A friend introduced me to this restaurant and we visited together. While the sukiyaki meat preferences may vary, I prefer lean meat so I ordered the red meat. It is recommended to eat it with white rice. We kept the alcohol consumption moderate. The aroma of the broth whets the appetite nicely. The prices are reasonable and the atmosphere of the restaurant is good. I would like to visit again.

I really wanted to eat meat, meat, meat! So I invited a young person to join me, and we indulged in a luxurious meal! We started with red meat, but when we tried the marbled meat, it just melted in our mouths. The thick cuts of meat were really amazing. We finished off with udon noodles. In the end, the three of us added more meat and ate a total of seven servings. We had two beers each and ate to our heart's content. It cost a little over 10,000 yen per person, but it was truly the best meat restaurant. Next time, we'll try the shabu-shabu.

Tonight we had shabu-shabu! We ordered one serving of lean meat and one serving of marbled meat for each person, for a total of two servings. For dessert, we had ramen with a soy sauce soup base, which made for a delicious broth for the shabu-shabu. The shabu-shabu was excellent, and the ramen was also great! We will definitely come back again!

Reasonably priced and highly praised "Masudaya" is known for its delicious beef hot pot at night and the long line for its bento boxes before noon. I went to buy a bento for the first time. If something is not in the showcase, do they make it after it's ordered? It takes a little time, but they provided freshly made food. The rice is also served hot after ordering, so it's nice and warm. The katsudon was also served hot, with tender meat and a hint of sweetness. It was really delicious! Today's special in the mixed bento was crab cream croquette! By the way, you can get a large portion of rice for an extra 60 yen. I wanted to get a paper menu, but they were out of stock. It was so delicious that I'm already thinking about what to try next time!

It's a high-quality yet reasonably priced sukiyaki restaurant that I love. They also offer bento boxes and side dishes for lunch, so you can be sure of the deliciousness of the meat! The staff will cook the first piece of meat for you. When you put the fresh egg on it and take a bite, the meat melts in your mouth. It's nice that you can enjoy it at your own pace. It had been a while since I last visited, but I confirmed once again that it is delicious and offers good value for money. The price varies depending on the grade of meat, but the highest grade sukiyaki, including vegetables, is 4,400 yen per serving. ❤️

The meat shop also does business here? The beautiful beef and the ideal shape for sukiyaki, cooked in a delicious broth, are delicious. Towards the end it may get a bit salty, but it's not a problem when you're chatting. Suki-yaki with wine is also great. I think I'd like to come back here with friends next time. Don't forget to eat the udon as the final dish. The prices are reasonable, so this is a good restaurant.

I finally got to dine at a restaurant that I had been trying to get into for a while but always found it fully booked whenever I called on the day. This time, there were a few empty seats, so I guess it was just the right timing and fate. Matsudaya is a well-established reservation-only restaurant that used to be a butcher shop. The prices are incredibly cheap, and with a serving of 200g of meat per person, you can get full without needing to order more. The quality you get for just a little more than what chain restaurants charge is truly impressive. I chose the Sukiyaki for 3300 yen per person, which is a favorite for those who like lean meat. You can also order additional sirloin for comparison. The price includes two eggs and vegetables, but be careful not to forget to add rice if you want. The broth is on the lighter side, not too sweet, making it a refreshing take on Sukiyaki. They carefully cook the beef fat and then a slice of meat for you, so be careful not to overcook it. After that, you can add the vegetables and enjoy at your own pace. It may not be suitable for those who prefer to have everything cooked by the staff, but I enjoyed being able to savor it slowly. I have never found such a delicious and cost-effective Sukiyaki outside of the Kagurazaka area, so I highly recommend it. They also offer bento boxes for lunch, although I haven't had the chance to try them yet as I don't usually come to Kagurazaka for lunch on weekdays.

The menu is simple. There are 3 levels of sukiyaki and 3 levels of shabu-shabu, with the highest level of sukiyaki costing around 4000 yen. This time, we ordered the second level sukiyaki which costs around 3000 yen, but even for 4 people, it was a huge portion. The quality of the meat is excellent, with plenty of marbling. I heard they handle the meat distribution themselves! There aren't many other side dishes, but the sukiyaki main dish is more than enough. I will definitely go back again!! Highly recommended!!

I always noticed a long line at Masudaya, a bento shop in Kagurazaka that serves mainly fried dishes (like a sukiyaki restaurant at night). You can just buy the fried dishes, so I chose items I hadn't tried before. The refined taste of the meat in the fried dishes was exceptional. I will definitely be back for more! It was delicious, thank you for the meal!

This is a shop located in the middle left side of Kagurazaka that offers beef hot pot at night and fried food/meat dishes for takeout during the day. It is always crowded during lunchtime with people working nearby, similar to the popularity of Ono Beef Shop in Kagurazaka. I decided to have yakisoba for lunch that day, but felt like I needed to replenish more protein. I remembered a shop near Iidabashi where I could buy menchi katsu or croquettes that I had visited once 6 years ago, so I decided to visit this shop. It was around 12:15 PM, and there was a line of about 5-6 people at the storefront. However, the turnover seemed fast, and I could see them frying food one after another inside. I lined up at the end and reached the front in less than 10 minutes. I purchased the most popular cabbage menchi for 140 yen and a baron croquette for 100 yen. The menchi and croquette I received were still warm. When I tried them back at the office, the cabbage menchi had a higher cabbage content than I expected, even more than the meat. The baron croquette was almost entirely mashed potato, and I couldn't detect any ground meat in it. Although they were both delicious, they were slightly mismatched for my goal of replenishing protein. I should have opted for the Wagyu menchi for 145 yen or the chicken karaage for 100g at 250 yen.

I had a great meal at this place, even though the price went up slightly to 4400 yen per person. I started with a luxurious sukiyaki, then poured the leftover egg over rice, switched to shabu-shabu, and finished with noodles. It was so delicious and I am completely full. Thank you for the feast!

This is a long-established restaurant known for its beef hot pot and sukiyaki. It is also famous for its excellent cost performance. They offer incredibly high-quality meat at a very reasonable price, making you wonder if they are making a profit. The menu is simple, offering only beef hot pot, sukiyaki, and shabu-shabu, but you won't regret whatever you choose. It is a very delicious and wonderful restaurant.

I made a reservation and revisited the restaurant. Although there was a sign saying "fully booked" outside, there was still some space available at the tables on the first floor. It seems like they are operating with reduced capacity and spacing between tables. I ordered two types of sukiyaki meat for one person each. Today's sukiyaki meat included Saga beef (4400 yen) in the front and Chiba beef (3300 yen) in the back. This comes with vegetables as well. I started with the Saga beef. It looked light but was actually quite flavorful. The slightly sweet sauce went really well with it. The sukiyaki was delicious! However, when it came to the Chiba beef, we had to cook it ourselves and the slices were too thin, so it didn't feel like we were eating sukiyaki. It was a bit disappointing. We thought they didn't serve the remaining meat cut for shabu-shabu because we arrived late, but it might have been their way of serving the Chiba beef specifically for sukiyaki. We ended up ordering one more serving, which was cut into larger pieces. We also ordered rice and finished off with a sukiyaki set meal style, which was just the right size and thickness.

Night ramen activity special edition on June 27, 2020. After a long two-year wait, we visited a place in Kagurazaka that operates as a butcher shop during the day and a sukiyaki restaurant at night. We made a reservation for 7:00 PM, as they only accept reservations. The seating arrangement ensured that customers were seated at equal intervals, with reservation control in place. We wasted no time and ordered two servings of sukiyaki for 4,400 yen each, along with beers. The A5 rank Saga beef arrived promptly, and the staff prepared the first half of the meal for us. The meat sizzled in the pot as we added leeks and onions, creating a delicious aroma. The staff recommended we start eating as soon as the meat was cooked. The meat melted in our mouths, and we savored every bite. After enjoying the meat, we added vegetables to cleanse our palates before moving on to the second half of the meal. We finished all the meat with delight and then tried the sukiyaki-flavored porridge for the first time. The combination of fluffy egg and rice in the savory broth was heavenly. It was a satisfying and delicious experience after such a long wait. The restaurant reopened in June with some changes, including a slight increase in prices. Despite the price increase, the cost performance is still good. Overall, we were very pleased with the experience at Masudaya in Kagurazaka.

The boss and colleagues went to a restaurant known for its delicious sukiyaki. Despite usually being crowded, it was surprisingly empty today, possibly due to the early hour or the current situation. They ordered the premium sukiyaki, which was prepared by the attentive staff. The dish started with beef fat, green onions, and meat, all cooked to perfection. The meat was thick and the texture of the green onions added to the deliciousness. Afterwards, they cooked the tofu, shungiku, enoki mushrooms, shiitake mushrooms, and white konjac in the pot, waiting for them to cook before enjoying with the thick meat and egg in a separate dish. It was their first time having sukiyaki served in such a meticulous way, but it was truly delicious! A wonderful sukiyaki experience, thank you for the meal!

The retro exterior with a sign for "Gyudon" caught my attention. It's a sukiyaki restaurant run by a butcher, and I've been curious about it for a while. The entrance seemed a bit hard to find, and there was always a sign saying "Full" whenever I passed by, so I knew I had to make a reservation. When I called in January, I was told that every Saturday in January was fully booked. It's really popular, it seems. So, in February, I made a reservation. Even on that day, there was a "Full" sign outside. We were seated on the second floor, and eventually, 4 out of 6 tables were occupied. They offer various beef dishes, including sukiyaki, gyudon, and shabu-shabu. Gyudon is a hot pot with various cuts of beef, and the taste is similar to sukiyaki. It's a bit cheaper than sukiyaki. There are two options for sukiyaki, and we each had the premium sukiyaki. On this day, the cheaper option was Aomori beef, while the more expensive one was Sendai beef. The waitress carefully cooked the first piece for us. The beef was generously cut, and each piece had a satisfying texture. The more expensive beef seemed a bit fatty, but it went down smoothly. High-quality wagyu beef is truly different. The broth was slightly sweet. Each person gets two eggs in advance. Both types of beef were delicious, and we were pleasantly full by the end. My husband debated whether to have another serving, but ended up asking for rice and made egg rice with the leftover dipping sauce. This place allows for such casual dining, which I appreciate. Even young couples and men eating with rice bowls in hand seemed to be enjoying their hot pot. It's a place where you can easily enjoy delicious beef. I'd like to come back with a reservation next time.

First time trying it out. Had the spicy cod roe fried chicken bento for lunch. At first, it seemed like a normal bento and I was a bit disappointed, but as I kept eating, I realized that the seasoning on the fried chicken was just right and delicious. This might become addictive. I now understand why there's always a line.

After a long time, I revisited this place. This time, I chose Sukiyaki from the start. It's amazing that you can get high-quality meat for less than 4000 yen per person. They even offer to grill the Sukiyaki for you. I couldn't resist and ended up ordering extra meat. I ended up eating too much because it was so delicious.

Shabu-shabu and sukiyaki restaurant. A foodie acquaintance living in the Iidabashi area made a reservation, and it was their first visit. There was a notice at the entrance saying that they were fully booked for the day. Even though I prefer shabu-shabu, the restaurant was filled with the delicious aroma of sukiyaki. I guess I have no choice but to have sukiyaki. They asked if I wanted the meat with less fat, so I left the ordering to my acquaintance, who said, "Then, we'll have 6 servings of sukiyaki." I wondered if one serving would be less. But when the meat arrived, it was a large plate full of it. The staff swiftly added fat, green onions, and meat to the pot. The thick slices of meat had a rich beefy flavor and were delicious. The fine texture of the shirataki noodles was to my liking. Tofu, white leeks, and chrysanthemum greens really go well with sukiyaki. Whoever came up with the idea of eating meat with raw egg was a genius. We were full, so we ordered two servings of udon noodles. The noodles had a firm texture and were well flavored, satisfying even those who weren't fond of udon. We added more chrysanthemum greens since there were few, and the shirataki noodles were delicious, so we added more. The amount of vegetables was not large, but I think the amount of meat was sufficient. When I asked the staff, they said each serving was 160g. We ate and ate.

I went after a long time. First, I had a 4400 yen sukiyaki meal by myself. The beef from Iwate was tender and delicious. Next, I tried the lean meat from Aomori, surprisingly tasty. Finally, I added udon noodles to finish off the meal.
