"Rosu Katsu Curry 768 yen [Energy 1034kcal Carbohydrates 137.2g] I love Joyful and can't stop. I still remember last year when Joyful was in financial crisis, I went on a Joyful tour (mostly for daytime drinking) in the outskirts of Miyazaki City. Until the passive smoking prevention obligation on April 1st of this year, there was always a designated smoking area, which was much appreciated by a baby smoker like me. By the way, Joyful founder's eldest son, Yoichi Anamizu, is a member of the "Mokumoku Club" aimed at preserving the rights of smokers. It seems to be against the current public opinion. Today, I visited this restaurant alone on my way back after sending my friend to the airport. The parking lot shared with Cosmos and Nishimatsuya is unusually spacious. I ordered the Rosu Katsu Curry. Don't underestimate family restaurant curry; Joyful's curry has a good reputation (at least for me). I'm also curious about the "[NEW]" notation. The curry arrived in about 10 minutes. "Hmm, something seems different!" First of all, visually, the curry sauce is slightly lighter in color. When I checked the past logs (November 2019), first of all, the menu name is different (see photo). It used to be "Tonkatsu Beef Curry." The price has also gone down, but in terms of flavor, the richness and umami seem to have diminished. The pork cutlet is still delicious as before. Well, it's still delicious, but the "Very Delicious Pork Cutlet Curry" has dropped to "Just Delicious Pork Cutlet Curry." Looking at the past logs, many Joyful restaurants are marked as "Closed." Personally, Joyful is the king of family restaurants. I have a long history with it and have been there countless times. Hang in there, Joyful! Cheers!"
