★3.3【FILE 4051】2023/05/01 (Mon) 13:53 Visited a sweets shop in the building on the ground floor of the former Sharon on Champagne location in Higashi-Nippori, which opened two days ago on April 29, 2023, combining Maison Souvenir from Nishinippori and Sharon on Champagne from Minowa. The interior of the shop is small and designed for takeout only. When you enter, there are sweets on the left, and at the back, there's a display of sweets. During my visit, there were two groups of two customers already inside. Later, two more groups of two customers came in, making it relatively crowded. The customer base is evenly split, with 50% male and 50% female customers. The service provided by the two female staff members was somewhat impersonal and transactional. They offered cakes such as Blood Orange Tart (594 yen including tax), Summer Kiyomi Tart (594 yen including tax), Maison Chocolat (432 yen including tax), Oku-Kuji Egg Shortcake (540 yen including tax), Spanish Tart Special (Kumquat) (518 yen including tax), Lemonade Tart (594 yen including tax), Spanish Tart (Loquat) (486 yen including tax), and Soufflé Fromage (518 yen including tax). I opted for the Blood Orange Tart (594 yen including tax) for takeout. Multiple cashless payment options were available at the checkout. The Blood Orange Tart features a thick, hearty tart with blood orange slices on the perimeter and whipped cream in the center. Upon tasting, the juicy blood orange flesh paired well with the thick tart crust, resulting in a delicious treat.
