Good morning~♪(^.^)/ 2020.04.24
Today is my second day back to work since McDonald's switched to takeout only. Last time, I had a tamagokake breakfast at "Sukiya". Today, I was thinking about what to eat and remembered that "Matsuya" also has breakfast options. So, I Googled it on the train. Since it's breakfast, I wanted to keep it under 200 yen. And I found it. Just under 200 yen at 290 yen, "Choose a small side dish with tamago kake gohan". The small side dishes are... natto, tororo, hiyayakko, gyudon. Alright, let's go with gyudon. Oh, it's quite crowded here. "Sukiya" was empty, but "Matsuya" seems to be more popular for breakfast. I bought the meal ticket and sat at a free counter seat. When my number was called, I went to pick up my order. Oh, the visual presentation is a bit plain. First, I prepared the egg. Unlike "Sukiya", the soy sauce is regular soy sauce. Once it was ready, I tried it. Isn't the rice a bit less? It might be less than "Sukiya's" mini. Let's start with the gyudon. I took a bite, chewed... Oh, it has a pretty strong flavor. This is making me want to eat more rice. Before it's all gone, I poured the egg generously. I mixed it in and ate it. Hmm, the soy sauce is missing... Oh, it's all gone in no time. It's not enough at all. For 290 yen, the cost performance is not great. While thinking that, I finished with miso soup. The miso soup had fried tofu and wakame, just like "Sukiya", but "Matsuya" had a larger portion. After finishing my meal, I relaxed and noticed the guy next to me eating the sausage and egg set. He left the sausage untouched and finished the rice. Are you only eating the sausage? I secretly watched him (laughs), and he left with his bowl. When he came back, his bowl was filled with a mountain of rice. Wow! You can get a rice refill here!! If that's the case, I could have had 2 bowls with gyudon and egg!! I see, that's why "Matsuya" was busier. I thought I wouldn't come back, but I might want to visit again. Next time, I might try the "Standard Morning Set" for 360 yen (tamago, nori, oshinko, choice of small side dish) or the "Sausage Egg Set" for 410 yen (fried egg, sausage, nori, oshinko, choice of small side dish). Which one should I choose? (It's not under 200 yen!) Bye~(^.^)/~~~
