I used it during my work break. It's a ramen restaurant located just a little over a 5-minute walk from JR Machida Station. I visited around 2:00 pm on a weekday and there was only one other customer. I was seated at the counter and was able to relax. Both the waitstaff and kitchen staff were very energetic, creating a lively atmosphere despite the few customers. I ordered the classic ramen this time. I was able to specify the firmness of the noodles, richness of the flavor, and amount of oil, so I just requested firm noodles and ordered the rest as normal. Rice was offered as a free service, so I ordered that too! The ramen arrived in just over 3 minutes after ordering. The aroma of the tonkotsu soy sauce broth unique to house-style ramen was great, stimulating my appetite. The noodles were medium thickness and had a good texture at the firmness I requested. The bowl was topped with thinly sliced pork chashu, seaweed, spinach, quail egg, and green onions, all of which paired well with the broth and provided ample volume. It was delightful to be able to enjoy this quality ramen for 800 yen with quick service! I occasionally go to Machida, so I would like to visit again if I have the chance. Thank you for the meal.

While taking a walk, I suddenly stumbled upon this place. I have been to the main store a few times, but this was my first time here. The big difference is that they accept transportation cards. I don't carry cash, so being able to use my Suica card was a pleasant surprise. They were having a free topping event, so I ordered rice. The photo of the rice is shown below. I couldn't take a photo of the ramen because I couldn't resist and started eating as soon as it arrived. Personally, I found the taste to be almost the same as the main store, and I was satisfied that I could go there without cash. I might frequent this place more often from now on.

It's irresistible for those who love rich ramen! Despite its strong flavor, you can easily finish the soup by changing the taste with onions, garlic, and vinegar! The sense of guilt is irresistible, and once you try it, you'll be hooked! You can also adjust the amount of fat and the firmness of the noodles to your liking, which is much appreciated. The richness is quite intense, so I don't think women will be able to finish the free rice...

Is this what they call "Iekei" ramen? Hmm, not quite sure about that. It's a completely different type of ramen compared to authentic Iekei (direct lineage) ramen. This ramen lacks the kick and punch. The combination of tonkotsu and soy sauce doesn't automatically make it Iekei ramen. As someone who grew up eating Yoshimura ramen, I'm not quite convinced. The ramen itself isn't bad, but the soup is too mild. It's okay if you customize it with the condiments on the table. I'm looking for a delicious ramen place in Machida for a satisfying meal after drinking. This was a blunt review.

It's been a while since I visited Machida Shoten. I ordered a large serving of ramen and also got some rice. I used to think the quality was high before, but recently it feels like the taste has changed. Maybe it's just my imagination? I might try ordering it with a stronger flavor next time.

I went to this ramen shop to wrap up a drinking party late at night. It's the usual taste, nothing special. It seems to be a matter of personal preference. It's a popular ramen spot among students, but not so much among adults. In any case, it's a good place to eat cheaply and get full. It's convenient that they're open late at night too!

I visited this restaurant once in the past and since then I have become obsessed with their ramen. I went back after a few years and the rich and thick soup was delicious, and the noodles were just the right thickness. Once you try it, you can't stop enjoying the deliciousness. The chashu pork was also nicely fatty and amazing. By the way, until 4 pm, white rice is free! (When I asked the staff if I could have white rice, they said, "After 4 pm, you can add it for an extra 100 yen!") The staff's service was very polite and they had a cheerful attitude, which was great. It's a shop near Animate in Machida! Please go and try it out!

I have been to the original store of Yokohama-style ramen restaurant 'Machida Shouten 33' in the bustling district of Machida, but this was my first visit to this location. I ordered a classic ramen from the ticket machine and the staff immediately asked about my preferences. I reflexively asked for firm noodles, but the thick noodles were probably better with normal firmness. When the ramen arrived, it had spinach, quail egg, chashu, a few sheets of seaweed, and was quite traditional. The soup was a rich tonkotsu broth typical of the Yokohama style, although it was relatively mild compared to recent trends. The thick noodles were chewy, not my favorite, but I didn't need them to be so firm. As I ate, I started adding toppings like sliced onions, which paired well with the rich soup. Adding garlic and chili bean paste really boosted the flavor of the soup. It was delicious. While eating, I noticed the staff's energetic interactions, reminiscent of the original store where the atmosphere was intense. The female staff in the kitchen seemed to have the most energy. Even the male staff escorted me to the door on my way out, showing that the restaurant's spirit is alive and well. Thank you for the meal.

I ended up at Maruda Shouten 33 after being disappointed at my original destination. It was my first time at this branch, as I usually go to the main store near my home. I purchased a ticket from the ticket machine and handed it to the staff while specifying my preferences. I ordered the tonkotsu shoyu ramen with less oil, free extra rice, and the Gold App member privilege of a seasoned egg. The ramen came with three sheets of seaweed, spinach, chashu, and quail egg, just like at the main store. The soup was a bit thin, which made the noodles feel less satisfying. Perhaps it's better to choose different stores for variety, as having the same taste at all locations may lack excitement. Thank you for the meal.

This is my usual way to pass time in Machida while my child is attending their regular lessons. I have passed by Machida Shouten many times before, but this is my first visit. There are other family-run shops in the area that I occasionally visit, but I wonder what sets this one apart. My preference for ramen is the salt flavor, which they had here as well, but since it was my first visit, I decided to stick to my basic rule of ordering the normal soy sauce ramen (730 yen). Despite it being close to dinnertime, they served complimentary rice, and the fact that refills were free was a pleasant surprise. As for the soup, I may not be an expert in flavors, but it definitely suited my taste. The noodles were thick and short, and very delicious. It was a typical family-style ramen. I enjoyed adding seaweed to the complimentary rice to enhance the family-style experience. I couldn't resist getting a rice refill. The ramen was nothing out of the ordinary, but what stood out about this place was the attentive staff. They were not only energetic but also paid attention to details. Even during quieter times, I noticed the senior staff patiently teaching the new part-time employees. It made me feel that this place was different from others.

The ramen as a finishing touch after drinking, even though you know it's not good for you! At Machida Shoten, the soup is creamy and consistent, fitting for its name "Central". You can hardly taste the sharpness of soy sauce. If you think of it as a different type from traditional ramen and just enjoy it, it's actually quite delicious. The customer service at this shop is also good. Thank you for the meal!

I still have a craving for family-style ramen, so last time I went to Machida-ke, but this time I went to Machida Shouten 33. The half-noodle ramen for 740 yen with one free topping is a great deal. I chose spinach as a topping, with light salt, light oil, and firm noodles. However, when I tried it, the taste was weak! I made a mistake in adjusting the flavor... Machida-ke's ramen is quite salty to begin with, so it was good to go light, but... Also, the mini size had less soup and was overpowered by the noodles. The spinach was too mushy for my liking. I was happy that quail eggs were included by default. Next time, I'll go with the regular flavor...

After drinking in Machida, on the way back home, my body was craving ramen. I searched for a nearby ramen shop, and decided to go to Machida Shouten, a Yokohama style ramen shop. The shop was not crowded even though it was a weekend night, and my order arrived quickly. I tried the Salt Tonkotsu Ramen for 720 yen. The noodles were average, the flavor was rich, and there was plenty of oil. The shop's specialty seems to be the rich and oily broth, which was delicious. The noodles were cooked just right. The char siu can be left to individual preference. Overall, it was a perfect bowl of ramen to have after drinking.

After several years, I visited Machida Shouten, a popular capital-owned ramen restaurant. The soup had the reliable stability unique to central kitchens, and the noodles were cooked perfectly. This time, I ordered something like salt pork ramen, which I found a bit salty. The chashu and seasoned egg were delicious. Despite the lunchtime crowd, the cost-performance and taste make the wait worth it. The staff at this location is very friendly, even during busy times they see you off with a smile all the way to the door! I left the restaurant feeling satisfied. Thank you! Next time, I'll come back for the miso ramen!

On a regular night, we stopped by a ramen shop on the main street of Haramachida as the last stop of our drinking party. This chain restaurant is known for spreading "Yokohama-style ramen" from Iwate in the north to Okayama in the west. Despite the late hour, the counter was almost full, but we were able to find a table in the back just as we were looking for a food ticket. I ordered the "ramen" for 720 yen with the noodles cooked firm. It arrived in less than 10 minutes. The toppings included chashu, quail egg, spinach, and seaweed. When I took a sip of the soup, it was rich and creamy. The depth of the soy sauce base and pork bone broth created an exquisite flavor. The noodles, made in their own factory, were medium-thick straight noodles with a faint wheat aroma when chewed. The chewy texture was pleasant, and it went well with the rich soy sauce pork bone soup. The large chashu was tender and flavorful. The three sheets of seaweed were fragrant, and the spinach paired perfectly with the soup. It was also enjoyable to add chili bean sauce, grated garlic, and minced ginger from the condiments on the table to experience different flavors. I finished the bowl without getting tired of it until the end. Although it is a chain restaurant, they pursue deliciousness with dedication, and the reason for its popularity lies there.

Hello everyone! Today I would like to review a ramen shop called "Machida Shoten 33" that I visited late at night in Machida. The nearest station is Machida Station, about a 5-minute walk away. When I arrived at around 11:10 PM, there was already a line outside the shop. I originally planned to go to a Jiro-style ramen shop, but the line was too long, so I decided to try this place instead. I ordered the classic tonkotsu shoyu ramen (regular size) for 720 yen. I like my noodles firm and the flavor strong. Surprisingly, I was able to enter the shop quite easily, and my ramen was served about 15 minutes after lining up. The soup was creamy with just the right amount of oil. The quail egg and spinach also complemented the soup well. The noodles were medium thick and had a chewy texture. I tried adding garlic and ginger halfway through, and it was a perfect match. The location is convenient being close to the station, and it's great that they are open late even during these times. I may visit again when I get hungry late at night in Machida. Thank you for reading until the end. Let's meet again somewhere! I'll be back!

I had the opportunity to go to Machida at night, and this time I visited "Machida Shoten 33"! I had accumulated points on Machida Shoten's app, so I was able to get a free drink without buying a ticket this time. The staff's service and seating guidance were a bit lacking, which was a bit disappointing. The taste was as delicious as ever, and I was satisfied with the experience! There are some areas for improvement in terms of the staff's customer service, but it was completely acceptable, and I definitely want to visit again!

I arrived at the restaurant around 9 pm. There were about 5 people inside, and more customers arrived after me. I purchased a miso ramen for 800 yen from the ticket machine. I ordered rice as a Gold member benefit. I handed the food ticket to the staff and took my seat. This restaurant is known for its loud and lively atmosphere. It's not recommended for those who prefer a quiet dining experience, so be aware of that. The food was served about 5 minutes after handing in the ticket. The miso ramen was rich and I have always enjoyed it. In the past, it used to come with minced meat but now it's chashu, which was a bit disappointing for me as I prefer minced meat. The free toppings of onions and cucumbers, known as Q-chan, are a nice addition to the ramen and rice. I particularly like the onions. The soup today was a bit salty and the noodles, although thick, were a bit chewy. I used to frequent this restaurant but haven't visited in the past few months. I know the food can be really delicious, so next time I'll try the soy sauce pork bone ramen.

◼️Previous Tabelog rating: 3.42 (January 2022) Genre: Ramen, Tsukemen, Gyoza ◼️Food Ordered - Ajitama Ramen (820 yen) - Noodle upsize (100 yen) - Gyoza (290 yen) - Rice (100 yen) ●●●Overall Impression●●● I'm not really sure about the differences between ramen styles, but I just love tonkotsu ramen! The broth here is a bit saltier compared to other places. You can customize the richness of the flavor, firmness of the noodles, and amount of oil here. I opted for extra oil! ◆Ajitama Ramen (820 yen) ◆Noodle upsize (100 yen) The default flavor is quite strong! It has a rich and indulgent taste. The only Yokohama-style ramen I know is a bit milder, so I wonder if there are different schools within the Yokohama style. The noodles were slightly firm and incredibly delicious, so I've decided to always order firm noodles with tonkotsu ramen from now on. It was a great discovery for me. ◆Gyoza (290 yen) The gyoza had a thin skin and was simply delicious. It was indeed juicy. ◆Rice (100 yen) The rice was on the softer side. They also offer a large serving for an additional 150 yen. I wish they could make the large serving for 100 yen...haha. It's great that the rice had a Japanese rice-like texture, not like the dry Chinese restaurant style rice! ◼️Seating Counter and table seating available ◼️Crowdedness It wasn't too crowded, but there were quite a few customers. ◼️Service The service was good and pleasant. ◼️Solo female diner Easy for a solo female diner. Being able to enjoy tonkotsu ramen alone is a sign of a mature woman!

During the pandemic, I couldn't go to the store for a while, but when I passed by the store after a long time, I found that it was energetically open, so I went in right away. The staff welcomed me with a loud voice as always, and the ramen tasted just as good as before, so I left feeling very satisfied. I always order the Max Ramen and rice, so I'm happy that the taste and portion size remain consistent. In a store where I don't try various items, having the same thing every time is the best.
