The other day, I tried to go for an after-drinks with my friend, but it was full when I called before 12 o'clock. It's great that things are getting back to normal with people coming back after the pandemic. So today, I went with a friend to have a couple of drinks. Around 8 o'clock, there were only three customers at the counter. We enjoyed the atmosphere with drinks like a Mori Martini and Dark Rum Soda.

I was told that they wanted to go to a long-established bar, so I stopped by here. They recommended ordering a Martini if I was going to come here. We all took turns drinking and had a good laugh. There is also food available, the interior is spacious, and it's a relaxing space.

I visited the bar "Moribar" in Ginza for the first time since its relocation three years ago. Upon arrival, I made sure to order the "Morimartini" and some fresh chocolate, which are a must-try here. I also decided to explore some new American whiskeys, so I asked the bartender for a recommendation. He suggested the "American Dream Barrel 'The Independence,'" which won the highest gold award at the TWSC2021 competition. I also tried the Glenallachie whisky. Overall, a great experience at Moribar in Ginza! #Moribar #Ginza #bar #whisky #martini #Americanwhiskey #AmericanDream #Glenallachie #chocolate #GinzaBar #GinzaDate #GinzaGourmet #barhopping #gourmet #TokyoGourmet #foodblog #foodie #Japan #Tokyo #ginza

I visited the famous bar Mori-san in Ginza, which has a long history. Although there are several branches, I went to the main store. It was a Thursday night, and it was packed due to the post-COVID rush. It was a bit cramped, but I managed to have a drink. I tried their signature Dry Martini, served in a beautifully crafted liqueur glass reminiscent of Baccarat. It was exceptionally delicious. I had been disappointed by a Martini at another place recently, so the taste really stood out. I wish I could have stayed longer, but I had another appointment at a different venue. Ginza is a great place with classic bars where adults can relax and enjoy themselves.

I was looking for a place near Ginza where I could smoke cigarettes and relax, and I found Mori Bar. Despite being a same-day reservation, I was warmly welcomed. Mori Bar is a long-established bar located in Ginza 7-chome, offering a calm and cozy atmosphere where you can enjoy delicious drinks without feeling too formal or noisy. I had heard that the legendary bartender, Mr. Mori, makes amazing Martinis, but unfortunately, I'm not good with alcohol. After discussing my preferences with the bartender, I ordered a non-alcoholic Moscow Mule. Before my drink arrived, I was served a comforting consomme soup with a gentle flavor. It was enjoyable to watch the drink being made right in front of me. In about 10 minutes, I was served the Moscow Mule, which had a refreshing blend of ginger ale's sweetness and lime's zestiness, making it easy to drink and delicious. While I imagine it would have a richer taste with alcohol, it was still very tasty as a non-alcoholic version. I would love to visit again in the future.

There were no customers arriving at 5:00 PM, making it the perfect time to visit! I settled into a corner seat and ordered a martini. The interior was calming and the background music was just right. It was a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. Snacks were automatically served when my drink arrived. The martini had a hint of herbs that gently wafted from my throat to my nose, creating a delightful experience. I could taste a subtle sweetness, bitterness, and acidity, all balanced perfectly. It was refreshing without being overpowering. In theory, it was the best!

It had been a while since I visited Ginza at night. Around 10:30 pm on a weekday, I relied on Tabelog for my first visit. The counter was full of regulars and foreign customers, so I was seated at a sofa in the back. I later moved to the counter when some seats opened up. I ended up staying longer than I had planned. I ordered my usual, a Polar Short Cut, while my friend ordered a Stinger as recommended. Both were delicious and well-made. For my second drink, the bartender suggested a Havana Martini, which I tried for the first time and loved. It's an original cocktail by the owner and head bartender, Mr. Mori. I finished with a delicious rum on the rocks and had a chat with the unique bartender. I couldn't resist ordering curry even though I was full. But it was delicious, and I finished it all. A bar serving curry and pizza is always a good choice. I had a great adult time.

I visited Mori Bar in Ginza, a renowned bar with a great atmosphere run by bartender Mouri. I arrived on a Saturday night at 9 pm and managed to find a seat at the counter. The bar had a classy and elegant vibe, reminiscent of a traditional bar. There was a large painting of Klimt's "The Kiss" in front of the counter, which I learned was a replica of the original kept elsewhere. I ordered a Manhattan and an Alexander, and enjoyed the lively yet relaxing atmosphere of the bar. It was a great experience chatting with other patrons in this famous Ginza bar. I left feeling content and satisfied. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

Recently, I have started to prefer softer alcoholic drinks. Mori-san is famous for his martinis, but he also has many original cocktails that are gentle and enjoyable to try. "Forget-Me-Not" is a cocktail made with a subtly colored violet liqueur, which is refreshing and sweet. If you make it with gin as the base, it becomes a cocktail called "Hydrangea." "Enshi Rumi" (Forest's Light Snow) has a mint flavor similar to a chocolate mint grasshopper. After drinking this, it felt like I was walking out of the bar into a dream where light snow was falling. "Shinru-fa" (Apricot Dew Flower) was gentle and delicious, perfect for those who are not strong drinkers. The color was also beautiful. Although it's not an original Mori-san creation, the milk-infused "Kaikan Fizz" is great to enjoy with a meal. I visited around 5 p.m. this time, and I noticed that there were more foreign customers, with about half of the seats filled. Despite the busyness, I felt reassured by the familiar staff, the consomme soup, and the snacks. I realized that I have been coming here for about 10 years now. I will continue to visit and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere.

Bar hopping, started in Ginza
The famous Mouri Bar, a bar that many people admire
I tried to keep it low-key with a Gimlet, not much conversation flowing
I was hoping for some magic stirring with a Martini, but oh well, it was delicious
Ginza is tough, isn't it?

I ate sushi and then went to the bar across the street. It has a nice atmosphere. I tried the Havana Martini, which is recommended here, and paired it with dark chocolate. At first, I was worried if I could finish it because it was a generous serving, but it was delicious, easy to drink, and went well with the dark chocolate, so I ended up finishing it. Feeling confident, I also ordered a Manhattan. I thought it had a lot of whiskey, but when I tried it, it was just right. I could feel the skill of the professionals. Thank you.

Martini and Rusty Nail at Matsui Bar in Tokyo 2020, 2022 Yoichi Single Cask (whiskey was half) for 12,300 yen. The first drink was a Martini because Matsui Bar is known for their delicious Martinis. The bartender mentioned that making a good Martini is difficult, but it was indeed tasty. The second drink was a Rusty Nail, which was a bit disappointing as I ordered it on the rocks. Nevertheless, it had a delicious taste and a lingering aftertaste. I started with the whiskey straight and later switched to soda water. I remember that the 2022 whiskey was strong and you could really taste the alcohol content. Even in a Highball, you could feel the whiskey. I honestly forgot the taste of the 2020 and Yoichi whiskeys. Yoichi didn't have much smokiness, if I recall correctly. By the way, does the taste of consomme soup change? It seemed more sour than usual. When I first entered the bar, it was early and they were busy preparing, so I felt a bit neglected. But later on, they engaged in various conversations with me, from Matsui's preferences to discussions about Boodles and the beauty of the seasons. The bartender mentioned being from China and how Dalian is a nice place. The prices are still a bit high, as I thought during my last visit. I heard from someone at Rum & Whiskey that Matsui Bar serves a lot of alcohol, and I can now believe it. I heard they use 150ml of gin in a Martini, which seems excessive. Even if 150ml is exaggerated, it's probably over 100ml. I don't pay much attention to the amount of alcohol, and it's hard to tell from the top-down photos, but it felt like a lot. I was conscious of taking only three sips of the short drink, but it took five sips. They told me I didn't need to worry about it (laughs). I checked a recipe online and it said 45ml, which is more than three times the amount. I'll be more careful not to get drunk. Maybe this was the reason I got drunk at the next bar. Thank you for the meal.

I went to the second restaurant for Christmas dinner around 9 pm on Friday, so it was almost full, but we were seated without waiting. We ordered a glass of Lagavulin and Muscat cocktail each, and also ordered some chocolate. The chocolate was delicious. The ambiance could be a little darker, but it seems like a good place for a date or adult second round.

This is a cozy bar with a traditional atmosphere. I love alcohol, so I decided to order a Cosmopolitan cocktail, which I don't usually drink. I also tried their recommended Martini made with Scottish gin from Boodles. It was a bit different from the usual London dry gin, but I enjoy unique flavors, so I found it delicious. I had an Ardbeg soda as a chaser, and the richness of the Ardbeg whiskey was just perfect.

I have visited Gran a few times, but this is my first time here. I took a sip of the consommé soup served as an appetizer, and when Mr. Mouri arrived, I immediately ordered a Martini without hesitation. The inbound guest sitting next to me also ordered a Mouri Martini while reading a travel magazine. Despite being known for its strong alcohol content, the Martini had a smooth and surprisingly delicious taste. By the way, I heard that these glasses are specially ordered for Mouri Martinis.

I stopped by Mori Bar in Ginza feeling a bit thirsty. I requested something that would make me feel like the rain had cleared up, and Mori-san made me a Morning Fizz - an adult milkshake for my second drink. I enjoyed the social atmosphere, even had a smoke which I haven't done in a while, and had a pleasant conversation with the person next to me. Now I'm going to head home after having a third glass of Scotch to watch the Croatia match.

This kind of adult bar is the first time I've been since I got married, so it's my first time going out without my wife and kids. I didn't want to miss this chance, so I made the decision to go (laughs). Classic background music playing at the counter with a bartender. Rows of bottles lined up on the shelf. This atmosphere!! The bartender recommended a whiskey for me (I forgot the brand, please look at the photo), on the rocks, with kappa ebisen and dried persimmons as snacks. And a beautifully arranged appetizer on a plate. Tuna carpaccio, marinated mushrooms with chicken, and macaroni seasoned like gratin. So grateful!! The most surprising thing was the consomme soup served first. It healed my stomach and heart. I really want to go to a bar regularly after this!!

Located about a 5-6 minute walk from Ginza and Shinbashi, this bar is owned by the world-famous bartender Mori-san. It is situated on the 7th floor of a building. The interior of the bar is quite spacious with a long counter and several table seats. Smoking is allowed, so be aware that there may be smokers around. I was seated at the counter and ordered a fresh fruit cocktail with Kyoho grapes. The complimentary snacks included pumpkin soup, Kappa Ebisen, persimmon seeds, and kelp. The Kyoho grape cocktail had a nice balance of alcohol and fruitiness, and I enjoyed it. They also brought out a selection of appetizers, which were all delicious. Although I only ordered one drink, the total came to 4400 yen, which I found reasonable. I would like to come back for a meal as a second stop if I have the chance.

Due to certain circumstances, I had been refraining from drinking alcohol for a while. But now that I have been given the green light, I feel like I'm walking on air as I stroll through Ginza. I decided to celebrate this joyful night by trying out some standard cocktails at MORI BAR. I ordered the Morning Fizz, Apple Car, and Havana Martini. These were made by two bartenders, one young and one more experienced, and both cocktails were excellent. When you visit a bar where multiple bartenders work, it's all about luck when it comes to who makes your drink, but it can greatly affect your overall satisfaction. Even though I know that in a top-notch bar, the difference between cocktails made by different bartenders is minimal, I still can't help but be curious. That's why I had both bartenders make me a drink, and even though the cocktails were different, they both had a similar balanced taste, showing the high level this bar aims for. Mixing liquids together may seem simple, but it's actually quite challenging! Especially the Morning Fizz, it's really tricky! I've had some bad experiences with this cocktail at other bars, but I took a chance here and it paid off. I had a great time and left feeling satisfied!

Let's go to a bar in Ginza... If you say that, Mori Bar is the place to go. It was my first visit, and the atmosphere was quite different from what I had imagined, very welcoming. The interior was calm, elegant, and sophisticated, yet at the same time, anyone could feel comfortable and relax. We had some drinks and light snacks, and each dish was carefully crafted. The staff was very accommodating, adjusting the drinks to suit each person's taste. The service, the atmosphere, everything was very calming, and I had a wonderful time, enjoying the best night.
