It was hot and my throat was dry, so I ordered a drink first. The potato salad appetizer came out, but after that, the drinks never arrived, no wet towels were provided, and the staff seemed clueless when asked about the menu. The food was mediocre, but the service was so bad that I ended up going to another restaurant to have a proper drink.

On Saturday night, I made a reservation and visited this place. There are a few seats at the counter and tables. The back seats are smoking allowed. They have a wide variety of dishes on the menu that caught my attention. It took a bit longer for the dishes to be served, probably because it was crowded. The appetizer was a unique touch with a bonito sushi. I tried the stuffed snow crab shell and was surprised at how they could offer it at this price. It had a good amount of miso and tasted great as a snack. The duck liver was just the right texture and very delicious! The marinated raw fish had a slightly sour taste. The rolled omelette with salmon roe on top looked very appealing. There was a bit of a smell to the salmon roe, but considering the cost, it was reasonable. I recommend trying the spicy cod roe or just plain. I initially thought it was a trendy new-style fish izakaya, but the dishes felt very well-prepared and made me decide to come back. They also offer sushi, and there are still many more dishes I want to try!

It was a reasonable and cozy restaurant with a good atmosphere. Each dish seemed to be carefully prepared. I ordered Nishikyo-yaki, which was delicious, but the plates were a bit lacking. I will definitely go back when I want to eat seafood dishes with good cost performance.

On my second visit. The shellfish and tuna sushi for the appetizer were delicious. Any fish is delicious. I was surprised to see firefly squid on top of the chawanmushi. The fluffy chawanmushi is delicious. The oyster with Saikyo miso butter is also amazing! Oysters and miso go well together! Thank you for the meal.

Visited a restaurant after 6pm on a holiday. There was one group in front, a few people at the counter, and one or two groups at the back. There were a few people smoking electronic cigarettes outside, so I wonder if it's a non-smoking establishment. According to Tabelog, smoking is allowed at the back, but there was no smell of smoke throughout, which was good for non-smokers. The seafood platter SP for 1780 yen was a great deal with fresh and tasty oysters, red clams, and more. The large shrimp tempura for 680 yen was delicious and a good snack. The large mackerel fry for 380 yen was tasty with homemade tartar sauce. The ikura roll for 500 yen was delicious. The homemade potato salad for 390 yen was simple and tasty with no unnecessary ingredients. The vinegar tofu for 320 yen was topped with yukari and had a nice texture. The hamburger for 780 yen was not something you would expect from the menu, but it was a stylish and delicious dish. The fried chicken for 680 yen had paprika powder on top and was simply delicious.

The appetizer oden and tuna sushi were delicious, especially the oden broth which I wanted to drink all up! The tuna sushi was melt-in-your-mouth tender and didn't seem like a typical appetizer quality! I also ordered the raw oysters, which were delicious as is! They have a variety of seasonings like lemon salt and Bowmore. The fried horse mackerel was tasty, and the homemade tartar sauce was carefully made. The fried sardines with plum were also well-prepared and tasty. The tempura with pickled ginger and onions was a big portion and good value for money! The rolled sushi had delicious rice and fillings. They have a wide selection of drinks (sours) as well. The owner seemed to put a lot of care into each dish. Thank you for the meal!

When it comes to Kameido, it's all about meat dishes like hormone and gyoza. However, this time I tried seafood here and it was fresh, cheap, and delicious. The only downside was a woman smoking next to me, which was a bit uncomfortable. I've had some unpleasant experiences at restaurants in the Kinshicho area, so I had been avoiding them, but now I feel like giving it another try. Thank you for the meal.

I had a great time at Kaede in Kameido (^_^) It's a seafood-focused izakaya where the complimentary dishes are sushi and seasoned whitebait. The sushi pieces are a decent size and the service is very generous!! We also enjoyed a sashimi platter and tempura. The menu is extensive with delicious-sounding options, so we ended up ordering too much and got really full. (laughs) They also have unique drinks (^_^) With counter and table seating, it seems like a place where you can easily come alone☆

Less than a 5-minute walk from Kameido Station, this izakaya specializes in seafood. It's an interesting place where sushi comes as a complimentary appetizer. Overall, the food is delicious, but there were a few things that caught my attention. They have some dishes with market price (like crab and sea urchin rolls) which were around 1200-2000 yen. The crab had a lot of shell or sinew-like parts which made me hesitant to eat it. I wish they had put in a bit more effort to clean it. When I ordered the sea urchin roll, they gave me a complimentary kanpyo roll, which was nice, but the sea urchin had a strong taste of alum. The sashimi, on the other hand, was delicious and enjoyable. I ended up spending over 6000 yen because I went a bit overboard with eating and drinking (laughs). Normally, you can eat and drink for less than 5000 yen per person.

A shop located on the north side of Kameido Station. This time, I ordered sashimi and oden, both of which were of good quality and delicious. The staff's service was efficient and good. However, the seating area is partially smoking allowed, with smoking permitted at the tables in the back. Despite some distance, the smell of cigarettes still manages to waft over due to the air conditioning. Hmm, that was quite disappointing.

You can eat delicious fish and shellfish here! There is a counter and the staff are friendly and willing to chat, so it's a place you can go alone. They have sashimi, hairy crab, sea urchin, salmon roe, and many other original dishes! As a starter, they serve sea bream sushi and mini oden (deep-fried fish cakes). The oden was delicious! I tried eating fresh oysters with Bowmore whiskey, which was surprisingly a good match! Be careful not to pour too much though, as it can make you drunk quickly haha. They also have 4 types of sauces and suggested new ways to enjoy the food. The sashimi platter included red clam and sea eel, a luxurious selection of 8 types of sashimi. Most places offer around 4 types, so it felt like a great deal! I love firefly squid, and they serve it freshly boiled, which was delicious! You can enjoy it with ginger soy sauce or vinegar miso. The mentaiko tofu with cod roe topping looked amazing and tasted great! The foil-baked shirako was soft and creamy, very tasty! The half-sized hairy crab platter was packed full and satisfying. The uni roll was topped with salmon roe, and they even added fatty tuna as a bonus! I wanted to try more dishes, but I was too full to continue. I definitely want to visit this restaurant in Kameido again!

Kaede, a popular restaurant in Kinshicho, is a branch of Kaede, known for its grilled and simmered offal dishes. However, at this branch, called Kaede, they focus on dishes made with fish and shellfish instead. The interior of the restaurant is clean and beautiful, with both table and counter seating available. The menu features creative dishes using fish and shellfish as ingredients. As I looked through the menu, I was torn between so many delicious options. Soon, a 350 yen appetizer arrived, consisting of simmered daikon radish and a piece of white fish sushi. It was a pleasant surprise to see sushi on the menu as well. Excited, I selected the following dishes for this visit:
- Stir-fried seafood with Shimo-ji negi (Japanese leek) for 680 yen
- Special medium fatty tuna for 680 yen
The Shimo-ji negi was thick and delicious, coated in butter that tantalized my hungry stomach. The squid with butter was also a delightful treat. The special medium fatty tuna dish came with a large piece of tuna backbone, from which we could scrape off the remaining meat with a shell or spoon. This is where the term "negitoro" originates. The meat clinging to the bones of both the meat and fish was incredibly tasty, especially the pure flavor of the tuna. The chef, Mr. Shimizu, also shared interesting stories. Whether dining alone or with a group, it seems like a place where everyone can enjoy themselves.

I went without a reservation around 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. It was not crowded, so I sat at the back. The complimentary sushi was whale, which was unusual. I had ikura as a snack! There are also smoking seats available.

I visited the restaurant with a friend at night, but it was a bit different. We ordered a sashimi platter. The color seemed off, with the tuna looking almost black. The person at the table next to us also ordered a sashimi platter, but theirs had salmon roe on top. I checked the menu again, but there was no difference in the types listed, so I was disappointed. The other food we tried was also not great.

The sashimi platter is beautiful. The staff's service is pleasant. The potato salad, grilled oysters with miso, and fried horse mackerel were all delicious. I wish there were more options for alcohol.
