"Gransta Marunouchi - Korean Restaurant 'Hanbije Gransta Marunouchi Store'" is located on the basement floor 1 of JR Tokyo Station in 'GRANSTA Marunouchi,' just outside the station gates. It is situated next to Mango Tree and in front of Kinokuniya bookstore, among other places.
The concept of this Korean restaurant is "Korean home-cooked dishes that make your heart and body beautiful." It offers a variety of healthy dishes, and it appears to be part of a larger chain, often found in places like Lumine and LaLaport food courts. They serve breakfast as well since it's located in a train station.
For lunch, they have a menu with a wide range of options. They offer various types of "kimbap," including a 7-ingredient vegetable kimbap and pork kimchi kimbap. In addition to individual items, they also have a "Half & Half Menu" where you can choose from dishes like "Bibimbap," "Cold Noodles," and "Pulgogi Ramen."
I ordered the "Half & Half Set," which included "Stone Bibimbap" and "Cold Noodles." My friend ordered the "Half & Half Kimbap" with vegetable kimbap and pulgogi kimbap, along with pulgogi sundubu.
For side dishes, we had "Japchae," which was stir-fried Korean glass noodles with vegetables and garnished with rolled omelet. It might have been even better with a bit more sesame oil. We also had "Jeon" (Korean pancakes), which were crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, filled with vegetables and octopus. They came with a ponzu-like sauce.
The first half of our meal was the "Stone Bibimbap," served sizzling hot with a raw egg yolk on top. It had plenty of ingredients like burdock, radish namul, bean sprouts, and fernbrake namul. The bottom got crispy while waiting for it to cool, and you could customize the flavor with the included gochujang sauce. We mixed it thoroughly to enjoy all the flavors together.
The second half of our meal was the "Cold Noodles," which featured thin noodles made with buckwheat flour and topped with boiled egg, cucumber, tomato, chicken, onion, and shredded radish. We added vinegar to the light soup for extra flavor. The noodles were soft but not overly chewy, with a smooth texture. Despite sharing a half-and-half set, we left the restaurant feeling quite full.
The convenience of this restaurant, being near our workplace, prompted us to give it a try. If the staff had a friendlier attitude, it would have added to the overall dining experience.
