Each seat is spacious and relaxed, allowing you to enjoy your meal at your own pace without worrying about your surroundings. The serving is fully handled by cat-shaped robots, making it a fun experience for children as well. Truly a restaurant from the Skylark group! Fast, cheap, and delicious - it has everything you need.

Recently, the frequency of visiting family restaurants has been increasing. The reason for this is the practice of "autophagy", which involves fasting for 16 hours. If you want to know more details, please read the book "The Strongest Medicine is Hunger". I have started practicing autophagy, so I don't eat anything except water from 9:00 pm to 1:00 pm. By adding a few hours, it's already evening. This evening is the time for my drinking and dinner. On this day, after finishing work at home, I went to my usual restaurant, Bamiyan Chofu Tsutsujigaoka branch. First, I ordered my usual drink set for 647 yen. For the beer, I chose the cucumber with meat miso. This drink set also comes with spicy peanuts, which can easily accompany two beers. After the beer, I enjoyed a glass of red wine served in a decanter. For the wine, I chose my favorite spicy red dumplings. Although slightly more expensive than regular dumplings, these are my go-to choice. The dumpling skin has a numbing flavor, so it's best enjoyed with vinegar and pepper. Even though I had fewer snacks this day, I drank to my heart's content for about 2000 yen. As always, Bamiyan's happy hour is the best. But, am I the only one who feels like the price of wine has gone up recently...? Thank you for the meal.

The end of the pandemic is finally in sight, and daily life is gradually returning to normal. Although unconditional office attendance is still a bit away from being allowed, working from home remains the norm for now. This day, I relocated to my usual spot for a Zoom meeting at 4 pm. The destination was Bamiyan Chofu Tsutsujigaoka store. Bamiyan has brought back its Happy Hour, with a few changes such as the introduction of "BARmiyan" and a drink buffet for making sours. They have also added a menu called "Evening Drink Set" to increase customer spending on alcohol. After finishing my Zoom meeting at 4 pm, I started my evening drinks a bit early. I ordered the Evening Drink Set for 647 yen, which included draft beer, spicy peanuts, and a choice of side dish (I chose fried mackerel with sweet vinegar soy sauce). The fried mackerel is one of my favorite snacks at Bamiyan. The spicy peanuts were also delicious and paired well with the beer. It's worth noting that Happy Hour now ends at 6 pm, compared to the previous 8 pm during the state of emergency. So, on this day, I only had an hour of evening drinks from 5 pm to 6 pm. I had another glass of beer, ordered some seasoned bamboo shoots, and enjoyed a decanter of red wine before finishing my drinks. The total cost for drinks that day was 2300 yen, slightly higher than my usual budget of 2000 yen. But since I only have one meal a day, I'll let it slide. I'm happy that Happy Hour is back at family restaurants, especially because I can enjoy wine there. Family restaurant wines are surprisingly good, so I'll be enjoying more Happy Hours there for a while. Thank you for the meal.

The state of emergency has been lifted, but telecommuting continues. I was working from home on this day, but decided to take a break and head to my usual spot, Bamiyan Chofu Tsutsujigaoka branch. I had a craving for something I hadn't eaten all year - hiyashi chuka. I didn't know how long it would be on the menu, so I decided to have it that day. I ordered the Summer Vegetable Lemon Hiyashi Chuka Lunch for 935 yen, with spicy red dumplings (3 pieces) on the side. After a few minutes of waiting and working, my meal arrived. It may not look like much, but it looked delicious. The dish had zucchini, okra, carrots, marinated onions, and a seasoned egg. After mixing it well, I found it to be refreshing and tasty. The combination of vinegar and lemon added a nice tanginess. It was a perfect dish for a hot summer day. Thank you for the meal.

Due to the state of emergency, I continue to live a secluded life at home every day. I usually only eat one meal a day at home, but occasionally I go out for a change of pace. On this day, I had Zoom meetings scheduled until the evening, so I went out for the first time in a while. I visited the Bamiyan Chofu Tsutsujigaoka store. I haven't been able to drink alcohol recently, so I've been staying away, but I had a reason to meet someone, so I went out for the first time in a while. I've tried almost all the daily lunch specials, so today I chose the noodle lunch, which I probably haven't tried before. Spicy Negi Salt Ramen Lunch - 935 yen. I sipped on an iced coffee while waiting, and in a few minutes, my meal arrived. The clear soup was appetizing. First, I took a sip of the soup, which had a delicious salty flavor for a family restaurant. Then, I added the separate servings of negi and chashu, and slurped them with the noodles. The noodles were the same as other noodle dishes, but they were cooked just right and delicious. I like spicy food, so I added pepper and chili oil for another slurp, which made it even more delicious. And I tried the popular side dish "Spicy Red Dumplings", which was a must-try. The spiciness was irresistible. I hope we can drink beer with these dumplings soon. It was a quite delicious bowl of salt ramen that I tried for the first time at Bamiyan after a long time. Maybe I'll try another noodle lunch next time? Thank you for the meal.

I came back after a long time to Bamiyan Chofu Tsutsujigaoka store. Until 2 o'clock, I had a Zoom meeting at home and then entered the store, where there were a few groups of customers already. It's not as crowded as the Gusto in the station building. I plan to participate in a Zoom meeting here until after 5 pm, so I will have lunch and dinner. The reason is that I still can't drink alcohol. I will eat early, buy some snacks to take home, and have a drink at home. Looking at the menu on the tablet, there were no lunch or set meal options. Upon checking, it seemed to be treated as a holiday due to the summer vacation period. So, I chose a menu item that I had never tried before. Char siu and black ma oil miso ramen for 799 yen, plus a drink buffet for 219 yen. I was instantly attracted to the word "ma oil". The dish arrived in a few minutes. At first glance, it looks quite different in terms of volume compared to the photo. First, the soup was rich and very delicious. It had a slightly fragrant miso flavor combined with ma oil, creating a taste that was not typical of family restaurants. The noodles were thin curly noodles commonly used in Bamiyan's noodle dishes. The toppings included char siu, stir-fried bean sprouts, and a boiled egg. I would say it was decent, but the boiled egg yolk was too hard, which was disappointing. I believe a soft-boiled egg yolk is essential... Still, the delicious soup saved the overall dish, earning it a passing grade. The ma oil flavor was impressive, and the heat retention was excellent. I was pleased to be able to enjoy the hot soup until the end. If I come on a day other than a weekday, I would consider coming back for another bowl. It was a satisfying meal. Thank you for the meal.

This was my fourth time experiencing a state of emergency declaration, so alcohol service was prohibited. I didn't have to worry about happy hour and arrived here before 2pm. I had lunch at the Bamiyan Chofu Tsutsujigaoka store for about 3 hours until 5pm, where I planned to work afterwards. First, I selected my lunch menu. I was feeling hungry and wanted to eat rice instead of noodles. So, I decided to try the mapo tofu fried rice with dumplings on the side. Mapo Tofu Fried Rice Lunch Set 769 yen Dumplings (3 pieces) 110 yen Drink buffet 175 yen Since it was going to be a long stay, I ordered the drink buffet as a substitute for alcohol. After a few minutes of waiting, my meal arrived. The initial impression was amazing. The portion of the fried rice and mapo tofu was huge. I first tried the mapo tofu, which was not spicy but had a simple and delicious taste. Next, I had the fried rice, which I tried for the first time and found it quite tasty. The dumplings had a standard taste, barely passing the mark. I added a hot spring egg to a separate plate halfway through, but it didn't really change the flavor much as it wasn't very spicy. This was a menu I had been curious about for a while and tried for the first time. I was very satisfied with both the portion size and taste. Normally, I would only order appetizers when drinking, so this was a refreshing change. I am concerned about my weight, but until August 23, I want to try various menus focusing on meals. Thank you for the meal.

Since the last time I went to Gusto, this time I went to Bamiyan. There are many menu items I want to try at Bamiyan Chofu Tsutsujigaoka store, but I will refrain from drinking alcohol. I ordered the following menu items: Fried chicken (4 pieces) 329 yen, Green onion salt chilled tomato 329 yen. Please note that the fried chicken is not listed on the appetizer page, so be careful. I happened to find it, but it may be better than fried chicken & potatoes at the same price. I ordered the chilled tomato for health reasons, but there is quite a lot. As usual, the highball is weak, so I switched to red wine for a refill. Whether it's Gusto, Bamiyan, or Saizeriya, the wine at family restaurants is reasonably tasty for 100 yen a glass. I was able to work comfortably for about 2 hours while creating documents and drinking. Now, where should I work tomorrow...? Thank you for the meal.

Since it's the rainy season, we've been having bad weather days. Today was rainy too, so I decided to stay close to home and went to this place. Bamiyan Chofu Tsutsujigaoka branch. It was getting late in the evening, but I started drinking a little early. I chose these as my drinking snacks: Potato & Karaage (329 yen) and Meat Miso Cucumber (329 yen). They arrived in a few minutes. I was pleasantly surprised by the "Potato & Karaage" - it was much more voluminous than in the menu photo. The Meat Miso Cucumber was reliably delicious and also healthy. I had a few highballs over the course of an hour for a Zoom meeting in the evening, and then left. The total cost was about 1500 yen. Bamiyan's snack menu offers good value for money, so I recommend it. However, the highballs are a bit weak, so you won't get drunk after just a few.

The ban on serving alcohol was lifted from June 21st. I thought maybe there would be a happy hour starting at 11 a.m., but at Bamiyan, the happy hour still started at 2 p.m. So, if you want to drink in the morning, you have to go to Gusto. On this day, I moved to the restaurant at 5 p.m. to join a Zoom meeting. I settled in at a seat at Bamiyan Chofu Tsutsujigaoka that was good for Zoom meetings, quenching my thirst while participating in the meeting. Even though it was dinner time, I chose appetizers because I could drink alcohol. It was my first time having appetizers in a while, and I chose two of my favorites from Bamiyan. Spicy Red Dumplings for 323 yen and Mackerel Tempura in Sweet Vinegar Soy Sauce for 329 yen. They arrived in a few minutes, both priced in the 300 yen range, so they were very cost-effective. The contrast between the sweet and spicy mackerel and the spicy red dumplings was perfect with my highball. Highballs are only 200 yen per glass no matter how many you have, which is wallet-friendly. However, the highballs are a bit weak, so if you want to get tipsy, you might want to go for a stronger mix. I prefer to drink them as a side dish while I drink more at home later, so the current mix is just right for me. Although alcohol is being served again, the number of new COVID-19 cases in Tokyo is not decreasing significantly. If the numbers don't go down, there might be another request to stop alcohol service. The tension for the Olympics is palpable, and it's a complex situation, but if they're going to do it, I hope they take thorough precautions. Let's prevent another ban on drinking outside, please.

On a sunny Tuesday, I decided to go to my usual satellite office for lunch. I was torn between Bamiyan Chofu Tsutsujigaoka and Gust, but my stomach was craving ramen that day. During lunchtime, they offer a noodle lunch set which includes a choice of side dish and a drink bar for around 1000 yen, which is a good deal. This time, I chose this one from the various noodle lunch options. Dan Dan Noodles Lunch 935 yen, of course, my favorite side dish is always the red dumplings. After a few minutes of waiting, the noodles arrived. The appearance is simple, with minced meat and something stir-fried on top. I took a sip of the soup, which has a fairly sesame-like flavor. Mixing the minced meat thoroughly adds depth to the soup. The noodles are thin straight noodles, cooked well. Personally, I prefer the soup to be a bit richer in flavor and the noodles to be firmer. The red dumplings were delicious as always. Recently, the Kanto region has also entered the rainy season. The weather forecast for tomorrow shows a lot of rain, so it looks like my dining out frequency will decrease. With the next dining out plan uncertain, this meal left me slightly unsatisfied. Next time the weather is clear, I'll go out to eat delicious ramen. Thank you for the meal.

Today, I had a Zoom meeting at home until 1:30 PM. Instead of continuing to work at home, I decided to take a walk and bring my laptop to my usual satellite office. I went to Bamiyan Chofu Tsutsujigaoka branch, which I haven't visited in a while. When I arrived around 2 PM, over 80% of the seats were already taken. I checked the menu and chose something I had never tried before. I ordered the Vegetable Ankake Yakisoba lunch set for 935 yen, which comes with a choice of one item and a drink bar. The dish arrived after a short wait, although it looked slightly different from the menu photo. The choice item I picked was the usual red dumplings. The Vegetable Ankake Yakisoba had slightly burnt noodles, and there was not much meat in it, mostly vegetables. However, the taste was quite good. I then worked at the office until 5 PM, as there are about five of us who use this place as an office alternative. The office is cool with a drink bar, making it a convenient working space. Overall, it was a satisfying experience.

Today was a hot summer day, and it was so hot working in my room. I started thinking that it might be time to turn on the air conditioner... and then I had the idea to move to a cooler place. On a day like this, I really feel like having hot ramen in a place with good air conditioning. So, I grabbed my laptop and headed to my usual spot, Bamiyan Chofu Tsutsujigaoka store, to get some work done. I settled in a comfortable corner seat and first ordered some food. I searched the menu on the tablet and decided on the following: Hot and Sour Noodle Lunch for 935 yen. I love hot and sour noodles and have them often, but this might be my first time trying them at Bamiyan. For the side dish, I chose the "Spicy! Spicy! Red Gyoza" again, because the spiciness is just irresistible. After a few minutes of waiting, my food arrived. My first impression was... it looked small? The soup had a strong sour and spicy flavor. The noodles were normal, not overcooked, which was good. The ingredients like bamboo shoots and shiitake mushrooms were quite plentiful. It may not compare to the hot and sour noodles I had at Sanpotei when I worked in Shibuya, but it passed the test. I have been using Bamiyan quite often lately, and it's just so comfortable. With air conditioning, lunch, and a drink included for less than 1000 yen, it's a great deal. I might become a bit of a homebody during the rainy season, but on sunny days, I'll make sure to make good use of it. Thank you for the meal.

Today I had a ramen craving, but I have a Zoom meeting at 1pm. In times like this, family restaurants are perfect. So, I ended up coming here back-to-back. I'm a fan of ramen, but I haven't had noodles much at Bamiyan. I carefully chose from the tablet menu and decided on this dish: Musashino Mapo Ramen Lunch for 935 yen. It's a convenient menu where you can enjoy both my favorite mapo tofu and ramen at the same time. For the lunch menu, you can also choose side dishes like gyoza or almond jelly. I had to go with the "Spicy Red Gyoza" without a doubt. The dish arrived in just a few minutes. The mapo ramen was delicious as always. Personally, I wish it was a bit spicier, but I added some chili oil and enjoyed it. The red gyoza had a nice subtle spiciness to it. On this day when I was craving ramen, it was a very satisfying meal. However, I still want to try a more authentic mapo ramen. Next time, I might ride my bike to "Akazukin" in Soshigaya-Okura. But why in Musashino? If anyone knows, please tell me. Thank you for the meal.

Last week, I couldn't eat out for 4 days due to training. This week, I am actively eating out, starting with this restaurant. Bamiyan Choofu Tsutsujigaoka Branch. Happy hour is not available yet due to the state of emergency, so I use their lunch and drink bar as my office. I tried a menu I had never had before, the Chicken Chili Sauce Lunch for 659 yen. It was a surprisingly generous portion of chicken with a fairly spicy chili sauce, which I enjoyed. For an additional 100 yen, I added three dumplings. I arrived around 1 pm due to many meetings on Monday, had lunch, and worked until evening. Around 6 pm, I finished work, bought beer and snacks at the convenience store, and went home. Since happy hour was canceled, this has been my routine. It looks like I'll continue with family restaurant lunches for a while. Thank you for the meal.

This time, I visited this restaurant after a long time. I try to eat out as much as possible because eating UberEats or convenience store bento at home feels lonely. However, I need to work, so having Wifi and being able to stay for a long time after lunch is a must. This leaves me with three choices: Gusto, Bamiyan, or Pier's Cafe. On this day, I chose Bamiyan because they had a daily lunch menu that I had never tried before. The daily lunch menu I chose was Eggplant and Ground Pork Spicy Stir-fry Lunch for 659 yen. It was delicious, with onions, eggplant, and ground pork stir-fried in a sweet and spicy sauce. It's also nice that you can add three gyoza for an extra 100 yen. I usually add a drink bar to my daily lunch and work until around 5 pm. Since I can't drink alcohol at the restaurant, I buy some snacks at the convenience store on my way home. I try to choose low-carb options like salads and chicken snacks to avoid gaining weight, but I haven't been able to lose weight lately. I really want to lose weight during this no-alcohol period. Thank you for the meal.

Recently, I've been to Gusto twice in a row, so I decided to try something different this time. I went to the Bamiyan Chofu Tsutsujigaoka store. This time, I aimed for the Friday daily lunch special. The Mackerel and Karaage Sweet Vinegar Soy Sauce Lunch for 599 yen. It's a daily lunch special, but it's definitely more like a snack to go with drinks. It comes with about 4 or 5 pieces of fried mackerel and 2 pieces of karaage. There are also tomatoes, lettuce, and green onions, so it's quite a filling meal. And of course, the essential topping for Bamiyan's daily lunch specials. Gyoza (3 pieces) for 110 yen. With the lunch side dishes and 3 gyoza, you could probably have 5 highballs. Although I don't drink that much. Both Bamiyan and Gusto offer lunch options until 5 pm, which is great. Plus, happy hour goes until 8 pm, so you can come in before 5 pm, have lunch with a few highballs, and then finish with wine. It's become one of my favorite routines lately. Thank you for the meal.

Last time, I tried Bamiyan's daily lunch menu for the first time. Although the menu was not to my liking, I found that it was quite cost-effective. This time, I tried the Thursday menu. Salted malted rice chicken breast stir-fry lunch for 599 yen. I love salted malted rice. And chicken breast seems like a good choice because it doesn't seem like it would make you gain weight. I also ordered three dumplings as a topping when ordering the lunch menu. The generous portion of chicken breast is stir-fried with leeks, eggplant, and a spicy sauce. The flavor goes well with both rice dishes and as a snack with a highball. The classic dumplings are delicious even when cold, making them a perfect snack with a highball. Lately, I've been going to Bamiyan more than Gusto... Bamiyan is less crowded and more suitable for Zoom meetings. Plus, it's closer to home than Gusto. Also, it might just be my imagination, but the highballs at Bamiyan taste better than at Gusto. By the way, Bamiyan's happy hour is from 2 pm to 8 pm. Unlike Gusto, it starts late, so please be aware of that. With remote work continuing, it looks like family restaurants will play a bigger role. Thank you for the meal.

Today, I had a busy schedule with meetings and ended up missing lunch. So, even though it was a bit early, I brought my laptop and headed to this restaurant for lunch and dinner. The Bariuman Chofu Tsutsujigaoka store was not very crowded, probably because it was before 5 pm. The difference from Gusto is that you can use the Wi-Fi and power outlets here, but there were no customers working on their laptops. It might be a good hidden spot for getting work done. I ordered two dishes this time: Fried mackerel with sweet vinegar soy sauce for 249 yen and Cucumber with meat miso for 249 yen. They were perfect snacks for Highball. The small dishes at Bariuman are quite cost-effective. These two dishes were not enough for dinner, but since I am on a low-carb diet, I am avoiding noodles and rice. So, I was thinking about trying the Mapo tofu... and then I found it. Spicy Red Dumplings for 299 yen. The dumplings use chili pepper and Sichuan pepper in the skin and filling, allowing you to enjoy both spiciness and numbness. As a fan of numbness, I had to try it. I tried it with soy sauce and chili oil, and vinegar and pepper, and the vinegar and pepper combination was definitely better. If you visit Bariuman, I highly recommend trying this dish. If you make good use of the Happy Hour at Bariuman, it can be more cost-effective than Hidakaya. They have a wide variety of dishes, so I plan to try more in the future. Thank you for the meal.

I casually started a low-carb diet. Instead of going to Gusto every time, I decided to try this restaurant, Bamiyan Chofu Tsutsujigaoka, which is also part of the Skylark Group. Their Happy Hour starts from 2pm and includes a highball for the same price of 200 yen. The appetizer menu is quite extensive as well. This time, I had yakitori chicken for 249 yen and salted cold tomatoes with green onions for 249 yen. Although the portions are small, the prices are reasonable. They also have gyoza on the regular menu, which is reassuring. It's a shame that Happy Hour starts at 2pm, but overall it's a pass. Maybe it's just me, but the highball tasted better here than at Gusto. I plan to come back here regularly. Thank you for the meal.
