First visit. Following 'Arai Shoten', 'Bepoka', and 'MAZ', this is my fourth new visit to a Peruvian restaurant. I am currently obsessed with Peruvian cuisine and have been frequenting 'Bepoka', where the staff recommended this place to me. On a weekday night, I went alone to enjoy Peruvian cuisine.
**Access:**
The nearest station is Omotesando Station, walking along the Omotesando Street, near the famous pancake place 'Clinton Street'. Located on a side street.
**Interior:**
The place has a very stylish atmosphere, perhaps due to its location. It has a unique Peruvian feel in the decorations, yet it is very sophisticated. The table spacing is quite wide for this price range, making it perfect for a quiet adult date. The staff are all Peruvian but speak Japanese fluently, so no problem communicating. Despite being a first-time visitor, I quickly bonded with the staff by sharing my not-so-impressive history of visiting Peruvian restaurants and my list of desired places to visit.
**Impressions:**
Oh boy, it was incredibly delicious! Just like 'Bepoka', I hit another home run and now I have another must-visit place! I tried dishes like Ceviche and Causa, which I had also tried at 'Bepoka', but there were subtle differences between the two restaurants, each with its own personality. The Causa here focused more on the quality of ingredients and had a delicate impression, while the Ceviche had an even stronger lime acidity, which I personally preferred. Adding an extra dish to the course menu made it quite a generous portion (lol). Even the standard course menu would be sufficient for the average man. Peruvian cuisine is really delicious. Peru is often associated with Machu Picchu, but their cuisine is truly sophisticated and flavorful. I highly recommend it to those who have not yet experienced Peruvian cuisine!
**Today's course menu, including tax at 7200 yen, was as follows:**
- Chicha Morada (800 yen)
- Octopus and olive sauce, Mahi-Mahi ceviche sablé
- Ají Amarillo-flavored mashed potatoes, chicken, avocado, homemade mayonnaise (Causa)
- Ceviche
- Grilled shrimp skewers with Ají Panca sauce
- Peruvian asparagus cream soup
- Main course: Duck leg confit with cilantro sauce and rice
- Inca Kola (700 yen)
- Peruvian asparagus cream soup
- Main course: Duck leg confit with cilantro sauce and rice
This was a great choice. The duck confit alone was incredibly delicious, but when paired with cilantro-flavored rice, it created a wonderful harmony. By the way, I usually don't like cilantro (lol). Additionally, the ambiance of the restaurant was very cozy and the service was excellent. I will definitely be visiting again!
