I wanted to have some sake at a night out in Ginza, so I wandered around and found a hidden gem on the second floor of a building on Sukiya Street. Normally, you need a reservation to get in, but luckily, we were able to sit at the counter without one around 7 PM on a Saturday. The place is called Kura and it was my first time there. The sake and food were both delicious at this Japanese sake bar. The corn tofu appetizer was something I had never tried before and it was amazingly soft and tasty, like corn soup in tofu form. The sashimi was fresh and everything we ate was delicious. The sake pairing was also well curated and we enjoyed tasting four different kinds. The atmosphere was great and we had a wonderful time enjoying good sake and food.

Visited the sake bar "Kuri" in Ginza after a long time. It's perfect for enjoying a quick drink of sake at the 2nd or 3rd stop with a tasting set of 4 types, 60ml each, for 1,700 yen. You can try various sake and even compare 4 types of dry sake. The simmered eggplant and sea urchin salted guts as snacks are also amazing. #Kuri #sakebar #Ginza #HibiyaLine #bar #sake #tasting #Kankiku #KokikuNoAijou #Shimeharitsuru #Asamayama #Wakabotan #JunmaiGinjo #JunmaiDaiginjo #GinzaBar #GinzaDate #GinzaGourmet #BarHopping #gourmet #ConnectWithGourmetLovers #TokyoGourmet #GourmetRecord #Tabelog #TimeDifferencePost #tokyo_gourmet_report #GurufacuOfficialAmbassador #Japan #tokyo #sake

I made a reservation for the weekend and visited the restaurant. It was my first time using the website called Hitosara to make a reservation. I went with a friend who enjoys drinking, and we were looking forward to having a good time. The restaurant had high ratings, so I thought the food would be great, but it turned out to be mostly small dishes, so it's better to come with a full stomach. I happened to have a snack beforehand, so it worked out well for me. I ordered a craft beer for my first drink, but I got so caught up in conversation that I forgot the brand. Then, we did a tasting of the owner's selection of Japanese sake. I preferred the rich taste, while my friend enjoyed the dry ones. I particularly loved the Asa no Sanpo Michi sake, which was sweet and refreshing. I also tried another dry sake, but I forgot the name. Next, I had the Kaze no Mori sake, which was fruity and light, a new favorite of mine! For food, we ordered sautéed white asparagus, simmered eggplant, wasabi greens, and grilled bamboo shoots. Everything was delicious, but the standout was the clam soup served as an appetizer. It felt like the master understood the feelings of a drinker. The owner runs the restaurant alone, from the counter to the tables, so take your time and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. I would definitely like to visit again. Visit rating: 3.59

I went with my boss to this restaurant! We chose to sit at the counter instead of a table. They have a wide selection of sake, which is great for sake lovers! We ordered a recommended set from the many options available. The appetizers were also very delicious!

Located quietly in Ginza 6-chome, there is a quaint sake bar called Nawa Sake Bar. It has counter seats and a few table seats, all managed by one master. I ordered the first-ever sake tasting course, which includes 4 types of sake with 60ml each for 1700 yen. I was able to enjoy various new sake, and I was very satisfied. As it was close to the Peach Festival, I tried the four types of sake with a peach color haze, starting with the melting snow of Oze. I couldn't resist ordering more and ended up trying all four types. I finished with a glass of 14th generation sake. Even though the master runs the place alone, the atmosphere is calm. The food is incredibly delicious, with each dish having a strong umami flavor, like the rapeseed blossoms and shirako. I heard that the master used to cook at a Michelin-starred restaurant before working at this place for 20 years. I definitely want to go back. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

Nawa Sake Bar in Ginza 6-chome. Although it's not accurate to call it a Japanese sake bar since they have a variety of sake from Japan, I always end up drinking Japanese sake there (lol). On this day, I had Senkin Risshun Shibori. I also tried some nigori sake unique to this season. It was delicious! Thank you for the meal ^_^

I used this place for a night expedition with my friend Mana. I thought it was a small Japanese restaurant, but it turned out to be a beautiful sake bar. We ordered dishes like oden, potato salad, butter-wrapped dried persimmons, and shirako, all of which were delicious, but the butter-wrapped dried persimmons were especially amazing. Everything paired well with the sake, and you could really feel the master's dedication to sake. Even if you just want a light drink, I think it's a great place for a date as well.

On the second floor of a building on Sukiya Street. Elegant but small dishes with a high price due to the location. If you must compare drinks in Ginza, then ■■Thank you for the feast■■.

I visited Kura as a top-level Japanese sake bar. You can enjoy various sake at a reasonable price, delicious food, and a great atmosphere. It was very popular before the pandemic, and it was often difficult to get a seat. This time, I went to Kura for my first drink of the night and also had some food. The appetizer included sashimi, and there was also shimesaba (mackerel) which was delicious. The appetizer at Kura is different every time, so it's always interesting. I ordered a sake tasting set (2 types x 2) and added one more sake for a total of 3 to compare. The additional sake was Juyondai. The sweet and rich Juyondai Junmai Daiginjo was delicious, thanks to the proper temperature control. *Juyondai Junmai Daiginjo may not taste good if not properly temperature controlled. For food, I had a platter of 10 items, potato salad, and cabbage rolls. The food was delicious on its own, and it paired well with the sake. Even though it's a Japanese sake bar, they serve better food than expected. This might be a hidden gem. The master here runs the place alone but maintains a high level of quality in everything. Thanks to that, it was a fantastic dinner for sake lovers. Thank you (^ ^) *Review score at the time: 3.58 *There are 3 other locations, each with a different atmosphere. The two locations in Shinbashi Building are standing bars where you can enjoy good sake at a low price. The Ningyocho location recently opened. *I made a reservation before going.

I visited the long-established Japanese sake bar "Kuri" in Ginza. They have a wonderful selection of sake, and you can enjoy your favorite sake in your preferred amount. This time, they had rare sake such as Juyondai and Tatenokawa. I tried a small size (500 yen) of Juyondai. It was delicious as always. It has a floral aroma, a hint of sweetness, and a refreshing taste. It is well-balanced. I also tried Chiemiman, which is a comparison of Love Pink and a new sake. This was also delicious. The owner's choice of glasses was great, with pink, white, and blue lined up. It's a beautiful and delicious world to look at and drink. The appetizer was New Year's soba, which surprisingly had duck in it. This is a great deal for 300 yen. The cover charge is 500 yen. Drinks start from the 300 yen range. It's affordable compared to other places in Ginza. This is a recommended restaurant for both sake lovers and beginners. *They are open during the first three days of the New Year as well.

In Ginza, there are many Japanese sake bars, and among them, this place is highly recommended. The dedication, value for money, and atmosphere are all excellent. When I visited a while ago, I thought it was perfect for a date due to its stylish ambiance. But as I learned more about the owner's dedication, I realized it's a truly authentic Japanese sake bar. The lineup of famous sakes is well-balanced, and you can enjoy high-quality sakes relatively easily. The serene atmosphere in Ginza allows you to leisurely enjoy fine sakes, which is a man's dream. Moreover, the Juyondai Honmaru, which costs around 40,000 yen for a one-liter bottle in the market, is priced at this place. I heard that the cost price is low. Just like with the famous Katsuyama, the premium price is due to its rarity. How surprising. In the past, there was the popular Koshino Kanbai and Yukinakabai, but there will be new rising stars surpassing them in the future. Here are some of the items on the menu: - Hitoroki Junmai Ginjo: 580 yen - Takachiyo New Sake: 410 yen - Juyondai Honmaru Honjozo Namazake: 380 yen Appetizers: - Red Clam Salted Fish: 300 yen - Flower Sichuan Pepper Pickles: 300 yen - Oden (Japanese hot pot) with beef tendon, hanpen (fish cake), and ginger tempura

The second stop on the Ginza sake tour was this bar specializing in Japanese sake. The atmosphere was sophisticated yet warm. As a COVID-19 precaution, the counter seats were separated by transparent panels, and the master wore a face shield. Since I was brought by a regular customer, I left the ordering to them. It was fun to compare and taste various types of sake. I tried 10 different kinds that day. Some of the sake had labels featuring the yokai "Amabie," believed to ward off epidemics. The selection of sake reflected the current trends. The conversation with the master was enjoyable, and time flew by quickly. Thank you for introducing me to another wonderful place. This would be a great place to bring seniors or bosses. It could impress juniors with how much you've explored different sake bars. The corn tofu served as an appetizer was subtly sweet and delicious. This is a must-visit place for sake lovers. Thank you for the meal.

Kururi-san is a Japanese sake bar that gathers only good sake. The manager runs the amazing shop alone. The drink menu includes individual options, but the recommended choice is the tasting set. You can try six different sakes, two at a time. By letting the shop choose, you can enjoy encountering sakes you haven't tried before. The food is top-notch as well, perfect for pairing with sake. The duck bacon and potato salad are exceptional. The potato salad is a popular dish and may sell out. It's so delicious that you might end up ordering two! The atmosphere inside is calm and bar-like, perfect for small groups. There are also solo female customers. It's a great spot for a date, and if you love sake, you'll definitely be satisfied. It's usually crowded, but due to the impact of COVID-19, there are fewer customers. It's a good time to visit now. *When I went recently on a Friday, there were no customers. Take advantage of this opportunity. *Review rating at the time was 3.58

I visited before 9pm on Friday. There were a few empty tables, so I sat there. Since there was only one master, it took a little time. It's nice when they tell you that from the beginning. It was my second stop, so I ended up ordering just a drink, one appetizer, and a small dish. The food menu had a variety of niche appetizers, so I'd like to come back when I have a little more room in my stomach next time. The appetizers were crab vinegar dressing, boiled spinach and shimeji mushrooms, and boiled tofu. I also ordered salted white shrimp. They were all delicious. I was in the mood for shochu, so I just kept ordering shochu. They have regular size and small glass size, which is great for comparing drinks. Even without considering the location, it's reasonably priced, which is very nice. This time I had shochu, but next time I want to compare different types of sake.

Visited again in July 2019 after a long time. Started with delicious Japanese sake to wet my throat before ordering. - Otoshi: The appetizers for the day were edamame, pickled ginger, and mackerel stick sushi. All of them go well with Japanese sake. Fantastic. - Karasumi: The karasumi here is always really delicious. - Sashimi platter: I think there were three kinds on this day? A lineup of white fish, red fish, and blue fish. Eating them with salt also goes really well with sake like Juyondai and Senkin. After drinking those, I leave it to the master. Typically, I don't think this place is suitable for the first stop because there are only appetizers, but the quality of the appetizers is high, making it one of the best places for sake drinkers. Definitely, next time again!
