[2022, Hokkaido Series 10] Well, on the last night in Sapporo, after having dinner with relatives, we headed to an izakaya as usual, and then went for some ramen to finish off the night... just like young folks would do! (Laughs) The ramen shop for the finale was, of course, "Shoyuya Honten." You can't talk about Shoyuya Honten without trying that. (I've talked quite a bit about it...) "Kokatsumaru Ramen (700 yen including tax) + Large Portion (+110 yen)" appeared divinely. (Ate a lot and got the large portion!) Oh, as always, it looks beautiful! The fact that the bowl and soup are piping hot as usual is also delightful. As for the taste? Yep, it's delicious as always. It has a deep richness and sweetness, almost like the umami of chicken broth mixed with the flavor of vegetables, and yet it has a refreshing taste that's unmatched by any other. The slightly firm, medium-thin curly noodles are just right. The tender chashu, the subtly soy-flavored boiled egg, and the toppings like menma, naruto, and aburaage are all delicious. Hmm, if Kokatsumaru-chan were a woman, you'd fall in love with her! This time, I was able to take a long break after a long time, so I had a great time going to various places, including the zoo. I want to express my gratitude to my cousin and her child who accompanied me even though I pushed myself a little. The parents are worried about their daughter's selfishness, but she's really pure and kind, isn't she? She'll be in high school next year, so we probably won't be able to go out together anymore, but I'll definitely go for ramen with her parents again! (Laughs) Unchangingly delicious, beloved Kokatsumaru Ramen, and I had a fantastic time in Sapporo. I'll be heading home before the Bon Festival, but I'm sure my ramen-loving relatives, parents, and ancestors in heaven are all saying, "Doesn't Kokatsumaru-chan look delicious?" Thank you for the meal.
