Just a 3-4 minute walk from Akasaka-Mitsuke Station on the Tokyo Metro... From Akasaka Station, it would be about 5-6 minutes... This is a tonkatsu restaurant located along the Esplanade Akasaka Street. The main store is in Roppongi, and they also have branches in Ginza. I first visited about 10 years ago... I remember being taken there for lunch by my boss at the time, and I thought the tonkatsu was elegant. Since then, I haven't had the chance to visit again, but I recently had lunch there after a long time. I entered the restaurant just before 12:00 on a weekday... It was almost full even at this time, but luckily there was a seat at the counter so I could enter without waiting. [Order details] - Special Sa-sami Katsu Set (1200 yen) There were various options, but I chose the Sa-sami Katsu Set, which is said to be the specialty... It's a menu item that uses 3 pieces of Sa-sami made from brand chicken raised on a contracted farm in Iwate Prefecture. It's said to have a healthy deliciousness as its feature... You can choose between white rice and mixed grain rice, but I went for the mixed grain rice for a health-conscious choice. First, shredded cabbage was served in a bowl... You can also get refills, so I had it with the special dressing and waited for the main dish to arrive... Rice, red miso soup, and pickles were served at the right timing... The set was served in about 10 minutes... Now, as usual, I would like you to refer to the photos for details, but the beautifully browned Sa-sami Katsu has an amazing color... It's recommended to eat it with rock salt... "Oh... It's tender..." I was impressed by the tenderness of the meat wrapped in crispy batter... According to the official website, it's a masterpiece that pursues "extreme tenderness"... Indeed, it's a taste that you can't easily find elsewhere... Additionally, the deliciousness of the rice and red miso soup was outstanding... It was a set that truly lived up to its reputation... It was practically like a first visit for me, but the performance of the specialty Sa-sami Katsu was wonderful, and it turned out to be a fulfilling lunch. It's no wonder they're successful in a location where high-end stores are lined up in Roppongi, Ginza, and Akasaka... Since it's not far from my workplace, I would like to revisit and try other menu items... I would like to continue using it regularly for everyday lunch, etc. Thank you for the meal.
