I thought it was just a joke hamburger restaurant, so I kept my distance, but it suddenly became popular. Despite this, I visited a branch in Omotesando (not affiliated) and ended up disappointed, so I stayed away for a while. However, with recommendations from my hair stylist and nail artist, and the fact that online reservations were now available, my attention was completely captured. "Ground Meat and Rice Shibuya Branch". I was thrilled to secure a reservation for the 6:00 PM slot. Shibuya is a bit far from home, so it was a bit tricky to make a lunch reservation, but I was thrilled. I arrived around 5:55 PM, but the location was so obscure that I couldn't help but laugh. I compared the map on Tabelog and confirmed the sign before storming in. However, for some reason, the staircase hallway was pitch black. Someone must have accidentally turned off the lights. With a sense of suspicion at 200%, I lined up at the 6:00 PM slot. (My companion said, "I'll go turn on the lights!" and went to press the switch on the wall) We were the last guests for the 6:00 PM slot, but due to bad weather and high humidity, we were kept waiting for about 15 minutes before being let inside the restaurant at 6:05 PM. Since it operates on a food ticket system, we purchased two sets of three hamburger steak meals, one order of ground meat and rice squash or something, one draft beer, one potato salad, and one kimchi. The rice served was Koshihikari rice from Kochi Prefecture. It's not as good as Akita Komachi, but it has a sticky texture and a sweet taste that I love. The drawer was fully equipped with a wet towel, rock salt, pepper, chopsticks, and at the counter, there were soy sauce, green chili salt lemon, green chili oil, Ma-san's spicy chili powder, Jao Ma, garlic flakes, pickled Chinese cabbage with plum vinegar, and eating soy sauce, all readily available for flavor customization. The counter had a free refill policy for rice. The hamburger steak that arrived was delicious beyond comparison to a certain restaurant in Omotesando that I've mentioned multiple times. I don't understand why they are so different. The meat juices overflowed, not as dramatically as a gush, but they oozed out. It had a chewy texture from cartilage, giving it a wild yet refined taste that didn't feel cheap. While eating these three hamburger steaks, I discovered my favorite combination: grated daikon with ponzu sauce, green chili salt lemon, and green chili oil. The eating soy sauce was also delicious, but it was an item that made the rice go down smoothly rather than the hamburger steak. So, if you can eat a lot, you could probably just eat that and be satisfied. It's heaven for teenage boys who come here. The rice was wonderfully cooked, with a plump texture and a high moisture content. I could taste the natural sweetness of the rice grains. I regretted not having a bigger stomach, as I had three and a half bowls of rice. My companion had three bowls. Finally, I had the obligatory egg over rice with soy sauce for a simple finish. The pickled Chinese cabbage was quite salty, so if you eat a lot of it, you'll get very thirsty. Personally, I would prefer it to have a milder saltiness. The miso soup, made with onions and something I forgot, was simple yet flavorful. The letdowns were the drink and the kimchi. The drink was a watermelon-based squash-like drink, but it tasted artificial, like a jelly of a rhinoceros beetle, and was not enjoyable at all. I couldn't finish it. The kimchi was not like a salad, but more like a Korean appetizer that is soaked and tender. It was so different from what I had imagined that my companion and I couldn't finish it. The potato salad was delicious, but using the same Chinese cabbage felt like a letdown.
