177th! The SG Club - A Bar Worth Visiting [Ordered Items] - SAMURAI'S PLEASURE 2,750 yen - BATHTUB YUZU DROP 2,640 yen Service charge 10% Total 5,929 yen (incl. tax) The bartenders unanimously recommend The SG Club, a famous bar with a refined atmosphere. I finally visited this place that caught my interest! The reason for their recommendation becomes clear once you visit. This time, I visited the underground bar called SIP. The interior and atmosphere of the place exuded a sophisticated Japanese vibe, making it incredibly moody! The cocktails we tried were delicious, showcasing a level of quality that sets it apart from other bars. If you're unsure what to order for your drink, I recommend trying the BATHTUB YUZU DROP. It's a sweet and refreshing fruit cocktail. The other cocktail menu items have interesting and creative names as well! Another fun aspect was the BGM in the restroom. Be sure to listen to it when you visit! A high-quality cocktail bar with a playful touch! I highly recommend stepping foot into this space at least once. "The SG Club" is located about a 9-minute walk from Shibuya Station. It is the shop of Shingo Shimazaki, who won the world cocktail championship. The interior is divided into three floors, each with a different atmosphere. The first floor, "Guzzle," has a casual vibe. The basement floor, "Sip," is a unique space inspired by Japanese culture where you can enjoy drinks slowly. The second floor, "Savor," is a VIP lounge where members can enjoy cigar and cocktail pairings. The cocktail "Speak Low," which won the Bacardi Legacy Cocktail Competition in 2012, starts with making matcha. It has a refreshing taste, perfect for adult drinkers. Follow them on Instagram @minatoku-torisetsu and TikTok @minatoku-torisetsu for more information.

I have been curious about this place for a while because my foreign friends have been raving about it. I now understand why - their drink selection is truly unique. They take their alcohol seriously and every drink is delicious and beautifully presented. I may not have the courage to try some of the more unusual drinks with dashi, but I look forward to trying something different next time. It can get quite crowded, so I wish it was a bit more accessible for regular visits.

A bar in Shibuya. We used it as our second stop. There were many foreign customers, so it seems to be a well-known place. It was full, but we only had to wait about 5 minutes to get in. The bar had a dim and stylish atmosphere. There were various cocktails available, and my friend and I shared about 6 different cocktails in total. Some of the cocktails had funny names, but they were surprisingly delicious. It was a series of pleasant surprises to see how mixing this and that could create such flavors. It was a very refreshing experience. I would love to visit again. Thank you for the meal.

Anyway, the menu naming at this bar is shocking. "Wagyu Charlie Brown," "Japanese-style Piña Colada," "Dirty Mango," and more. I highly recommend experiencing this unique restaurant. There are many people from overseas, and various languages are spoken. This time, our neighbor was a tourist from France.

After enjoying authentic Chinese cuisine in Ueno, we chose to visit SG Club in Shibuya for a drink. Located about a 10-minute walk from Shibuya Station, it's tucked away in a small alley near Line Cube. The owner is Japanese, but the bar is actually a branch of Speak Low in Shanghai, consistently ranked among the top bars in the world/Asia since its opening. The bar is small but spread over three floors, with a smoking area outside. Arriving around 10 pm that night, indoor seating was temporarily unavailable so we sat at the outdoor smoking area. Most of the customers are foreigners, so the staff speak fluent foreign languages, and there are also several Chinese-speaking staff members, so communication is not an issue. We each ordered two cocktails: No.1 Cup, Pina Colada, Cold Brew Martini, and Golden Gai. Compared to Speak Low in Shanghai, there are more Japanese elements incorporated here. The cocktails are of high quality, with the Pina Colada surpassing many Western cocktails. Prices range from around 1,500 to 2,000 yen, similar to the Shanghai main branch, making it relatively affordable. If you find yourself in Shibuya at night, enjoying two drinks here is a great choice.

Reservation: Not required Wait time: None Number of visitors: 2 people Duration of stay: 2 hours Price: 5000 yen per person One of Japan's most popular bars among international visitors. They have a variety of original cocktails that you can only enjoy here, all of them delicious and fun to choose from as you can't imagine what they taste like just by looking at the menu. Highly recommend the Number One Cup Super Lychee Martini and the Imo Shakai cocktail.

Ranked 18th in the world! The bar has different drink menus on the basement floor, first floor, and second floor. It blows away the concept of cocktails you knew before. And it's incredibly crowded. Is this really Japan? You can hear a lot of English, and it seems like more than half of the people are foreigners. The price of a drink may seem quite high for the average Japanese person, but it seems appropriate for foreigners. The names of the drinks are poetic and don't make any sense at all. Haha. So, you order something based on the ingredients listed, but you can't predict the taste at all. However, all the original cocktails exceed your expectations. It creates a completely original space with a sense of no nationality, blending essences from Japan, Asia, somewhere in Europe, and more. It's been a long time since I was so surprised at a restaurant. Ah, this is the future of Japan. I felt that it was running ahead of the times. Just when I thought cocktail culture was declining, it turns out it's exploding in places I didn't know. Amazing. Thank you for the meal!

I finally made it to SG Club, a bar in Shibuya. It's about a 15-minute walk from Shibuya Station. There are 2F, 1F, and B1F, and I was guided to B1F. I never expected to get in without a reservation, but it's worth a try. The cocktail names were all interesting and got me excited.

The SG Club is a 10-minute walk from Shibuya Station. I went there with my company colleague, M, who recommended it. It was Saturday night at 9 pm and the place was packed. We waited for 15 minutes before getting a table in the basement. The interior of the bar was luxurious and there was a mix of different layouts on each floor. We were the only Japanese customers, surrounded by foreigners. The atmosphere was like being in a different world, with stylish decor and English conversations mixed with trendy Western music playing in the background.

When I went to Tokyo, I wanted to visit a certain restaurant, but it was full when I first tried to go in. The staff recommended a sister restaurant next door, which had an available table, so I decided to dine there. The restaurant had three floors, each offering different cocktails. I chose to sit on the first floor, where they served original cocktails that were all so tempting to try. I was having so much fun choosing my drinks that I forgot to take photos. The second floor was a members-only cigar bar, and although the staff invited me to sit in the available seats on the lower floor as I was leaving, I decided to save that experience for next time. I will definitely visit the lower floor on my next visit. This bar was so cool that I wish there was one like it in my own neighborhood.

The SG Club is located about a 10-minute walk from Shibuya Station. I visited as a second bar on a weekday night. I have been here multiple times. The atmosphere of the bar is great and it is definitely a top-notch bar. It seems to be popular among foreigners. I tried the "Drunken Grandma's Apple Pie" cocktail, which had a brandy base with a hint of apple. It had a fruity aroma and was easy to drink. Overall, it's a bar that I would recommend taking someone to.

About a 10-minute walk from Shibuya Station, located near the intersection close to NHK along Park Street, is a bar that is famous worldwide and may even be more popular internationally than in Japan. I visited on a Friday night around 11:30 pm. The bar was almost full, but they were able to seat us downstairs. Both the first floor and basement were bustling with people. We were guided to a mysterious two-person space downstairs, which seemed to be used for shoe shining. There were footrests available, and it could also be used as a waiting room. It was a unique space that made me go "wow" at first, but we were quickly moved to a regular table that was quite narrow. The distance between tables was close, almost as if we were all part of the same group. There were many foreigners present. The menu mainly consisted of unique original cocktails, nothing else really. I was intrigued by all the options, but I ended up ordering the Japanese-style Piña Colada and the Flower Yuzu Drop. Both were surprisingly easy to drink and delicious! The Japanese-style Piña Colada had a great combination of doburoku and pineapple, creating a taste that I really enjoyed. It was like a pineapple yogurt. Despite the small, dark, and crowded space, the cocktails were definitely interesting, and I would like to visit again.

Angel's Share in New York, led by the world champion bartender Shingo Gokan, is a hidden gem of a bar. I visited on a Saturday at 6:30 pm and it was almost full. The downstairs was fully booked, so we were seated on the first floor. The atmosphere of the bar had a vintage feel, reminiscent of the old Angel's Share in New York (which has since relocated), with dim lighting creating a cozy ambiance. The majority of the customers were foreigners, and the staff spoke English fluently. The selection of drinks and food was just right, making it easy to choose. The cocktails were all unique and catered to those seeking originality or adventure. Whether you're in a group, with friends, or on a date, everyone is sure to enjoy their experience at this bar.

The atmosphere was fantastic!! Even though it was a weekday, the place was crowded with people! The staff were very friendly and fluent in English, they even explained things in English! I can't remember the name, but when I ordered a pineapple cocktail, they served it with a lovely presentation, it was so much fun!! The bar had a wide variety of drinks, I found a great bar!

The SG club, which has been selected multiple times as one of The World’s 50 Best Bars, can truly be considered one of Japan's top bars. It is particularly popular among foreign tourists from Europe, the United States, and Asia, where bar culture is well-established. Many visitors to Tokyo make it a point to visit this establishment. As a result, the majority of customers are foreign group tourists. Even on weekdays, the bar is almost always full and bustling, giving off a vibe similar to being overseas. During peak hours, the crowd spills out onto the street, but turnover is quick, so if you don't mind which floor you're on, you can get in quickly. On this day, we went downstairs to a slightly hidden spot that had a cozy feel and offered special cocktails. The menu featured cocktails with strange names that we had never seen or heard of before. While the ingredients were listed, it was hard to imagine the taste. Everything seemed interesting and intriguing, so we felt compelled to try a variety of them.

There is a world ranking for restaurants called WORLD Restaurant. Recently, a BAR category has been added, and now WORLD BAR rankings are also being announced. An event from the 39th ranked "SOBER" in Shanghai was held for one night at the 18th ranked SG CLUB in Shibuya. I went to check it out. The coasters were branded with "SOBER," which was a nice touch. Currently, SOBER is under construction in Shanghai and is set to be one of the largest bars in the world. It will be a two-floor establishment in a building with a capacity of over 200 people, divided into four different concept types: SOBER CAFE, SOBER KITCHEN, SOBER SOCIETY, and TIPSY (which you can enter after visiting the other three). It is scheduled to open at the end of the year or the beginning of the next year and is expected to become a popular spot in Shanghai. On the day of the event, special cocktails from each of the upcoming establishments in Shanghai were available in Shibuya. I tried three cocktails: TTHREE COFFEES (SOBER CAFE), CRISPED (SOBER KITCHEN), and Lemon Cheesecake Sour (SOBER SOCIETY). I also enjoyed some Okonomiyaki Nachos and Herb Pizza. Overall, it was a fun night, and I want to thank Xiao Shingo for the great experience!

This place is located near Shibuya NHK, just off the side street near Kitaya Park. The cocktail menu is very interesting, with whimsical names. On this day, I tried the Say Yamas! (Say Yamas!) - a cocktail with cucumber infusion, and the Diarty Mango (Dirty Mango) - a mix of dirty martini and mango. Both were delicious and unique. The interior of the place features ukiyo-e paintings and I heard that rakugo plays in the restrooms (although I didn't get to hear it myself). There is also a shoe shine room. They used to have Speak Easy-style promotions, and now I hear you can access the exclusive members-only second floor. It was late when I visited, so I didn't get to check out the second floor, but I'd like to go back and explore it next time.

THE SG CLUB had been recommended to me by many friends, and I finally visited for the first time. The restaurant is located near NHK Hall, a bit far from the station. The first floor was almost full, but I managed to find a seat and looked at the menu. The cocktail titles were surprising at first glance, not knowing what to expect. I ordered the Takoyaki Bloody Mary, and to my surprise, it really tasted like takoyaki! It even had bonito flakes on top, and it was really delicious. Next, I tried the Apple Pie cocktail (I apologize for not remembering the exact title), which was like a dessert in a drink and also delicious. The staff were all cool and somehow had a masculine charm, yet were friendly. It's a cool bar with a great atmosphere, fun to talk with. Definitely recommended for a casual drink or as a second stop on a date. I now understand why everyone recommended this place.

It's not just an authentic BAR, but a fun BAR with a little twist or playfulness. It's interesting that despite being authentic, their signature cocktail is a Piña Colada. And the way it's served goes beyond expectations. The design and atmosphere inside the bar are also fantastic. I will definitely go back.
