Cream puffs, cakes, and crepes, little by little. I wonder if it's different from Kanda's Omiya. The cream puffs with today's expiration date are disappearing rapidly. I got cream puffs, peach cream puffs, and Mont Blanc cream puffs at half price. They were very delicious cream puffs! The Mont Blanc cream was rich and moist, with custard cream and light whipped cream. The chestnut was also moist. The light choux pastry was a satisfying size. My daughters enjoyed the peach and regular cream puffs as well. Thank you for the meal!

Ginza Omiya Confectionery, a 4-minute walk from Kayabacho Station, has been in business since 1965 and offers nostalgic pastries made without any additives. I stopped by to pick up some snacks. I bought the following items: White Peach Choux ¥650 and Fresh Cream Choux ¥270. It's peach season, and the White Peach Choux had a big peach inside with layers of cream and custard. It was juicy and delicious.

I always thought that Omiyage Yokan was only in Kanda (or rather Awajicho). But it turns out they also have a branch in Ginza. It seems like the business was passed down to the younger brother of the previous owner, so there is a connection but also some differences. I remember the Ginza location used to cater to club-goers and open at night. Their cream puffs are famous. I happened to be in Nihonbashi this time for another reason, so I stopped by to buy some. This location is a regular cake shop that only offers takeout. The cream puffs looked delicious, with a variety of flavors like salted caramel, tiramisu, and Mont Blanc. However, I wanted to buy souvenirs for my colleagues, still had more traveling to do, and thought the crepes would be less likely to get ruined, so I bought one with melon. I also bought one with regular cream and strawberries, and another with chocolate cream and strawberries. The melon one is for me! I didn't realize they also sold crepes like this, I always thought they only had cream puffs and tarts. The crepe had a thin and soft skin, with sponge cake and cream inside. The cream was light and not too sweet. The melon was ripe and delicious. It was shaped like a triangle for easy handling. Nowadays, many shops charge extra for forks, so I was relieved that this one came with one. These crepes are perfect for eating at the office. I enjoyed it more than I expected, so now I'm curious about the Kanda location and their cream puffs!

March 2021, what a simple and delicious treat. The choux pastry is just right, not too soft or too hard. The cream is a two-layered custard with a yellow egg-like color, and a pure white cream, both with a perfect level of sweetness. The choux pastry is lightly dusted with powdered sugar for a stylish touch. My journey in search of the perfect choux cream puff may have come to an end. It seems like there is nothing that can surpass this one.

I wasn't planning to go, but I was tempted by the amazing smell of cream and ended up going in. I bought a cream puff and a cherry blossom cream puff. The sweetness of the cream was exquisite and delicious. The custard and whipped cream were incredibly tasty. I felt a retro and nostalgic taste. The shop didn't have any decorations, and it felt solid and unchanged from the Meiji, Taisho, and Showa eras. I wonder if it has always been like this here. I love this kind of atmosphere.

The pastry chef served us with great care. The Mont Blanc dessert had a delicious cream made with Japanese chestnuts. The leaf pie base was sturdy enough to be eaten by hand without worrying about it collapsing. The Kabocha squash cream puff had a mild sweetness.

I visited in the early evening on a regular day. This place is like a sister store to the Omiya Western Confectionery Store in Ginza. They no longer sell individual cakes here, so I decided to try their affordable roll cake and mini choux creams (custard and caramel, 6 pieces). I brought the choux creams as a gift to a friend's house the next day, and they were very happy with them. The choux creams had a moist pastry filled with plenty of custard cream, satisfying both the heart and the stomach. The roll cake I enjoyed at home. It had a beautiful egg-colored sponge with a slightly firm cream and sweet-sour strawberries inside. It was a nostalgic and classic roll cake that was light and fluffy. It was a simple yet well-made treat that disappeared in no time.

I tried the tart before the peach season ended. The tart crust was delicious! Persimmons were also available. They were huge even when cut in half! The custard cream was also delicious, even though there was only a little bit.

I purchased a pack of 6 cream puffs for 780 yen before the consumption tax increase. I accidentally left them at work, where they sat at room temperature for a day. [Recent Update] I apologize for any inconvenience, but I wanted to share my current situation. At the time of this review, I was maintaining my weight. However, I have since lost 6kg (due to a 17-day hospital stay with a liquid diet). It's tough being in the hospital without being able to drink alcohol or eat solid food. I knew what to expect, but I wish I could at least have a cup of coffee or even just water. I can't do what I like, so what's the point! I have now achieved 20 days of sobriety, which feels strange. I miss the simple pleasures and can't wait to be back to normal. I can't wait to have a beer after being released!
