I passed by this shop before and was curious, so this was my first visit. It's a tonkatsu specialty shop, and I ordered the chicken tenderloin cutlet set. The staff told me that women can have less rice and cabbage, which was very helpful. The shop is stylish and doesn't look like a regular set meal shop. The staff are also stylish, there is background music playing, and the atmosphere is nice. I was surprised that the chicken tenderloin cutlet set was only 1100 yen, considering the portion size. The chicken was crispy on the outside but not dry inside, and very delicious. It went well with the tartar sauce. There are various options on the menu, and even the more expensive ones are under 1400 yen, so I thought it was affordable. They also have fried oysters and takeout options like chicken tenderloin cutlet rice bowl, which I think are worth trying. I think I'm going to get hooked on chicken cutlets. It's a stylish set meal shop that I recommend for a date.

Wait. However, delicious. When I arrived at 12:00 on Sunday, there were 5 people lined up. It seems like they fry it before serving, so there is a wait. After waiting for over 30 minutes, I was called. The 3 kinds of platter cost 1390 yen, so I decided to try the 1050 yen set with chicken tenderloin and breast. It arrived in a few minutes. It looks like tartar sauce is on top of the cabbage. This tartar sauce is delicious. The cabbage also has dressing on it. Most importantly, the chicken is freshly fried, crispy, hot, and delicious. There was sauce on the table, but I didn't get tired of the taste and enjoyed it enough without changing the flavor. The thinness of the chicken was perfect and easy to eat, and the portion was just right for me. There was a lot of rice, so next time I'll ask for less.

The chicken thighs were tender and delicious, as well as the tenderloin and breast meat. The homemade tartar sauce paired perfectly with the cutlets, and the rice and cabbage being all-you-can-eat made me eat a lot. This is definitely a restaurant I want to visit again.

I visited this restaurant because I saw a long line before, but today there was no line when I arrived around 2 pm on Saturday. I ordered the chicken tenderloin and pork cutlet set for 1180 yen. It was a bit disappointing. While the cabbage portion was large and impressive, the chicken tenderloin was thin and the pork cutlet was average. Honestly, I feel like I could have gotten a better meal at a chain restaurant. They offer free refills of cabbage, which is nice, but they don't provide dressing. Instead, they ask you to use the sauce on the table. I personally don't like eating cabbage with sauce because it makes the taste too bland, so this style didn't suit me. I wonder if they would have added dressing if I had asked. Maybe I had high expectations from seeing the long line.

There are surprisingly few chicken cutlet restaurants. Today, I visited Torikatsu Tarutaru Kin'iro in Koenji, a specialty chicken cutlet shop. Nearby, there are many popular shops like Oe Curry and Tokoi. Today, being my first time, I ordered the three kinds of chicken cutlet set where you can try all parts of the chicken. Rice and cabbage are free for refills.
■What I Ate
- Three kinds of chicken cutlet set: ¥1390
- Grated ponzu sauce: ¥130
It arrived in about 15 minutes. First of all, the amount of cabbage is amazing. The chicken cutlet has a crispy coating and tender meat, and the homemade tartar sauce is consistently delicious. It's delicious, but I feel like I want a bit more uniqueness that a specialty shop should have. Whether it's the brand of chicken, the way it's fried, or the presentation, besides the generous portion, there is a bit lacking in impact. Also, the miso soup without any ingredients feels lonely. If it had ingredients, like a chicken soup, it would have been more favorable. I think the concept is good, so if there were a few more curveballs, it would become an even better restaurant.

The pork cutlet is crispy and refreshing, and the sweet tartar sauce is delicious. It goes well with rice and cabbage! It would be even better if they included extra tartar sauce when you ask for more cabbage! I was completely satisfied with a bottle of beer and the set meal. I want to try a different cut next time!

Today, I was in the mood for rice so I was looking for a set meal restaurant and found a delicious looking place. There was a line for one group so I waited. Luckily, it wasn't raining. The wait was outside so umbrellas are necessary on rainy days. I waited for about 10 minutes and then sat down. I ordered a set with chicken tenderloin and thigh meat. It looked like I could easily finish it, but with the tartar sauce and cabbage, I ended up quite full. I think the meat was pounded thin, not naturally thin. It was crispy and came with a generous amount of tartar sauce, as well as pickles and pickled plum. You can have unlimited refills of rice and cabbage. The restaurant had a stylish design and played mellow Western music, which added to the cleanliness and high rating of the place! It's a place I want to visit when I'm really hungry.

I have been visiting a tonkatsu specialty restaurant since the Sangenjaya era. They use domestically sourced meat. Payment is made with cash at the ticket machine, but you can also use PayPay. After purchasing a ticket and handing it to the staff, a hearty set meal arrives in about 10 minutes. The cabbage portion is quite generous. The rice is served hot alongside pickles, umeboshi, and miso soup with a hint of greenness. The tonkatsu is incredibly crispy and goes well with the rice. The cabbage is lightly dressed, and when mixed with tartar sauce, it becomes like coleslaw, making it easy to finish till the end. I ordered the assorted three types set, while my wife got the Tokyo Olympics commemorative set. The staff considerately asks female customers about their preferred cabbage and rice portion sizes. The staff also offers tea refills and additional rice, showing a level of kindness uncommon in Koenji. I heard that the fried oysters are also delicious, so I want to try them next time. The compact interior of the restaurant can get a bit crowded near the entrance with waiting customers, and the average stay time is about 35 minutes. It seems like there may be a lunchtime queue, so early evening might be a better time to visit. Overall, the balance of the restaurant is quite good. If you ever get lost looking for a restaurant in Koenji, I highly recommend trying this place out as the food is delicious.

Mom and breast mix set (with free rice refill, pickled plum, pickles, miso soup) for 1130 yen. A popular chicken cutlet specialty store located about 5 minutes south of Koenji Station. It's only a counter seat, but it always seems crowded for lunch. Since it's a chicken cutlet, it's basically a chicken cutlet. The crispy coating is wrapped around it, with the thigh being soft and juicy, and the breast being moist and delicious. The plentiful special tartar sauce has a strong mayo flavor that everyone loves. It's not topped with sweet sauce, so it's not chicken nanban. I love tartar sauce, so next time I think I'll add extra tartar sauce.

Tonkatsu Tartar! A restaurant with a name that says it all. I visited this place again because I enjoyed it so much. I arrived around 12:30 on a weekday and only had to wait a few minutes. There are around 10 seats at the counter. They offer three types of chicken cutlets: thigh, breast, and tenderloin, as well as a variety of sets including a mixed cutlet plate and even fried oysters. I ordered the Olympic set which comes with fried oysters. The oysters were average in size and quality, but the rice, pickles, and umeboshi were delicious. You can also get free refills on rice. The cutlets were thin and crispy, but quite filling so be careful not to overeat. The tartar sauce was light and not too heavy on flavor. I personally prefer a heavier sauce, but they provide it on the side so I enjoyed it in a more refined manner.

Crispy and tasty chicken breast meat, delicious! I've known this place since it opened, and it's great to see it getting more customers through word of mouth. The service is friendly and makes the experience even better. Lots of cabbage served. I'd love to meet the owner and see how they lead their staff. A must-visit restaurant in Koenji! Prices may be over 1000 yen, but if the food is delicious, it's worth it. Koenji has many delicious and affordable restaurants.

It's been 2 years since my last visit. I ordered the same Tokyo Olympics support set as last time (1150 yen). In December 2022, it was 1000 yen, so it seems to have been raised in response to the times. When I placed my order, they asked about the amount of rice and cabbage. I ordered both as normal. When it arrived, the large portion of cabbage caught my eye. The chicken cutlet, whether breast or thigh, was juicy and delicious without any dryness. The tartar sauce was generously applied, with a good balance of acidity and sweetness, making it very tasty. The oyster fry was also fluffy and excellent. The staff looked young and the restaurant seemed very impressive.

After a meeting in Koenji, I had some time to spare and wanted to have a meal with some side dishes. I spotted people eating at a counter with lights on, and decided to join them. Without searching on Tabelog, I ordered a set of chicken breast, thigh, and tenderloin with two oysters added, along with a beer to enjoy while waiting. And then, I encountered the visual in the first picture here. It reminded me of the scene where Daikichi Sone took on the challenge of a large portion in a 30-minute battle! When I saw it, I immediately thought "No way!" and felt a strange "wall". However, surprisingly, I was able to eat it. It turned out to be lighter than I expected. The tartar sauce and chicken fry had a decent combination, but personally, I think tartar sauce goes best with seafood fry. Oysters were the most delicious, and now I'm craving for shrimp. I successfully finished everything! If the cabbage was cut more finely, the tartar sauce and fry would have a better balance, and the overall dish would come alive. The thinner the cabbage is cut, the lighter and fresher it becomes. Also, it seems that the tartar sauce can be served on a separate plate, so I'll ask for that next time. Having the tartar sauce on top adds to the overwhelming feeling of the large portion, so separating it might help reduce that intimidation. It seems that I have a physiological wall when it comes to large portions. The taste was delicious. The staff was very polite and likeable. Keep up the good work! After the meal, the most full feeling of the year finally hit me. Thank you for the meal.

The frying technique was excellent and the dish was delicious until the last bite. The tempura was light and crispy, and the cabbage had a nice texture. The rice was sprinkled with sesame seeds, and even though I asked for a small portion, I ended up getting a second helping. The staff was efficient and their dedication was evident. I found out that next time I can request the tempura to be served separately.

Located a 4-minute walk from Koenji Station South Exit in Tokyo, Torikatsu Tarutaru Kin'iro offers a set menu of chicken tenderloin and chicken breast cutlets for 900 yen. This chicken cutlet specialty shop opened about two years ago, and there is usually a line on weekends. I had been curious about this place every time I passed by. When I passed by at 1:30 pm, there was no line, probably because it was a weekday, so I entered. I quickly ordered from the ticket machine inside and smoothly took a seat. Each table had a cup and a water jug, and the staff brought me hot tea. In less than 10 minutes, the food arrived: shredded cabbage topped with two types of chicken cutlets, drizzled with tartar sauce. The tenderloin and breast cutlets were thin and light, so I could enjoy them without feeling heavy. The cabbage was dressed with dressing, but the tartar sauce served as a dressing substitute. After finishing the meal, I was pleasantly full. I don't come across many chicken cutlet specialty shops, but I was very satisfied with the delicious meal. Thank you for the meal!

The nearest station is Koenji Station. It's a chicken cutlet restaurant. The interior has only counter seats with narrow spacing. I visited during the peak lunch hours, so it was almost full and the personal space was tight and uncomfortable. I purchased the "Chicken Cutlet Three Variety Set (1280 yen)" located in the top left of the ticket machine. It includes three types: chicken tenderloin, thigh, and breast. The breading is a fine-grained type with a crispy texture. Although the meat is not thick, it is cut into pieces making it easy to eat. The tartar sauce has the perfect consistency and goes well with the crispy chicken cutlet, making it delicious. The cabbage was served in a large portion. It seems possible to reduce the amount of cabbage or have the tartar sauce served separately when ordering. The rice, pickles, and miso soup were carefully prepared and delicious. The staff's customer service was good, and they were diligent in sanitizing the seats, leaving a positive impression. Since the store is small, it is recommended to visit outside peak hours or use UBER or takeout.

I have been a fan since the restaurant opened 2 years ago and I go there occasionally. Recently, I've noticed that it has become very popular, especially during lunchtime on weekends when you have to wait in line to get in. I visited on a Friday at 12 pm and didn't have to wait, which is usually the case on weekdays. I ordered the chicken breast and thigh mix set for ¥950, which arrived in 7-8 minutes. The portion size was huge and very satisfying. The fried coating was nothing special, but the meat with tartar sauce was excellent. The large amount of cabbage was tasty with the dressing. The miso soup was not too strong, making it a good palate cleanser. They also serve pickles and pickled plums. Rice refills are available, but I couldn't manage it. I asked for extra cabbage and less meat to avoid feeling too full. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant, as it is a rare find in the "chicken cutlet" genre!

Hmm. If I had visited the night chicken restaurant without knowing about Mitaka Jidoriya or Curry Bu, I would have rated this place more highly. The chicken nanban at Jidoriya is out of this world with its crispy coating and delicious tartar sauce! It's so good that it almost feels like cheating compared to other places. Now, let's talk about Torikatsu Tarutaru Kan'iro. This place has a cute name and offers excellent customer service. The cabbage comes with plenty of lemon already squeezed on top, and the tartar sauce is generous too. The rice and miso soup are also top-notch. The clean and inviting interior of the restaurant is lovely. I highly recommend it to those in the area.

I visited the chicken cutlet specialty shop "Torikatsu Tartar Kin'iro" located in a back alley a 5-minute walk south of Koenji Station. The interior of the shop has only a counter, and first, I purchased a meal ticket. Today, I ordered the mix of chicken breast and thigh. The seating is a bit tight, but it's just right for one person. I arrived at around 7 pm, and the shop was always full, showing its popularity. In between, regular customers came in to order takeout at several places, creating a bustling atmosphere. After waiting for about 10 minutes, the chicken cutlet I wanted arrived. First, I was pleasantly surprised by the volume and beautiful presentation. The simple style of eating with tartar sauce is likely something most Japanese people enjoy, as I realized once again. The chicken cutlet had a crispy coating and juicy chicken meat, which paired well with the tartar sauce and tangy dressing on the cabbage. Eating the cabbage, then the tartar cutlet, followed by rice, pickles, and miso soup, I quickly finished the meal in a moment of bliss. This is truly a delicious restaurant that you must visit when in Koenji! Thank you for the meal!

I entered the restaurant around 13:30 and was able to get in without waiting. I bought a Chicken Cutlet Set for 960 yen from the food ticket machine on the right side after entering the restaurant. There was hot tea available next to the food ticket machine, and each table had cold water and cups. The cabbage was generously served, and the chicken cutlet with plenty of tartar sauce looked appetizing. The cutlet was thin, and the tartar sauce and sweet-sour sauce added a nice touch to the flavor. The miso soup had green onions and chopped seaweed as ingredients, with a delicate taste of clam broth. Rice refills were free.
