There is an Indian curry restaurant in the basement of Copis. I had never been there at night before, but my kids wanted to go, so it was our first evening visit. I thought the prices might be high since it's not lunchtime, but I was wrong! The prices were almost the same, and the evening menu was even more varied! This time, we went a bit fancy with the Indian Special 2 (with beer). We had 2 pieces of Tandoori chicken, 2 types of curry, and garlic naan for around 1800 yen, I think. Sorry, I forgot to take a picture of the menu... Anyway, it was a very satisfying dinner!

I visited for lunch on Saturday and didn't have to wait in line, possibly because it was raining. The main dish is Indian curry, but the menu is extensive, including Thai dishes like pho and pad thai, as well as dumplings. The naan bread is large, and you can get refills. The mango lassi was delicious.

I went to this restaurant for lunch after being recommended by a friend. I ordered the C set which includes chicken curry and vegetable curry for 990 yen. The lunch set also comes with salad, drink, and naan or rice. What surprised me was that you can have as many coffees and chais as you want for free (self-service). I thought I could only choose naan or rice, but the Indian staff told me that I can have both, and they are all-you-can-eat! The Indian curry was delicious, and the overall experience was very satisfying at a reasonable price. This restaurant has become one of my go-to places now.

Somehow ended up in Kichijoji and wandered around looking for breakfast. Before I knew it, it was past 11:00 and I was hit with fatigue, so I decided to replenish my energy with some spices. I added a few extra items to the lunch set and had a delightful brunch. Thank you for the meal. It was delicious.

This is my favorite restaurant, an Indian restaurant near my younger brother's house. Due to the current situation, I haven't been able to visit for a while, but I finally had the chance to go back. The staff remembered me and my sister, and their attentive conversation created a very pleasant atmosphere. I had the butter curry and garlic naan lunch set, which also included a salad and mango lassi. The mango lassi had a taste that I preferred, with no sourness and a strong mango flavor. I love naan, but I usually can't finish it at other restaurants. The naan here had a rich flavor that kept me interested and I was able to finish it all. My father even ordered an extra half naan because he enjoyed it so much. This is our family's favorite Indian restaurant.

The set was supposed to be a pho set, but there is so much food that it's hard to tell if the pho or the side dishes are the main dish. There are things like shrimp spring rolls and rice dishes included, but it's too much for me to finish! I think it would be better if there was a little less. It's probably popular with women, though!

In late February, I finished shopping in Kichijoji and had a late lunch at "Namaste Tokyo" located in Copis Kichijoji underground. I visited for the first time on a Sunday around 3 pm. It's an ethnic restaurant serving Indian, Nepalese, Thai, Vietnamese, and more cuisines! The lunch time until 5 pm was very convenient. The place was not crowded when I visited, so I could enter right away. The interior is a bit dim but has an exotic atmosphere with cute lighting. I like this kind of ambiance. There were three groups of customers before me. The seating space between the table and chairs is narrow. The menu offers a variety of dishes including Indian curries, Gapaosetsu, Tom Yum sets, Pho, and more. On that day, I was in the mood for curry, so I chose the C set of Indian curry for 999 yen (tax included). The set includes two types of curry with chicken and vegetables, and you can choose the spiciness level from 5 options. I chose the medium spiciness level. I chose naan over rice and had lassi as a drink. A salad was also included. Shortly after, the water, salad, and lassi arrived. I realized they didn't ask if I wanted my drink first or later. Then, the main curry dish arrived, looking delicious on a golden plate. The curry was in a small bowl but had plenty of ingredients. The chicken curry was spicy yet flavorful, and the medium spiciness level was just right. The vegetable curry had ginger in it, making it spicier but tasty. The body was warming up quickly. The naan was big, fluffy, and slightly sweet, and you can have seconds if you want. I was satisfied with one piece. I took a break with the sweet lassi. I finished the meal feeling full and satisfied. The staff asked how the food was during the meal, which was nice. At the payment, they thanked me with a smile and a bow. On weekdays during lunchtime, it seems that hot chai and coffee are free refills, which is a great deal. Thank you for the meal!

I went for lunch. There are many similar restaurants, but this one was delicious! I ordered seafood curry and Tom Yum Pho. The seafood curry had plenty of ingredients without any fishy smell, and the naan was freshly baked. The spiciness of the curry was just right, and the fresh spring rolls were delicious too! I had seconds of the naan!

I visited the restaurant for lunch while being mindful of the three Cs. When I was guided to my table, the staff sprayed hand sanitizer on my hands. The butter chicken was delicious. Last time, my niece had the garlic naan which had a nice garlic flavor. This time, I also ordered the garlic naan and it was great with finely chopped garlic. The mango lassi was a bit too sour for my taste. The staff at the restaurant were attentive and made the experience enjoyable.

Namaste Tokyo Kichijoji Store [Sad Nepal was delicious] 2021 Curry 18 shops 32 meals 2021.1.25 ■ Dinner set curry 1 type ¥1,200 ▷ Choose Himalayan soup curry (the only Nepalese curry menu) ▶ Cheese naan +¥280 ▷ Salad ▷ Lassi Originally, I came here wanting to try the "Nepalese curry udon" that I found on a food blog. However, it seems that menu is no longer available. They kept recommending the Naan & Curry dinner set to me. When I asked if there was any Nepalese cuisine, they told me that the Himalayan soup curry was their only Nepalese curry. So, I ended up ordering the Himalayan soup curry and cheese naan, which seemed like an oddly unbalanced menu, but it was actually very delicious. The Himalayan soup curry is indeed a Nepalese version of Indian curry, where the process involves adding garlic and ginger towards the end, bringing out the richness and depth of flavor. It reminded me of a watery Rogan Josh. In other words, it was very delicious. However, things took a sad turn when I spoke to the staff. They mentioned that the Nepalese cuisine menu items were all removed because Japanese customers never ordered them. So, they ended up serving Nagoya-style tebasaki (chicken wings) and making Naan & Curry, which is more of an Indian-style dish, to cater to the Japanese customers' preconceptions. It's like having Chinese people in New York make faux Japanese cuisine. Japanese people who believe that Naan & Curry is authentic Indian cuisine are living under a great misunderstanding, based on their own preconceptions. They don't realize that a country ten times the population of Japan has ten times the food culture. This closed-off island nation is a result of Japan's educational system. Most Indian people living in Japan try Naan for the first time when they come here. Even though the majority of staff at Indian restaurants in Japan are Nepalese, Nepalese staff have limited opportunities to cook Nepalese cuisine, which is quite unfortunate. Not knowing is actually very disrespectful. Nepalese cuisine is delicious. Extremely delicious. But Japanese people don't let them cook it. I really want Nepalese people to have the chance to cook their delicious Nepalese cuisine to their heart's content. I hope one day Nepalese cuisine will become mainstream. But, it was delicious, so let's end on a positive note.

I went to "Namaste Tokyo" in Kichijoji for lunch yesterday. It was a little detour on my way home after work since Kichijoji station was nearby. The restaurant is located on the dining floor (B1F) of a large commercial facility a bit away from the station (specifically, right next to a ramen shop, see photo 1). I arrived around 11:20, shortly after the opening at 11:00, and was the first customer. I ordered the B set with spinach chicken curry and opted for chai as my drink. After about 3 minutes, the salad arrived, followed by the main dish and chai in another 3 minutes (see photo 4). The food was delicious! The portion was quite generous, and I found myself quickly running out of naan as I dipped it in the curry (similar to how rice disappears quickly in a Japanese meal). The chai was perfectly blended with milk, and when I added sugar, it became a sweet drink that complemented the curry well. Both naan and chai were refillable, and I had one extra serving of naan and two of chai. The staff promptly offered more naan when it was running low. Overall, the restaurant had great value, delicious food, fast service, and I highly recommend it.

I got takeout from here for the first time. The curry was not too oily, had a good flavor, and was delicious, just the way I like it. My family also praised it, and it was indeed delicious as they said even as takeout. I decided to visit for lunch while being mindful of social distancing. When we were seated inside, the staff sprayed hand sanitizer on our hands. The butter chicken was incredibly delicious. The cheese naan had just the right amount of cheese and was so tasty that I finished it all. Often, even if a dish tastes good at the beginning, it becomes heavy and hard to finish as it cools down, but this one was exceptional. My niece enjoyed the garlic naan she had, which had a nice garlic flavor. As for the mango lassi, it was a bit more sour than I prefer. The staff at the restaurant were attentive and considerate, creating a pleasant dining experience.

Visited around 12:20 on a regular day. The restaurant was about 60% full. I ordered the B lunch set with Sag Mutton. It was served in about 6 minutes. This was my first time trying the Sag Mutton here. The dish had a lot of rice. The rice had a strange color and taste, like rice from a rice cooker that was two days old. It didn't seem to have turmeric, garlic, or ginger. It had a unique flavor, almost like a mixed-in flavor. The subtle taste and the curry matched well. The Sag curry had a strong garlic and hing flavor, and the mutton was quite fatty, giving the curry a rich and hearty taste. It had a strong umami flavor, almost like offal. A curry that makes you want to eat more rice. The rice portion was quite large, but I had a little curry left over. The spiciness was not enough for me, even though I chose level 3 spiciness. Level 4 might have been better. They offered free refills of rice and naan, but I declined. They also served a salad with a proper dressing, which was a nice touch. Restaurants that don't skimp on dressings usually turn out well. The dressing had chopped pickles in it, giving it a unique flavor. And for this price, they even included a mango lassi. Overall, a good restaurant in the Namaste style.

This is a curry restaurant located in the B1 floor of Copis Kichijoji. They have a variety of lunch options, and there are clear sample menus in front of the store, making it easy to imagine and enter. The inside of the store is lit with colorful lanterns, creating a very exotic atmosphere. The tables are well arranged, and the overall atmosphere is cozy. - Lunch Set C 990 yen Chicken curry or vegetable curry, salad, drink There are 5 levels of spiciness for the curry, ranging from sweet and mild to very spicy. You can choose your preferred level of spiciness. There are also lunch sets from A to E. There seemed to be other sets available as well. The curry was not particularly surprising, but I chose a medium level of spiciness and it was just right, flavorful and enjoyable. The naan had a nice combination of soft and crispy parts, with a delicious aroma. It was a satisfying meal!

Kichijoji is a town with many curry restaurants, but surprisingly there are not many distinctive curry shops among the franchises and chain stores. However, most meals cost around 1,000 yen, so I make it a point to try out new places when I come across them. Today, I wasn't very hungry, but while wandering aimlessly, I stumbled upon this restaurant. It stood out with its flashy decor, in contrast to the relatively subdued entrances of other establishments. Despite not being very hungry, the all-you-can-eat naan caught my eye, so I decided to go in. The restaurant was almost half full and quite lively. I was seated at a 4-person table by a cheerful male staff member. I ordered the B set (890 yen tax included), which allowed me to choose my curry. I opted for the spinach and mutton curry, with a medium level of spiciness. The set also came with a drink, as usual, I chose a lassi. Strangely, the drink arrived first, followed by a large naan and the main dish. The naan was fluffy and white, with a slightly crispy tip. I tore off a piece and dipped it in the curry. The curry had no spiciness, perhaps due to the spinach toning it down or it was originally mild. Maybe they cater to families, hence the mild flavor. The mutton tasted similar to chicken. The naan was as described, soft and mildly sweet. The overall flavor was lacking in intensity, but the spinach added a nice touch. During lunchtime, you can enjoy unlimited hot coffee and chai. The chai was more like regular milk tea, lacking any cinnamon or other spices. Those who enjoy authentic local flavors should explore areas like the backstreets near Tokyu or close to Inokashira Park.

There is an Indian curry restaurant located in the basement of Copis Kichijoji! The lunch menu starting from 780 yen at this restaurant is great value for money! This time, I chose the C set which includes chicken curry and vegetable curry (980 yen). During lunchtime, a small salad and a drink are included (I ordered lassi). You can choose between naan or rice, but I recommend going for the naan! The naan is large and fluffy, with a hint of honey fragrance, making it satisfying to eat. The curries were not too spicy and easy to enjoy. Thank you for the meal!

I have tried various naan curries and I really like this restaurant! The naan has a great aroma of wheat flour and butter! The size and thickness of the naan varies depending on the restaurant, but I really love the naan here! It's not too thin and has a nice chewy texture that I really enjoy! I always order the creamy butter chicken curry. The curry flavor suits my taste! I always ask for it to be mild. For those who like spicy food, you can choose the level of spiciness so it's okay! The staff are also friendly and give off a good impression with their smiles and energy! I have been coming here about twice a month for a year now! I will definitely go again (*^^*)

This is an Indian restaurant located in the lively district of Musashino City. It is very convenient as it is close to a train station, bus stop, and parking lot. This time, I ordered Tandoori Chicken and beer, and the meat was thick and juicy. The alcohol selection was also plentiful besides beer. I recommend this place.
