I visited the Eclair Bleu shop in Fudomae to try their cake, which I had been wanting to eat. The cake had a fluffy souffle-like texture with a hint of sweetness and a thin purple meringue around it. It was very sweet but delicious, and the contrast with the tartness of the berries in the cake was perfect. The balance of sweetness and acidity, the softness and the firmness of the cookie base were just right, and the aftertaste was not overly sweet. I went close to 3 pm, so there were almost no cakes left. Next time, I'll come a bit earlier. There was a sign saying, "We do not replace cakes if they break when you carry them on your bike!" But who would actually complain about that? Anyway, I carried the cake on my bike and it ended up a bit messy. I should have been more careful. The deliciousness made me want to try all the varieties. I hope they will open a café as well.

This is a cake shop specializing in takeout. The store is filled with a sweet aroma. The cakes I bought this time are Mille-feuille Praline for 750 yen and Caramel Chocolat Orange for 850 yen. The Mille-feuille has a strong hazelnut flavor and the crunchy mousse sandwiched between crispy pie crust was quite voluminous. The pie crust was especially delicious. The Caramel Chocolat Orange had a smooth chocolate mousse that was incredibly tasty. The orange flavor was a refreshing accent. Thank you very much.

On the way home, I used takeout. It was 5:30 PM on a weekday, with one customer ahead of me and three customers behind me. The cake shop looked stylish, with a colorful display of cakes in the showcase. I hesitated but ended up choosing three types of cakes: chocolate banana cake, shine muscat, and grapefruit cake. They had fancy names, but I can't remember them. I took them home! Chibisuke, Chibita, and Chibimi, everyone was very satisfied. Not too sweet, delicious! I'll definitely visit again. Thank you for the meal.

Personal favorite cake shop "☆Hall of Fame" with their rich New York cheesecake. I love this cake so much. Since I enjoy alcohol, I like to pair it with different drinks. Today, wine tastes great. It also goes well with black tea.
"Savarin Sangria Fig" is a glass dessert with a strong alcohol flavor. It's easy to eat and perfect for a relaxing day chatting with friends.
"Millefeuille Praline" is another favorite of mine. It's a voluminous cake that can be shared. The chocolate and praline flavors are strong and satisfying. Millefeuille is like the king of cakes, with its beautiful appearance and the joy of cutting into it with a knife and fork. These cakes are carefully crafted and I love them. I will definitely visit this place again.

First Parfait Anniversary Limited Edition seems to be available! I happened to still find it, so I bought it.
〈Mango Exilible〉Mango, pineapple, mango sauce, lime... these are easy to understand even for amateurs. The meringue is coconut! The mango is fresh and delicious, definitely a must-try! I want everyone to eat it. The jelly-like substance at the bottom that you can't tell from the appearance. It seems to be lime jelly. I think the overall great scent is thanks to this. The standout lime parfait is a masterpiece suitable for the scorching heat of today. Not the top, but the jelly is amazing and I can't help but admire it. How did they achieve this flavor?! I've eaten many sweet jellies, but I've only been able to eat desserts at the level of ordering an expensive course at a restaurant, haha. I was impressed by the season, the ingredients, and the professional techniques. I'm really grateful and excited even though I just casually tried it.
〈Extra-Rich New York Cheesecake〉My favorite classic cake! Oh, the feeling of luxury with wine. Thank you for your lovely appearance and the difference in texture. I can work hard tomorrow too.
〈Lemon Cake〉I think it's a seasonal baked good, but if it's available, I always buy it. It's just perfect. I paired it with chilled water to savor the taste. Ah, delicious.
〈Madeleine Vanilla〉This is also a favorite. When I saw it next to the register, I always think, "Ah, it's there!" I want to eat it! I don't hesitate to buy it when I'm in the mood for baked goods. How delicious is it really? No need for explanation, I want everyone to try it. Thank you for another delicious time today. Thank you for the meal.

On my second visit, I arrived after 1 pm on a weekday and didn't have to wait in line at the register. There were plenty of cake options available. Since I didn't drive there, I chose a cream puff that seemed sturdy enough to withstand the trip home. The custard inside was more orange than yellow, and it wasn't too sweet. It felt like they used a generous amount of egg yolks. I'd like to try reserving a whole cake next time.

To celebrate my wife's hard work, I reserved a peach shortcake and visited the bakery. I arrived 5 minutes early for my 11 o'clock reservation and there were about 5 people waiting. I was able to pick up my reserved item without waiting in line, but I decided to wait in line to try some other treats. What I had:
- Reserved: Peach Shortcake ¥4,030
- Marron Rum Raisin ¥890
- Caramel Chocolat Orange ¥750
- Namelaka Mango ¥830
The peach shortcake had a fluffy sponge and a refreshing cream with delicious stewed peaches. The marron rum raisin had the perfect blend of chestnut sweetness and rum flavor. I'm not sure what "lezan" means, but it was tasty. The caramel chocolat orange had a great mix of caramel sweetness and citrus peel freshness. The namelaka mango was simply delicious, but it's hard to explain why. Dessert reviews are tricky, especially for an amateur like me. Thank you for the delicious treats!

I went for takeout on the weekend right after opening, and there were about 20 people lined up. It took over 30 minutes until I finally bought something. However, it was worth the wait as the seasonal peach shortcake, grapefruit cake, black tea, and chocolate banana cake were all visually appealing and delicious.

When I arrived after 6:30 PM, most of the cakes were already sold out. I ended up trying this Earl Grey cake, which was the only one left. The Earl Grey cream had a nice aroma and was delicious. I would like to try other cakes next time!

Lemon Earl Grey Tart... The aroma of Earl Grey cream is amazing. Below that, there is a layer that is light like a Gâteau au Chocolat. The tangy lemon cream is refreshing, and the thin, carefully made tart crust is crispy. It is decorated with edible flowers, making it look elegant. Grapefruit and Orange Tart Sibust... The fluffy texture of the sibust was evident even when placing it on the plate, and my expectations were high. The caramelized surface is not crispy. The fluffy sibust and the pie-like tart part had a hint of saltiness instead of sweetness. The other components being less sweet allowed the deliciousness of the grapefruit and orange to be fully appreciated. When I saw it in the showcase at the shop, I couldn't grasp the size, but I felt like each portion here was larger.

When you feel like eating sweets, let's gather the "Sweets Lovers Club"! It's been a while, Eclair-san. The scent when you open the cake box is elegant (no smell of paper or metal). It feels like these cakes were carefully nurtured ❤️
〈Bistche〉
○ A must-buy cake with a rich appearance! You'll be intoxicated by the combination of fruits and cream mingling in your mouth with the flavor of alcohol. I want them to make a miniature version (petit four) of this, it will definitely be delicious and cute ❤️
〈Amekir〉
○ Enchanting! Prepare a beautiful cake knife and fork for the side view. It's difficult to share and eat, a tug of war.
〈Mille-feuille Praline Chocolat〉
○ I love mille-feuille! For me, who loves pie crust and Danish, this is irresistible. On days when you want to reward yourself with a tired body, this is a must-try.
〈Extra Rich New York Cheesecake〉
○ I love this cake. It's my go-to! If you want to pair it with wine, this is it. It's a fresh take on the concept of a cheesecake. Breaking the norms is important! Thank you for today! I can feel energized and ready to work hard starting tomorrow. A cake shop that makes you feel happy and can buy in bulk for yourself next time!

I tried the caramel chocolate cheesecake and mango shortcake at the store Kazuya, which I had bookmarked for a while. The desserts were delicious, with a good balance and an elegant taste. However, I think a bit more contrast would be nice. Overall, I found them delicious.

I came back again this month after visiting last month! My friend mentioned this place in our conversation, saying there was always a line, so I hesitated to visit. However, I went on a Saturday afternoon last month and this month, but there was no line. The food was consistently delicious. Last time they had freshly baked madeleines, but this time they had canelés. Among the various items I purchased, the Earl Grey cake with Earl Grey cream on top was amazing. The lemon card inside was a bit too sweet for me, but still delicious! Oh, I also recommend the pudding. It has a rich and creamy texture with good value for money. Thank you for the meal.

Fudomae Station / Western confectionery
The custard is not too sweet, with sugar powder on the outside and rich custard inside. It's been a while since I had such an impressive sweet treat! Highly recommended - this deliciousness is not to be underestimated! Junji Tokunaga is really doing a great job!

Chef Tokunaga's shop is famous for winning the Coupe du Monde award by Moe Takahashi. It is located just a few minutes from Fudomae Station in a cute store with many female staff. I purchased baked goods and cakes. The Shibust Millefeuille rich cheesecake costs around 700 yen per piece. I prefer simple sweets that highlight the ingredients rather than elaborate ones, so I really liked it. The madeleine with a shelf life of the same day, which seems to be freshly baked, was delicious!

The other day, I visited this patisserie on my day off. It's called "equilibre" and it's located about a 2-minute walk from Fudomae Station on the Tokyu Meguro Line. The pastry chef, Mr. TokuNaga, was the runner-up in the 2015 Coupe du Monde World Competition as part of the Japanese team. The name of the shop comes from the French word "equilibre," which means balance. Mr. TokuNaga started his career at The Ritz-Carlton and now runs his own shop.
When I arrived, there were people waiting outside, likely due to COVID-19 restrictions limiting the number of customers inside to 4 groups at a time. It took about 5 minutes to get inside, and by then, some of the popular petit gateaux were already sold out. I managed to get the ones I wanted to try, though. The shop had a showcase for petit gateaux on the left and baked goods on the right. Mr. TokuNaga is known for his honey and chocolate creations.
I ended up purchasing three items: San Marc for 690 yen, Mont Blanc for 830 yen, and Grapefruit and Orange Tart Sibusto for 830 yen. The San Marc had a caramelized vanilla chantilly cream on top of a bitter chocolate and sponge base. The Mont Blanc had a chestnut cream, chantilly, chestnut butter cream, and meringue on a sponge base. The Grapefruit and Orange Tart Sibusto had a bitter caramelized surface with citrus fruits, custard cream, meringue, and a pie crust base.
Among the three, I particularly enjoyed the Grapefruit and Orange Tart Sibusto. The shop had a calm grey and brown interior, with a variety of pastries and cakes available. The staff, mainly consisting of women, were friendly and efficient. Payment could be made by credit card, and there was a charge for bags. Overall, it's a bit pricey, but the pastries are delicious. I recommend giving it a try. Enjoy!

First visit. I had known about this place for a while but hadn't been able to go. The reason I decided to go this time was because the pastry chef Takahashi Moe is here. Japan won the 18th Coupe du Monde de la Patisserie in 2023, and Takahashi Moe was part of the winning team. I saw her on TV shows like Passion Continent and NHK, and I couldn't help but cry at the behind-the-scenes moments (lol). She exudes a quiet yet strong sense of conviction. On Saturday, I had ramen at Jiro Mita Honten before coming here. Access: A few minutes from Tokyu Meguro Line Fudomae Station. Arrived around 3 pm and no wait. Inside the store: As expected, about 2/3 of the items in the showcase were sold out (lol). Well, at this time, it can't be helped. I could see the kitchen at the back through a glass window, with 5-6 people working, but unfortunately, Takahashi Moe was not there (lol). I was torn between the Mango Shortcake and the Caramel Chocolat Orange (694 yen) and the Financier, but since this shop seems to specialize in chocolate, I chose the former. I also bought a Financier. Since it was getting hot and I wasn't confident about taking them home, I asked for a spoon (charged) and decided to enjoy the sweets alone at a nearby park under the blue sky. Impressions: It was delicious, with a typical orange mousse and chocolate harmony. Honestly, I didn't feel any difference compared to other shops. The base cookie dough was surprisingly delicious. Maybe I had set my expectations too high. It didn't leave the same impression as L'Heure Bleue in Akabanebashi.

The 870 yen cake was too expensive for me as a commoner. However, it was written that it contained pistachio cream, so I couldn't resist buying it. If it wasn't delicious, I think it would be a crime, but it was definitely delicious. Thank you for the meal!

I chose the berry mousse, citrus, mille-feuille, and caramel cakes from the selection of beautiful cakes. They were all handcrafted and delicate, with fluffy textures and crispy layers that were delicious. However, I found them to be a bit too sweet for my taste.
