This is a rare Okinawan restaurant in this area. The small interior has a cozy Okinawan atmosphere. You can enjoy Okinawan cuisine at a reasonable price. Okinawan music by people from Okinawa is playing, making me want to visit Okinawa. They have a variety of dishes including vegetables, fish, and meat.

I visited the long-established Oshiroya restaurant in Oshima, Koto-ku. It used to have a different name in the past, but now it operates as Oshiroya. It is a popular izakaya serving Okinawan cuisine among the locals. In addition to izakaya menus, they also offer set meals, and this time I had the Goya Champuru set meal. The Okinawan cuisine was consistently good, making me want to visit Okinawa again. They also have a wide variety of a la carte dishes, making it a perfect place for regular dining. Thank you for the delicious meal♪ I will definitely visit again.

・Freshly squeezed sour shikuwasa juice, equivalent to 3 shikuwasa fruits, satisfying my empty stomach. Enjoying the background music of "Sanpin High" by Rimi Natsukawa. Champloo set meal with small side dishes of mozuku, delicious main champloo dish with flavorful pork, and free extra rice. Changing the soup to half soba is a great choice, with thick noodles and rich broth. Ending with mozuku tempura on rice, pouring soba soup over it for a refreshing finish. Today, as usual, I experienced the intense rush at Akihabara Station, transferring between the Chuo and Yamanote lines, skillfully maneuvering through the crowded stairs to prevent any reckless overtaking. This accumulation of daily experiences will lead me to represent Japan at the RWC 2023® France tournament. Tomorrow, I will continue to prevent overtaking with my gritty play. In the Chuo Line train, I must secure a good position and adapt quickly to unreasonable behavior, the strong presence of certain individuals, and overpowering scents. I will enter the Chuo Line with determination. Enjoying a delicious Okinawan meal for dinner, I will praise myself for a job well done today, especially for discovering such a delightful restaurant on Maru Hachi Street. Thank you for the delicious meal at the arena seats. Definitely a place worth revisiting.

Okinawan restaurant near Ojima Station on the Toei Shinjuku Line. All dishes are delicious. Also, it is cheaper compared to Okinawan restaurants in the city center. The owner runs the restaurant alone, but the service is fast. I would like to visit this restaurant again.

I went for the first time and it was cheap and delicious! There are so many options that it's hard to decide, but everything I tried was delicious. I don't drink much alcohol, so I can't comment on that, but I saw many types of awamori on the menu. The seating is limited, so it might be a good idea to make a reservation depending on the day. There were many regular customers, and some people just came for a meal. The owner is kind and has a shy but good personality. Thank you for the meal. I will visit again!

I was looking for a place that is open until late at night, but I discovered that the restaurant I wanted to visit for lunch was open. I thought it would be nice to come and have a set meal. However, that didn't matter anymore because I was able to come, so I must enjoy it. I ordered dragon fruit sake because I like grapes. I also had somen champuru, rafty, fried cartilage, menchi katsu, and fried rice. Everything was delicious. I will come back next time for a set meal. I enjoyed it. I plan to come back at night as well.

I used it for lunch. It used to have a counter, but now it has table seating. Due to space constraints, customers go to the kitchen to get their food. The menu has a wide variety of options, making it convenient for lunch or even for a casual drink. They also have a good selection of awamori, so I want to come back at night. I ordered the Goya Champuru set meal, which comes with mozuku seaweed and soup. The flavors were strong and personally, I enjoyed it. The rice portion was generous, but it was easy to finish! (You can get a free upgrade to a large portion!) The soup tasted like Okinawan soba broth, with a strong bonito flavor that was delicious.

2014.10.07 (4th visit) I felt like eating Soki Soba, so I visited after a long time. This time, the ticket machine was gone, so I placed my order verbally. I had a draft Orion beer and two glasses of Awamori. The Goya Champuru was delicious. There were three staff members. The final Arthur Soba had a flavorful broth and was delicious. 2013.02.13 (3rd visit) When I visited after a long time, I noticed that the counter was gone and all seats were now tables. The Okinawa Soba for 700 yen seemed a bit pricey. Please make sure to clean the restroom properly. 2012.04.05 (first visit) I saw a sign for A at Oshima intersection, so I decided to check it out. Yesterday, I stopped by after taking my dogs for a nail trimming at Queens Spa nearby. I initially planned to have Soki Soba, but ended up ordering ginger pork and Okinawa Yakisoba since they had a drink menu. The ginger pork was reasonably priced at 380 yen. The homemade sauce for both yakisoba and ginger pork contained brown sugar, giving it a sweet and rich flavor. The Okinawa Yakisoba, priced at 450 yen, lacked a bit in ingredients. The taste was light and the flavor was quite mild, although the chopped seaweed was a nice touch. Spam added a unique touch, but I felt it needed a bit more creativity. In Okinawa, it is said to be ketchup-flavored, but this version was also good. Next time, I will try the Okinawa Soba. Thank you for the meal.

This is a Okinawan cuisine restaurant located at a large intersection just outside Ojima Station on the Toei Shinjuku Line. It's a small restaurant with a lunch menu available. They offer a variety of Okinawan dishes like Goya Champuru set meal, Umibudo bowl, and Okinawan soba, along with a selection of Awamori and Kokuto shochu in one-liter bottles that can be enjoyed by the glass. I tried the half fried rice and half Okinawan soba lunch set for 630 yen, and it was delicious. The soba had a mild flavor and tasted great with the Koregusu (island chili pepper-infused Awamori). The fried rice had plenty of char siu and was very tasty. The Gachimai set meal for lunch was also satisfying with a generous portion and free extra rice service. It seems like a great place to enjoy Okinawan cuisine with Awamori.

Oshima, izakaya lunch edition. This time it's a post about "Gachimai Shokudo". I was looking for something refreshing to eat, so I was searching for a soba shop, but I saw a sign saying "preparing"... I found an Okinawan restaurant (izakaya) near Oshima Station. I thought they might have Okinawan dishes like Soki soba, so I decided to visit. The interior of the restaurant has a clean and wooden atmosphere. The music playing and the awamori lined up around give a sense of an Okinawan restaurant, but it feels a bit stylish like an izakaya. There are only 4 tables, so it doesn't seem like they can accommodate 20 people. By the way, for lunch, water and tea are self-service. Looking at the table menu, there seems to be a 580 yen lunch. In line with my initial intention to eat something refreshing, I ordered the "Champlu soba (580 yen)". The Champlu soba arrived in about 10 minutes. Hmm, when I think of Okinawan soba, I imagined a clearer, more refreshing soup, but the appearance is closer to Champon. The ingredients are stir-fried Champlu. There are no bitter melon or tofu, just a regular Champlu. I took a bite right away. The noodles are flat and slightly soft. The soup is on the darker side, giving a soy sauce flavor typical of Okinawan soba. And the ingredients, they are too peppery, salty, and oily. When the ingredients soak into the soup, it becomes quite heavy and oily. Well, it was cheap so it's okay. The portion size is quite good and I got full, thank you for the meal. As an izakaya lunch, the price is cheap and the portion is good, so if you're looking for a satisfying meal, it might be worth it.

Got off at Oshima Station and went to an Okinawan izakaya. The small interior had several four-person tables in a vertical layout. It felt a bit awkward being a solo customer. If it's crowded, you might end up sharing a table. I intended to have a light meal while drinking, but ended up ordering my favorite pork and eggs. It was a thin omelette and pork caprese-style, quite beautiful. Had it with Yae Izumi water mixed with alcohol. Ordered just the pork dish as well. It could have been a bit more tender. Finished with soba noodles. I prefer it with less roughness. Unfortunately, red pickled ginger was included by default. It would have been nice to have pickled papaya instead of shichimi. Paid 2,000 yen and got change back. Reasonably priced Okinawan cuisine. You can also have a full meal. They have a variety of izakaya dishes. More like a "dining hall" rather than a soba specialty shop. You can enjoy it without any excessive presentation.

Hello, this is food critic Yamamoto Mazu from Okinawa. There is a new Okinawan-style diner on the Maru Hachi Street near Oshima Station. The name of the place is "Gachimai Shokudo," which seems to mean something like "super delicious" or something similar. I decided to check out their Okinawan cuisine and see if it lives up to the name. At the entrance of the restaurant, there is a ticket vending machine where you can purchase food tickets for dine-in or takeout. The menu includes classic Okinawan dishes like Soki soba and Goya champuru set meals. However, I believe that the daily special set meal is the true test of the restaurant's skill. I ordered the daily special lunch: Pork steak set meal with extra rice for 580 yen (extra rice is free). The food arrived in about 7 minutes, and I was eager to see how it tasted. The pork steak set meal came with thinly sliced pork, fried potatoes, and bean sprouts on an iron plate. The pork was surprisingly tender and easy to chew, despite its lean cut. The meat lacked a strong flavor, but the sauce complemented it well. It turns out that marinating the meat with papaya is the secret to its tenderness. The salad was made with shredded cabbage, carrots, and lettuce, while the extra rice was about one and a half standard servings. Overall, I would rate the pork steak set meal as 3.3 out of 5 stars. After finishing the set meal, I noticed a service ticket on the tray, which entitled me to a free extra serving of noodles. Since I was still hungry, I decided to use the ticket to order Okinawan yakisoba with extra noodles. The Okinawan yakisoba was made with about 1.5 servings of Okinawan soba noodles, bean sprouts, and spam. The dish had a greasy texture and a salty flavor, which I found a bit overwhelming. However, as I continued eating, the unique taste grew on me, and I managed to finish the dish. Overall, I would rate the Okinawan yakisoba as 2 out of 5 stars. Personally, I found the rice dishes like the set meal more enjoyable than the noodle dishes at this restaurant.

"Oshima" Gachimai Shokudo "Gachimai" in Okinawan dialect means "glutton". While there are many Okinawan-themed izakayas in Tokyo, this is a more authentic Okinawan food diner. There are not many places to eat in Oshima Station area at night, but this place is open until midnight, which is very convenient. The restaurant is small, so it may not be suitable for large groups, but they also offer a la carte dishes for drinking. They also provide self-service hot sanpin tea. ★Pork and Egg Set Meal 580 yen Luncheon meat and scrambled eggs cooked on a hot plate. Comes with mozuku vinegar and bonito dashi soup. Free extra rice for set meals. ★Okinawan Soba 700 yen Light soup made with bonito dashi. The tender Rafute pork is also delicious. The noodle portion is quite generous, making it a satisfying meal. ★Ginger Pork Set Meal 480 yen, Double Meat 200 yen The ginger pork uses a homemade sauce with black sugar. You can double the meat portion for an additional 200 yen. ★Pork Fried Rice Large Portion 580 yen Fried rice with plenty of Rafute pork scraps. The large portion is quite filling. Comes with bonito dashi soup. Personally, my favorite menu item.

I wonder if it's okay to eat at the Okinawan restaurant near Ojima Station on the Toei Shinjuku Line. There used to be a tsukemen restaurant there, but it seems to have changed. It looked interesting, so I decided to go in. I bought a ticket at the ticket machine at the storefront. The menu is quite extensive, so it was a bit confusing. After some consideration, I decided to go with the half taco rice and half soba set. It cost 600 yen, which made me a bit worried about the price. Inside the restaurant, there are around 10 counter seats and one 4-person table at the back. When I handed over the ticket and sat down, they served me a salad and mozuku seaweed. They didn't bring water, so it's self-service. They had tea available, but I just stuck with water. The food arrived in about 3 minutes. The Okinawan soba was actually quite delicious, light and tasty. It had kamaboko fish cake and green onions as toppings, a bit simple but still good. The half taco rice was a bit questionable... it was just rice topped with slightly spicy sauce-seasoned ground meat and lettuce. It seemed a bit lacking. I added some chili sauce from the table and ate it. Considering the price of 600 yen, is this worth it? The half taco rice aside, the Okinawan soba was actually quite tasty. With the ticket system and affordable prices, it's a good place to enjoy Okinawan cuisine casually.
