I planned to line up from 9:40 am, but arrived at 9:30 am. There were already 5 people in line, so I decided to join them. While waiting in line, I placed my order in advance. I ordered an anago set meal for 1,880 yen and added white fish for a total of 2,040 yen. I noticed that the prices have gone up quite a bit compared to before. We were able to enter the restaurant at 10 am, but those who were 7th in line or later had to wait for the second batch of tempura to be fried. So, I was glad that I arrived early. The side dishes included pickled daikon radish, squid with yuzu sauce, and spicy cod roe with mackerel, which were all you can eat. For the tempura, I started with anago, shiitake mushroom, and egg. When I had eaten about half of the anago, the rest of the tempura arrived, including squid tempura, shrimp, pumpkin, quail, white fish, and more. I enjoyed them with dipping sauce and salt. They were delicious, but I couldn't help but compare them to the tempura I had in Fukuoka, which was incredibly tasty. The restaurant in Fukuoka served each tempura piece individually, so they were all hot and delicious. Also, the dipping sauce in Fukuoka was a bit sweeter, which I think suits the taste of Kyushu people better. Overall, the tempura at this restaurant was tasty and the atmosphere was nice, but if I were to wait in line for it again, I would probably go for the tempura bowl at Kaneko Hanosuke.
