(Visited in early August 2023) I went for lunch on a weekday. The temperature was 32°C with slightly low humidity. I visited a cafe called Cafe & Bar located at the foot of the Magohashi bridge in Kudanshita. The location was great as I could walk mostly in the shade. I arrived at 1:00 PM, no customers before or after me. The cafe is located inside a beauty salon, so the atmosphere was nice. The lunch menu consisted of only one item, a Roast Beef Bowl set for 1,000 yen. Simple and straightforward! I sat at the counter and ordered the Roast Beef Bowl. For drinks, you could help yourself to black tea, iced coffee, or water. I chose black tea, which seemed like a good match for any dish. The food was served in about 5 minutes, with a side salad. The dressing on the salad had a nice kick to it. The bowl was filled with slices of roast beef, topped with a yolk in the center and mayonnaise on the side. The meat was drizzled with sauce and balsamic vinegar. It looked like there was thyme and black pepper sprinkled on top. The meat was incredibly tender and thin, giving it a great texture. I was hooked from the first bite. The spices sprinkled on top added a nice touch. The sauce was not too sweet, making it easy to eat. The balsamic vinegar added a nice acidity to the dish. The mayonnaise was mild and complemented the dish well. The best part was that the meat seemed never-ending as I kept eating. I finished the rice first and savored the meat last. I quickly finished my meal, paid with PayPay, thanked the staff for the delicious food, and left. This place was amazing! I will definitely come back when the weather cools down.

When I visited last time, the shop was closed, so this was my first time eating at the restaurant. The shop opens at 11:45 am, and I arrived a little early, so I was the first customer. The shop only serves roast beef bowls, so there wasn't much to order. I helped myself to a drink (iced tea or iced coffee) as it was hot and I was really thirsty. I drank the iced tea quickly, but luckily refills were allowed. When I got a takeout (bento), I made a mistake when carrying it diagonally, which I had never done before... I'm so disappointed (T.T). I'll attach a picture of the mishap.

Third takeout. Last time, I went to the store but it was temporarily closed. Too bad! I had to go to a different store instead. Today, I was planning to have lunch at the store, but due to other work commitments, I couldn't make it in time for lunch and asked a friend to pick up a takeout for me after 12 o'clock. I finally got the bento box at 2 o'clock. Of course, it was delicious! The thickness of the meat, the sauce, and the egg yolk coating the meat were all amazing ♡ I didn't mind the softness of the rice this time. I really want to eat at the store next time. (3rd time's the charm...)

Second takeout. This time the rice was a bit softer than last time, which caught my attention more than the red theme. The egg yolk is the best! Personally, I think it would be nice to have cherry tomatoes on the salad, but for 1,000 yen, I can't complain. The salad is delicious, not just the roast beef. I'd like to try eating at the restaurant next time. On a side note, the beer and wine in the third picture are brought from home.

It is a beauty salon called Calm, which also has a cafe attached. I was curious, so I decided to get a takeout beef steak bowl. When you eat in the restaurant, it comes with a drink. The quality is amazing and doesn't feel like a bento! However, personally, I like my rice a bit firm, so I was a bit disappointed that the rice was on the softer side. (Maybe it was just a one-time thing?) I plan to give it another try on a different day.

I went to "Kalm Cafe&Bar"! The outside of the shop had a sign for "Roast Beef Bowl," and inside the entrance, there were menu items and drawings for the "Roast Beef Bowl," really emphasizing it. I thought to myself as I entered. When I was shown to my seat, there was a menu on the table, but before I could even look at it, the staff took it away, saying, "Roast Beef Bowl, right?" It was a lightning-fast move. I quickly realized that this was a place with only one choice on the menu - the "Roast Beef Bowl." It comes with free coffee and tea, so I had iced tea while waiting. Then a salad and bowl arrived. The salad had a lot of dressing, so you might want to add your own to suit your taste. The Roast Beef Bowl had tender roast beef from domestic beef with mayo and a egg yolk on top, and it was quite delicious. Later in the evening, my sharp-nosed parent asked, "Did you eat garlic? What did you have for lunch?" Oh, maybe there was garlic in the dish. I'm sorry, maybe I smelled like it at work too.

At night, it seems like a good place for bar hopping with mainly appetizers. The second place to visit with a wide variety of drinks, including lots of wine (the owner seems to be a sommelier). The captions written by the staff for the drinks are funny. It's convenient to get there from both Jimbocho Station and Kudanshita Station. Also, they occasionally have KPOP nights (lol). When I went, it was Madonna and Michael Jackson night! The drinks range from 590 yen and there's no cover charge, so you can easily stop by for a quick drink.
