Delica Hobnob @ Near Nishikanda Park (Nishikanda 2-chome) is open from 7:30 in the morning. I've passed by it countless times before, always thinking it was just another coffee shop. However, I discovered the word "Delica" in its name just the other day. For my generation, when you say "Delica," the first thing that comes to mind is the Eurasian Delicatessen that used to be in Roppongi. It was a fantastic place. I had their spaghetti with meat sauce in a large portion. Are the owners a husband and wife? An elderly man and woman run the place. The sizzling sound of spaghetti being fried in a hot pan resonates throughout the restaurant, creating high expectations. Now, let's talk about the food. The exterior looks great, and the generous portion is perfect for a university area like this. Speaking of generous portions, it reminds me of "Flamenco," which had the characteristic of difficult-to-eat spaghetti due to its large size fork. The tomato-based sauce in the foreground is probably pre-made, but that doesn't matter. This kind of meat sauce is just how it should be. As someone with a particular taste, I really love this type of food! The fact that smoking is allowed throughout the restaurant is a plus. You can check for smoke without any worries thanks to the clear glass facade. Next time, let's order a large portion of curry spaghetti with an additional fried egg!
