二日酔い飯
"Tempura Yamanoue at Tokyo Midtown is a famous restaurant. It's conveniently located near my usual hangout spot, so I often go there. This time, I decided to have lunch there again. I've tried their special tempura bowl and evening courses before, so I thought I'd go for something different this time. I made a reservation for a table and was greeted by the usual cozy atmosphere.
Here's the menu:
- Tempura Set A: 10,000 yen
- Tempura Set B: 14,500 yen
- Tempura Set C: 20,000 yen
- Seasonal Kakiage Tempura Bowl: 4,600 yen
- Vegetable Tempura Bowl: 4,300 yen
- Tempura Bowl: 4,800 yen
- Special Tempura Bowl: 8,000 yen
The prices are on the high side, but I decided to try something I haven't had before, so I went for the regular tempura bowl. For my drink, I ordered black oolong tea. You can choose between a rich or light dipping sauce for the tempura, and I went with the rich one.
The black oolong tea arrived in a unique glass. It had a modest amount. Soon, the tempura bowl arrived, and it looked delicious. It included 3 prawns, kisu fish, chili pepper, and kakiage (mixed vegetable tempura). I took a bite, and it was indeed delicious. The portion seemed reasonable, and the tempura had a crispy texture and tasted great. The plump prawns were sweet and delightful. With three of them, it was a treat for shrimp lovers. The kisu fish was in season and had a lovely, tender texture. It wasn't the special tempura, but it was still very tasty. In terms of price, it's more expensive than the regular tempura, but cheaper than the special one. The clam soup was also delicious.
In conclusion, the tempura bowl was delicious. The fact that it's located within Midtown makes it easily accessible. Spring tempura is a real delight! I'll definitely come back for their evening tempura set when I have the chance. I'm satisfied!"
