Nakano Station that always has long lines. After purchasing, I moved to the front of Nakano Central Plaza, where there is a spacious plaza-like area that feels comfortable. The large sweet bean paste filling was delicious, and it made me feel nostalgic. Thank you for the meal.

I was torn between choosing something sweet or something salty, but ended up selecting the Cheese-filled Anko which offers both flavors. The cheese is cream cheese with a salty taste that complements the sweet red bean paste. It's a shame they only accept cash, but it's a perfect snack for when you're feeling a bit peckish.

I visited "Oyaki-dokoro Furetei," a specialty shop for imagawayaki, just a 1-minute walk from Nakano Station. I arrived around 12:30 on a Sunday and there was no line, so I quickly made my purchase. I bought the Hana (red bean paste) for 160 yen. The fluffy and moist skin paired perfectly with the sweet and rich red bean paste, making it delicious. I enjoyed it until the very last bite.

This time, I visited "Oyaki-dokoro Refutei" located right in front of Nakano Station. This is a popular oyaki shop that always has a crowd in front of it. I tried their oyaki this time, and it was simply delicious with a fluffy dough. The oyaki I had was filled with custard cream, marked with the character for "moon". The custard cream was sweet and melting, perfectly complementing the savory taste of the dough. The price was also reasonable at 140 yen, making it a great value for money.

While working in Nakano, I picked up some "imagawayaki" (sweet filled pancake) from a shop facing the north exit rotary. I got the "anko" (red bean paste) and cream cheese flavors. They got a bit squished in my bag, but after warming them up in the microwave and toasting them in the oven, they were almost as good as fresh. Delicious!

I discovered a yaki (grilled dumpling) shop lined up in front of the station! I love cheese anko, so I tried the cheese-filled anko! The tangy cheese perfectly matches the sweet anko, making it irresistible for cheese anko lovers. The anko is soft, and you can enjoy the texture of the whole bean anko. The stylish "松" (pine) brand is also stamped on it ^_^ It seems that the stamp is different for each type. They offer freshly made dumplings, so you can enjoy the warm and crispy texture. It's a way to enjoy it by buying and eating it right away. The menu is also rich, with options such as red bean paste, white bean paste, custard cream, chocolate cream, and mochi-filled red bean paste, which is attractive. You can also enjoy unusual flavors such as mayonnaise pork sausage, cream cheese, and baked sweet red bean paste. It's recommended for eating while walking around♪

This shop always has a long line and is in a good location near Nakano Station, so I decided to try it today. After waiting for about 10 minutes, I arrived. I chose the seasonal sakura mochi. The inside was chewy with a slight firmness. Overall, it had a typical taste.

◼️This shop offers around 9 different types of fillings at all times, each with a unique branding. Located at the entrance of Nakano Sun Mall shopping street, this shop is loved by locals for its playful touch. The sakura bean paste filling is fluffy and chewy, with a softness that leaves an indent when held. Although small, the dorayaki has a good thickness. The sticky filling has a strong sakura flavor and a solid hint of saltiness.◼️Established in 1984, the shop uses 100% Hokkaido red beans.◼️◼️This is my first time logging in, despite frequent visits. There is always a line, but sometimes you can find a moment when there are no customers. It's enjoyable to watch the dorayaki being made right in front of you, with attention to detail like cutting the edges with scissors and stamping the branding.

Every time I pass by this shop, there is always a long line. This time, I had some time so I decided to buy something. I personally love custard, so I ordered it without hesitation. Luckily, I was able to buy a freshly made one. When I tried it, it was piping hot! But the pastry wasn't overly sweet and the custard was rich and delicious. I will definitely come back for more.

After eating, I couldn't help but say how delicious it was. The skin is soft and chewy! The soft and chewy skin is so good that I think it could be patented by Refutei. The red bean paste and cream are also not too sweet, which brings out the deliciousness of the skin! If you come to Nakano, be sure to try it out!

After finishing my errands in Nakano, I stopped by a shop. ~Items purchased~ Sweet red bean paste filled pastry for 160 yen. Sweet potato and red bean paste pastry for 180 yen. Cream cheese pastry for 180 yen. The sweet potato and red bean paste pastry was so potato-like! Most things disappoint you when you eat them, but this one was surprisingly tasty and potato-like! The sweet red bean paste pastry and cream cheese pastry were also delicious.

Around 1:15 pm on a holiday, I waited for about 5 minutes. I ordered a white bean paste for 160 yen and a mayonnaise-filled pork sausage for 180 yen. The shop is located just a 1-minute walk from Nakano Station. They only accept cash payments. The shop has been in business for almost 40 years and is a famous spot in front of Nakano Station. Originally, they sold taiyaki and soft serve ice cream, but during the taiyaki boom, they decided to specialize in imagawayaki to differentiate themselves. It's a perfect location, just a 5-second walk from the north exit of Nakano Station, at the entrance of Sunroad. There is often a line in front of the shop. They offer 9 varieties of imagawayaki, including white bean paste, custard cream, chocolate, mochi-filled bean paste, mayonnaise-filled pork sausage, cream cheese, cheese-filled bean paste, and sweet potato bean paste. During the winter season, you can also order apple cream. Each variety has a different stamp on it for easy identification. The size of the imagawayaki is typical, and the dough is made with carefully selected flour and three times the usual amount of eggs, resulting in a fluffy texture. The white bean paste is rare and has a nice sweetness to it. The mayonnaise-filled pork sausage tastes like eating a sandwich.
