This time we have a double feature of Momotaro and Wasser! It may sound strange, but Momotaro is made with tomatoes and Wasser is a fruit naturally crossed between peaches and nectarines. Yes, here at HiO ICECREAM, we source seasonal ingredients from farms and farmers to use in our ice cream. Depending on the ingredients, they are mixed with milk or made into sherbet, with 8 varieties available at all times. However, when we first opened, we were open on weekdays, but now it's mostly weekends, so I've had fewer chances to visit. 😢

The interior of the store is incredibly stylish and cool! I heard that all the refrigerators and cooking utensils are made in Italy! When you adjust the temperature, you can see the temperature change inside the fridge on a graph... Just that alone is super stylish! The ice cream is rich and creamy, with a taste that is completely new and amazing! This place is delicious! I really recommend coming here at least once!

There is a bench outside the store where you can sit and enjoy your gelato. There are 8 flavors available, mostly fruit-based gelatos, but the milk-based gelato I tried this time was incredibly delicious. The Jasmine tea flavor had finely ground tea leaves mixed in, giving it a fantastic taste and aroma. The flavors I tried were Blueberry Yogurt and Jasmine Tea.

Visited around 5:00 pm on Sunday. There was a line, but it wasn't too crowded as it was close to closing time. The interior of the shop was simple and stylish, making good use of the exterior gray color. The glass windows allowed a glimpse inside, making it inviting to enter. Surprisingly, the prices were not high, with a double scoop costing only 600 yen. Definitely better than a certain ice cream chain. The drinks were also stylish. - Jasmine Tea: Different from regular jasmine tea, with a refreshing taste and a nice texture. - Salted Caramel: A classic flavor with a mature taste. The fruit flavors also seemed refreshing and appealing. The colors were beautiful.

Absolutely delicious. I went in the summer and decided to go for a sorbet, choosing plum and pineapple vinegar yogurt. The taste was naturally sweet without being too overpowering, perfect for summer. The texture was smooth with small bits of fruit pulp that added a nice crunch. I definitely want to try it again!

I finally had the chance to visit this place, as I only go on weekends. They have about 6 flavors available at all times. They also have unique flavors like apricot. This time, I chose melon milk. You can enjoy it on the bench outside, making it a great place to take a break.

Jasmine was described as having a milk tea-like flavor, but it didn't really have any special or new taste. It was refreshing and delicious. The soy chocolate with tea leaves inside had a mild sweetness. I couldn't really taste the soy. The ice cream had a lid on it, which made it hard to choose. It would be better if the lid was see-through. There were chairs outside the shop, and when I was standing and eating, they added more chairs, which was nice.

I visited the restaurant around 3 pm on Sunday. There were already three groups waiting in line, but I was able to order quickly and enjoy my treat while sitting on the bench outside the shop. The kitchen was visible through glass windows, giving the place a sophisticated and stylish feel. The milk flavor I tried was not the usual kind, it was a bit richer and had a unique taste that I couldn't quite predict (I forgot the name, it was in French). It was the most delicious one I had. The cafe latte was also great, with a perfect balance of bitterness and sweetness. The peanut butter flavor was rich and had a distinct taste, making it enjoyable to savor the texture. The weather was around 22 degrees Celsius, making it a perfect temperature for enjoying the ice cream on a quiet street. I heard they change their flavors according to the season, so I definitely want to visit again!

Delicious. A truly talented actor!! I had red tea milk and chocolate, with a bonus of a bite-sized raisin. So delicious!! The ingredients are good, the sweetness is just right, much better than Häagen-Dazs! I want to come back again, but it's a bit hard to find. Embarrassing!! Why is it so empty when it's so delicious? Paris Baguette nearby always has a long line, no matter when you go. Just eat this ice cream while waiting in line! I really like it, but I would be embarrassed if they remembered my face. So I don't go often. But I got a point card, and if I go 5 times, I can get another ice cream for free, a high cost-performance point card. Embarrassing, but I might go again (laughs). By the way, they also gave me a warm hojicha tea! The service was also very good.

It's been a while since I visited BiO ICE at Jiyugaoka and got 3 scoops. Even though it's close by, they only open from 1 pm on weekends, so I don't go often (lol). The Floral Chocolate, Biei Single Origin, and Baked Apple Caramel were delicious.

The atelier is located a 5-minute walk from Jiyugaoka Station, in a quiet green path leading to a peaceful residential area. The reason for choosing Jiyugaoka is because when thinking about making delicious ice cream with a craft approach, I wanted to select a calm atmosphere town with good access from the city center, similar to the Mission District in San Francisco where craft culture is rooted. Most of the space that will make people stop in their tracks is the workshop, which is fully visible. This is because I value showing the face of the creator. Please enjoy watching all the processes of ice cream making by craftsmen that you usually can't see, while eating. The memories of ice cream eaten with friends and family when I was young... There are only 8 basic flavors, but they are all unique and the flavors change frequently, so you can always have a new experience every time you go. You can feel that they are particular about the ingredients and they really make the most of them in their gelato. It feels gentle on the body. Double scoop for ¥572. The blue cheese with honey/apricot is a must-try! The blue cheese flavor is strong with visible black mold, perfect for blue cheese lovers. The honey adds sweetness and complements the salty cheese flavor, creating a rich and satisfying taste. The apricot has a refreshing acidity that pairs well with the milky base. The combination of cheese and apricot is excellent. Single scoop for ¥464. The green plum is a sherbet, not gelato, very refreshing and light. The plum flavor is clear and invigorating, perfect for hot summer days. The gelato doesn't have a thick texture, more like ice cream, but both rich and light flavors are well-executed. It would be nice to have more benches outside. The staff is very friendly and thoughtful, offering wet tissues after finishing the gelato and even wishing you to take care in the heat as you leave. A heartwarming experience. Total for two scoops is ¥1036. It would be great if they accepted PayPay in the future.

I found this famous cake and bagel shop on Instagram, located a little further from the main street and not very noticeable. It's always busy with people coming and going, giving off a vibe of being a hidden gem. While there are many gelato shops in Jiyugaoka, I think this one might be the best! I love the industrial, concrete interior design. They offer two types of milk, and I chose the roasted green tea with red bean and roasted green tea with chamomile. The double scoop costs 572 yen, and although it's a bit pricey, the taste is really delicious! The roasted green tea with red bean has a strong green tea aroma and the red beans add a nice texture, while the roasted green tea with chamomile has a refreshing chamomile flavor within the roasted green tea. I would love to visit this shop again when I'm in Jiyugaoka. They have benches outside where you can sit and enjoy your gelato.

While strolling in Jiyugaoka, I stumbled upon this shop next to a factory. It seemed like they weren't working on the holiday, but it was nice to see that kind of setting from the outside. I was torn between all the ice cream flavors, but ended up choosing my usual vanilla and lemon sorbet. The sorbet was tangy and refreshing, and I enjoyed it a lot. I want to come back to try other flavors. I forgot to take a photo of the ice cream display case, which is a shame.
