It was a restaurant where you could enjoy many rare Yamanashi dishes! There are many restaurants from Kyushu, Hokkaido, Okinawa, etc., but it was my first time experiencing Yamanashi cuisine, so it was fresh and fun. When it comes to Yamanashi, I had peach sour, grape sour, and red wine. The restaurant is located underground and has a very nice atmosphere. The variety of food and drinks was abundant, making it a very enjoyable dinner. When I asked why Yamanashi, I found out that the owner is from Yamanashi. The steak placed on a Fuji rock salt plate, komatsuna salad, hot broth poured over rolled omelette, and various other dishes were wonderful. I would love to visit this restaurant again! ☺️

I was invited to a social gathering after a training session at my workplace. I drink alcohol every day, but I don't often go to izakayas with a large group of people, so I was excited. I was surprised when a whole sunny lettuce with a huge bacon on top was brought out with scissors for us to cut. It was like a finger exercise! When I think of Yamanashi, I think of chicken motsu-ni, hoto, and Shingen mochi. There was no chicken motsu-ni, but there was something like Koshu chicken grill, similar to Miyazaki Jitokko-yaki. There were plenty of options for drinks with the all-you-can-drink plan, including highballs with matcha and more, but I stuck with beer and Koshu wine. Koshu wine (white) goes well with Japanese food. I was satisfied that there were proper beer and wine options for an all-you-can-drink plan. I always had the image that company drinking parties were held at run-down izakayas, so I think the person who chose this place has good taste. I don't know how much it cost, but thank you for the meal! The hoto had pumpkin in it, making it sweet and authentic. As for the toro takuan nori roll, I have no idea what that was about... no one really touched it. Probably because everyone was a heavy drinker, so the restaurant must have had a tough time!

I made a reservation and visited the restaurant. It was fully booked on a Friday, so they couldn't accommodate any walk-in customers without a reservation. The staff were all young and energetic, and the service was great. We were served horse sashimi as a complimentary appetizer, along with smoked soy sauce at our table. The meat platter included beef (Koshu beef), pork (Fuji Sakura pork), chicken (Shingen-dori), homemade sausage, and potato fries, all on one plate, and it was quite a generous portion. The taste was also excellent. We also ordered several other appetizers, all of which were elaborately prepared and delicious. As for wine, they had a wide selection of bottles, but if you ordered by the glass, there was only one type available, which was the same as the wine served in the all-you-can-drink plan.

This is a Yamanashi cuisine restaurant located near the intersection of Maiba-cho. The reservation was made because Yamanashi cuisine is rare. It is located underground and was almost full. The appetizer was horse meat sashimi, fresh and without any odor, served with smoked soy sauce. The champion of B-class gourmet, Kofu's simmered chicken, was shiny and soaked in sauce. The specialty meat platter included Shinshu-dori, sausages, Fuji Sakura pork, A5-ranked Koshu beef thigh steak, and potato fries, which was quite voluminous for two people. We planned to eat Hoto, but we were full, so we chose Hoto-style spaghetti. The salad with mitsuba and seaweed had a nice bitterness. After quenching our thirst with beer, we tried grape and peach-based drinks. We'll come back for lunch next time. Thank you for the meal.

I ordered the Momoyaki set meal with salt flavor and extra rice for 1,000 yen. I arrived at the restaurant at 11:35 and there was one other customer. The food arrived in about 5 minutes. The chicken seemed to be partially cooked beforehand. Using tongs, the chicken was placed on the rice and cut with scissors to create the salt-grilled chicken bowl. I added yuzu pepper on top of the cut chicken and rice, and took a bite. The combination of charcoal aroma, crispy chicken skin, yuzu pepper flavor, and soft yet chewy rice was delicious. However, I think it would be even better if the skin was grilled a bit more to make it crispy. The chicken broth soup had a subtle ginger fragrance and the saltiness was just right. The salad was okay, pretty much as expected. I paid at 12:00 and when I left, the restaurant was full. As I left, I couldn't help but think that maybe a sauce would have been better for the chicken bowl. Or wait, isn't a sauce supposed to be used for a grilled chicken bowl!? Despite these thoughts, I left the restaurant. Thank you for the meal.

I remembered that I hadn't been to the restaurant "Sumibacho no Sumi to Yamanaishi" in Maebara-cho, so I decided to go. I ordered the Koshu specialty Nitsuke Katsu Don for 1000 yen. You can get extra rice and natto for free. However, if you want natto, you should go for the set meal for 1100 yen. The portion was quite generous and the dish was very flavorful, although the meat was a bit smelly. My father is from Yamanashi, so I would like to come back again. I wonder what the image of Yamanashi is. Thank you for the meal~♪

I went to this restaurant for the first time for a farewell party for my junior colleagues. The drinks and food were delicious, making me want to go back again. They had wine, but the grape highball was especially tasty! All the courses were delicious too!

We visited this restaurant to celebrate the weekend after the lifting of the coronavirus prevention ordinance with friends for the first time in a while! We were looking forward to enjoying Koshu regional meat dishes. We started by toasting our reunion and praying that we don't revert to the previous prevention measures with a glass of beer! The appetizer was horse sashimi, which was amazing! We quickly moved on to ordering a bottle of red wine, thinking of Yamanashi's famous wine, but were slightly disappointed by the small amount in the glass wine despite the name of a bottle. We then enjoyed dishes like simmered Koshu chicken intestines and salt-grilled mackerel while drinking Yamanashi grape sour cocktails, and with the help of alcohol, our conversation flowed and we had a great time catching up! If we have the chance to visit again, we would like to fully enjoy the food next time, so maybe a course meal would be a good idea. I hope we can return to the days when such casual drinking parties were possible for a long time!

I visited for lunch. The place is located along Shin-ohashi Street. It is a fairly spacious restaurant with counter seats and table seats in the basement. It focuses on cuisine from Yamanashi Prefecture. They also serve coffee and offer a good value lunch. I would like to visit again.

I'll wait a bit, but it's near the station, and you get a drink for less than 1,000 yen! It might be a hidden gem. Highly recommended. It was just past 12 pm on a weekday, and the place was almost full. There were a decent number of seats, but only two staff members. They were both very busy but had a great attitude and provided energetic service throughout. Amazing! [Food Ordered] Grilled chicken thigh set meal for 1,000 yen. All items on the menu are either 900 yen or 1,000 yen. In addition to set meals, they offer free self-service coffee, tea, and even natto. You can also get a free extra portion of rice. This is a great deal! I had to wait about 20 minutes for my food because they only had one cook, but other than that, everything was perfect. Customers cut their own chicken to speed up service. Overall, the food was delicious. I also had coffee, which was surprisingly not sour, probably because they have a quick turnover. This place would be more than enough for an izakaya. Thank you for the meal! I will definitely come back.

I always take a moment to admire Mt. Fuji before getting on the elevator. As spring approaches, there are more days when it's hidden by haze. The location is along Shiodome Street, between Kayabacho and Hatchobori. Despite the cluttered signage, I ignore it and head inside. Yamanashi Prefecture may be a landlocked and understated place, but it's actually a treasure trove of gourmet delights! They have great rice and sake here. Now, it's lunchtime during work, so I can't drink alcohol, but let's fill our stomachs. After looking at the menu, I decide to go with the restaurant's recommendation, which is the recently added popular dish - Beef Sukiyaki Set for 1,000 yen (tax included). Other menu items range from about 900 to 1,000 yen. And to top it off, there's all-you-can-drink coffee and other drinks? Should I fill up on coffee? As a growing middle-aged man, I ask for extra rice and natto, haha. The drinks are self-service, and there's cold tea on the table. Before long, it arrives! Wow, it looks luxurious! The soup is made with chicken, not meatballs. It's surprisingly rich and delicious. As a veggie lover, I quickly finish the salad. The sukiyaki is served at the same time, which is unavoidable due to operational reasons. Now, after enjoying the natto with white rice, I dip the sukiyaki in the egg. Wow, it's delicious! Not too rich, not too sweet. But it seems like I'll finish the alcohol and rice too quickly. Let's call it an exquisite richness. I dig in with all my heart, of course with an extra serving of rice, haha. The happiest moments seem to pass in the blink of an eye, don't they? It's really short. Since the restaurant is closed at night, this must be the only time today I'm in casual clothes. What, casual clothes? What's that? It's pure bliss, after all. I have to write in proper Japanese, or else I'll be made fun of. With that said, thank you. Itadakimasu. I have visited the restaurant "Sumi to Yamanashi" several times. Whenever I come here, the food is delicious! The interior is spacious and clean, and the staff are incredibly energetic! This is my top recommendation recently. Today, I ordered a lot with my friends! We had a platter of grilled meat, "Niku no Yama." It includes all Yamanashi meats, including A5-ranked Koshu beef steak with amazing flavor and perfect doneness. A must-order! We also tried the "Torimotsu-ni," a Yamanashi local dish with a sweet and savory sauce, which is the second most popular dish in the restaurant. The "Naniwa Meatball" is a fun menu item, meatballs with a takoyaki twist, and it's delicious! They have a variety of creative daily specials, so it's always fresh and exciting to visit. The "Dashi Damaki" in a small pot with dashi inside is the best I've ever had. The "Unagi no Sunomono" is a unique fish dish, beautifully presented and tasty. We also tried the "Avocado Washoku Frit," a suggestion from the staff when our first choice was sold out. It was like deep-fried avocado with a choice of green onion ponzu or Yamanashi mulberry leaf salt. We also enjoyed the fried chicken and potato butter. They have over 30 types of Yamanashi wines available all the time. I'll definitely come back again! Thank you for the delicious meal!

I walked out of Exit 1 of Kayabacho Station on the Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line and headed towards Hatchobori Station along Shiodome Street. After crossing the signal, there is a shop at the corner of the second alley. Going down the stairs from the entrance leads to the spacious underground shop. This time, I enjoyed sake mainly featuring Koshu horse meat here. I started with a draft beer and horse sashimi as an appetizer. I also ordered "Harami sashimi," "Horse meat sashimi in a liver-like style," "Chicken nanban," and "Red wine stewed beef tendon" as additional dishes, all of which paired well with the sake. However, the "liver-like style" dish, where you eat the lean part with salt, sesame oil, and green onions, can become a bit monotonous if eaten continuously, so it is recommended to enjoy it as one of the various side dishes.

I found a good place for a casual drink. This place is located a few minutes from Hibiya Line Hatchobori Station. It is on the basement floor of a building. The starter of horse sashimi is served with smoked soy sauce, and the smoked aroma goes well with the horse sashimi. I couldn't take a photo, but the canned mackerel in garlic oil was also delicious. The edamame in garlic oil was of high quality and different from other chain stores. Good appetizers make conversations lively. It was delicious! Thank you for the meal!

I used it for lunch again. When you use it for lunch, you get a 100 yen discount coupon for lunch and various other coupons for evening use. Today, I chose the Fuji Sakura Pork Digital Kalbi Bowl for 1000 yen. There used to be cooking scissors when it was chicken, and here they also come with cooking scissors. It's a wild dish with the meat served large. I'm starting to get used to using the scissors a little bit (^^) Fuji Sakura Pork has a sweetness to it and seems like it doesn't even need sauce. I visited this restaurant with my colleagues for lunch. I didn't know anything about this place. Apparently, lunch comes with natto. There are several lunch options, but I chose the delicious-sounding "Pork Ginger Yakiniku Set for 900 yen". My colleague went with the "Shingen-dori Chicken Thigh Set for 1000 yen". As I looked around, I noticed that there was a special 1st-anniversary event offering Koshu beef kasu toro stew as a service for lunch. What luck! When the dishes arrived, the Koshu beef was tender and delicious in the small side dish. Although it was a small portion, I appreciated the gesture. The Pork Ginger Yakiniku was very easy to eat and tasty with the sauce. The chicken thigh set was quite thick and my colleague was very satisfied and full. The horse meat sashimi had a distinct flavor of Yamanashi! The name of the restaurant sounded delicious, so I was curious and went there on New Year's Day last year. It was cold outside, but the warm interior with the wood decor made it very cozy and comfortable. Going downstairs may be difficult for wheelchair users as there is no elevator. On that day, I had already eaten rice, so I ordered some appetizers, but the meat that others ordered looked delicious too. What I ate: - Yamanashi local sake (it was delicious) - Yam potato steak (goes well with wasabi and sake) - Grilled river fish of the day (rare chance to eat river fish, so I was happy) - Assorted smoked dishes (really smoky and great with sake) I wanted to try the famous Yamanashi dish "hoto," but I'll save it for next time. The customers were mostly in their 20s to 35s, creating a lively atmosphere in the bright restaurant. Eating at the counter, like a hearth, was a nice touch. I would love to drop by again when I want to feel the essence of Yamanashi.

Lunch on October 29, 2018 (Monday). Lunch in Machiya 3-chome. I have finished exploring the lunch on the west side of Shinohashi Street until the week before last (I have not covered all the stores, and there are a few stores that I have not visited, such as chain stores), so today I moved on to the east side of Shinohashi Street. However, there are only a few dining options in this area. A restaurant located in the basement of a building facing Shinohashi Street. As the name suggests, they mainly serve dishes using ingredients from Yamanashi Prefecture. The building is currently under renovation, but they are making an effort to show that they are open for business. I was the second customer a little after 11:30 AM. I sat at the counter and ordered the Koshu Shingen-dori Oyakodon (900 yen). I opted for the large portion, which was free of charge. Instead of water, you can freely drink cold mulberry tea on the table. In addition, coffee and black tea are also available for free self-service. The Oyakodon arrived shortly, and it came with a Chinese-style soup with chicken meatballs instead of miso soup. The Oyakodon was okay, but I found the taste to be a bit bland. One thing that could be improved is that the Chinese-style soup with chicken meatballs had too much oil and was too hot. The ginger aroma and flavor were good, though. Also, the container for the mulberry tea was difficult to hold and pour. They gave me a 100 yen discount coupon for my next visit at the time of payment.

Visited with my parents using a common coupon for Go To Travel. Since it was early, there was only one other group. The appetizer was horse sashimi, which was delicious. The sweet and spicy simmered chicken giblets and assorted meat were also tasty. There were many local drinks from Yamanashi, such as wine, sake, and shochu, which we enjoyed.
