In late February, I finished shopping in Kichijoji and had a late lunch at "Namaste Tokyo" located in Copis Kichijoji underground. I visited for the first time on a Sunday around 3 pm. It's an ethnic restaurant serving Indian, Nepalese, Thai, Vietnamese, and more cuisines! The lunch time until 5 pm was very convenient. The place was not crowded when I visited, so I could enter right away. The interior is a bit dim but has an exotic atmosphere with cute lighting. I like this kind of ambiance. There were three groups of customers before me. The seating space between the table and chairs is narrow. The menu offers a variety of dishes including Indian curries, Gapaosetsu, Tom Yum sets, Pho, and more. On that day, I was in the mood for curry, so I chose the C set of Indian curry for 999 yen (tax included). The set includes two types of curry with chicken and vegetables, and you can choose the spiciness level from 5 options. I chose the medium spiciness level. I chose naan over rice and had lassi as a drink. A salad was also included. Shortly after, the water, salad, and lassi arrived. I realized they didn't ask if I wanted my drink first or later. Then, the main curry dish arrived, looking delicious on a golden plate. The curry was in a small bowl but had plenty of ingredients. The chicken curry was spicy yet flavorful, and the medium spiciness level was just right. The vegetable curry had ginger in it, making it spicier but tasty. The body was warming up quickly. The naan was big, fluffy, and slightly sweet, and you can have seconds if you want. I was satisfied with one piece. I took a break with the sweet lassi. I finished the meal feeling full and satisfied. The staff asked how the food was during the meal, which was nice. At the payment, they thanked me with a smile and a bow. On weekdays during lunchtime, it seems that hot chai and coffee are free refills, which is a great deal. Thank you for the meal!
